    Social Emotional Character of Bullying Perpetrators in Elementary School with Varying Levels of Aggression

    Elementary school bullying is still a widespread and problematic phenomenon that negatively affects both the bully and the victim. The purpose of this study is to explore the social and emotional character of bullying perpetrators within an elementary school context as a mechanism for identifying intervention strategies that are both responsive and specific. This research utilized a descriptive qualitative method with a case study involving six male students in grade 5 from Public Elementary School 1 Sowan Lor who are classified as bullying perpetrators. Data were gathered through the use of in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and pertinent documentation, and analyzed following Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. Findings of this study suggest that two students engaged in high-intensity bullying characterized by emotionally dysregulated, frequently aggressive verbal and physical acts of bullying targeted towards peers who were interpreted to be attention-seeking. The other four students demonstrated moderate levels of bullying– their behaviour influenced by peer relations and provocation, but with a greater degree of emotional control most of the time. These findings underscore the salience of emotional instability, low empathy, and peer influence for bullying behavior. This emphasizes the need to introduce early character-based educational incentives that build learners’ emotional intelligence, empathy, and positive social connectedness, ensuring all young pupils experience a school climate where they feel safe and supported

    The relationship between loneliness, nomophobia, and psychological well-being of migrant students

    Purpose – This study aims to see the extent of the relationship between loneliness, nomophobia, and psychological well-being of Maulana Hasanuddin Islamic University Banten. Method – This study involved 69 students who were selected using convenience sampling techniques, class of 2020-2023. The measuring instruments used in this study were loneliness, nomophobia, and psychological well-being. Result – The results of this study indicate a negative and significant relationship between the three variables, namely loneliness, nomophobia and psychological well-being of migrant students. Based on the findings of the study, it shows that migrant students who feel lonely will be more dependent on smartphones as a source of connection to their social networks. This can lead to increased nomophobia, and reduce their psychological well-being. If migrant students experience anxiety when they cannot use their smartphones, this will worsen feelings of loneliness and reduce psychological well-being. Implication – The importance of the results of this study can be a basis for campuses and counseling service institutions to design interventions that support mental health, such as programs to improve social skills, stress management, and healthy digital literacy to prevent dependence on gadgets as an escape from social isolation. Originality/Value – This study examines the relationship between three psychological variables simultaneously, namely loneliness, nomophobia, and psychological well-being, specifically in the group of migrant students. This study provides a new perspective on the factors that influence the psychological well-being of students in the context of educational mobility and technological progress

    Classical guidance services think pair share method in increasing student self-confidence

    Purpose – The purpose of this research is to find out how applying classical guidance services with the Think Pair Share method increases the confidence of students in class X TKP 1 at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. Method – This research used a quantitative approach and Guidance Action Research (PTBK) method. The research subjects were 36 class X TKP 1 students, and the research location was held at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. The data analysis used a Paired T-Test. Result – The results showed that the think-pair share method in classical guidance services effectively increased the self-confidence of students in class X TKP 1 at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. This improvement can be seen from various indicators, such as confidence in self-ability, courage to express opinions, and ability to socialise. Implication – The result of this research is expected to provide a new variation for counselling teachers in conducting classical guidance learning with the think-pair share method, where this method can increase self-confidence in students. Originality/Value – This research is a research that discusses the implementation of classical guidance services using the think-pair share method to increase self-confidence in students. *** Tujuan – Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan layanan bimbingan klasik dengan metode Think Pair Share dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas X TKP 1 di SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. Metode – Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan (PTBK). Subjek penelitian adalah 36 siswa kelas X TKP 1, dan lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. Analisis data menggunakan uji t berpasangan. Hasil – Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode think-pair share dalam layanan bimbingan klasik secara efektif meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas X TKP 1 di SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. Peningkatan ini dapat dilihat dari berbagai indikator, seperti kepercayaan diri dalam kemampuan diri, keberanian untuk mengemukakan pendapat, dan kemampuan bersosialisasi. Implikasi – Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan variasi baru bagi guru bimbingan konseling dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran bimbingan klasik dengan metode think-pair share, di mana metode ini dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa.     Dampak Pemanfaatan Tayangan Youtube & Pengenalan Youtube Kids Pada Pengembangan Nilai Moral Anak

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak pemanfaatan tayangan youtube & pengenalan youtube kids pada pengembangan nilai moral anak di kelompok B RA Al Ikhlas Birobuli Kecamatan Palu Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatuf deskriptif. Adapun subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 15 anak, terdiri dari 6 anak laki-laki, dan 9 anak perempuan pada semester ganjil tahun 2024/2025. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dokumentasi, angket, dan wawancara. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan mendeskripsikan. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pengembangan nilai moral terlihat pada perubahan nilai moral anak dalam aspek kejujuran, sopan santun, dan tanggung jawab. Sebagian besar anak berada pada kategori BSH. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tayangan YouTube memiliki dampak yang beragam terhadap nilai moral anak Dengan hal tersebut pengembangan nilai moral anak terlihat dengan jelas, dari ketiga aspek yang diamati peneliti, menunjukkan hasil bahwa pemanfaatan YouTube dan YouTube Kids dapat mengembangkan nilai moral anak di kelompok B RA Al Ikhlas Birobuli Kecamatan Palu Selatan

    Masjid Agung Demak Sebagai Artefak Urban Penanda Sejarah Pembentukan Kota Demak

    Masjid Agung dan Alun-alun di pusat kota Demak, di pesisir utara Jawa Tengah, memiliki sejarah yang panjang. Awalnya adalah sebuah masjid kecil dengan lapangan di sisi Timurnya sebagai pusat dari pesantren Glagah Wangi dalam hutan Bintara yang dibuka oleh Raden Patah. Masjid ini kemudian dibangun kembali sejalan pengembangan pesantren Glagah Wangi menjadi Kutanegara Demak Bintara. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa Masjid Agung Demak merupakan artefak urban yang berperan dalam pembentukan kota Demak semenjak dari embrio kota. Landasan metodologi adalah dengan menelaah Masjid Agung kota Demak secara sinkronik sebagai salah satu elemen primer kota dalam perkembangan kota, dan secara diakronik menganalisis elemen primer kota tersebut mengikuti sejarah pertumbuhan kotanya. Teori yang dipakai untuk menunjang metodologi tersebut adalah hipotesa Aldo Rossi kota adalah sebuah arsitektur total. Diskusi untuk menghasilkan sebuah hipotesa bahwa Masjid Agung Demak sebagai elemen primer memiliki kelanggengan (“permanence”), menjadi sebuah artefak urban, merupakan locus kota; penanda kota sekaligus dapat dijadikan monumen untuk sejarah kota tersebut. Kesimpulan tulisan ini bagi para pemangku kepentingan kota Demak adalah perlunya rencana strategi pelestarian Masjid Agung Demak, sekaligus pengembangan kawasan Masjid Agung Demak dan Alun-alun sebagai elemen primer pusat kota Demak yang mampu mengikuti dinamika sosial-ekonomi.   Kata kunci: kota demak, masjid agung, elemen primer, pembentukan kota, artefak urba

    Strategi kesiapsiagaaan menghadapi bencana di Perpustakaan UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar

    Purpose. This study aims to determine the disaster preparedness carried out by the UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar Library in disaster prevention. It is hoped that this study will be an important contribution to institutions regarding the need for a standard on disaster preparedness. Methodology. The methods used in this research use qualitative methods. In data collection researchers use direct observation techniques, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Results and discussion. The preventive measures that the library has undertaken by organizing, training, and simulating disasters are usually held by the university every year and are dedicated only to K3 officers. In addition, the library's cooperation with local cooperating with the firefighters. Responsive action makes plans and rescue efforts collections at the UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar Library, training, and disaster simulations are usually held by the university every year to occupational safety and health team. The repairs in 2009 in West Sumatra were devastated by an earthquake and caused the walls of the library to crack and the ceilings of the libraries to fall onto the shelves, as well as causing a lot of dust to burst into the books. To anticipate that, the library did a fumigation. Conclusions. Overall, the library has planned optimal disaster preparedness, which is sourced from the provision of equipment and work safety training in dealing with disasters. As a recommendation from the author, it is expected to provide disaster response training for library managers so that they can respond quickly when a disaster occurs

    The Role of the Service Office in Managing Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah Funds, at LAZISMU Jember

    This study aims to examine the management and role of the LAZISMU Service Office in increasing the raising of Zakat, Infaq, Waqf, and Sadaqah (ZISWAF) funds at LAZISMU Jember Region. This research is a field research, with data collection methods used through interviews, observation and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis methods to describe the results of the study. The position of the LAZISMU Service Office is the same as the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) which has an important role in managing ZISWAF funds. This LAZISMU Service Office is in direct contact with the Amil Zakat to the mustahiq. Currently the number of LAZISMU Service Offices formed by LAZISMU Jember Region is 11 (eleven) Service Offices spread across the Branch. Referring to Law Number 23 of 2011 concerning Management of Zakat Article 1 paragraph 9, the functions and duties of the LAZISMU Service Office are to collect, distribute and utilize zakat. However, in practice several LAZISMU Jember Service Offices have not run optimally in managing these zakat funds. The influencing factors are; First, the lack of human resources in the LAZISMU Service Office. Second, the lack of public awareness to pay zakat through Amil Zakat Institutions. Third, there is still a lack of knowledge of the Service Office administrators regarding the management of zakat. Fourth, the lack of guidance from LAZISMU Jember Region to the Service Office administrators. So that this greatly influences the role and contribution of the LAZISMU Service Office to the raising of ZISWAF funds at LAZISMU Jember Region. Suggestions given by this study is the need of intensive guidance for zakat managers in the Service Office by LAZISMU Jember Region. It is hoped that with the guidance for Service Office administrators they can improve their ability to manage and ZISWAF, so as to be able to optimize the potential of existing zakat, especially in Jember Regenc

    Sacralism of Customary Law in Marriage: Local and National Legal Contestation in Indonesia

    Indonesia's legal framework has yet to formally recognize customary marriages within its Marriage Law, leaving indigenous communities without adequate legal protection despite their cultural and spiritual significance. Customary law communities, such as the Tengger community in Probolinggo and the Sedulur Sikep community in Pati, hold sacred beliefs and rituals tied to their ancestral heritage, resulting in a tension between customary and national legal systems. This study aims to address this gap by exploring the legitimacy of customary marriages and proposing legal reforms to accommodate their recognition. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, documentation, and interviews with members of the selected indigenous communities. The findings reveal three key insights: Indigenous communities adhere strongly to traditional marriage rituals as a continuation of ancestral values; the sacralism of customary marriage holds greater significance for these communities than national law, as it ensures legitimacy in the eyes of their ancestors; and the absence of legal recognition and protection for customary marriages by the state perpetuates legal and social marginalization. This study emphasizes the importance of adopting a legal pluralism perspective to bridge the gap between customary and national legal frameworks. It recommends reformulating Indonesia’s Marriage Law to include provisions recognizing the legitimacy and formal registration of customary marriages, ensuring harmony between cultural preservation and legal protection. Kerangka hukum Indonesia belum secara formal mengakui perkawinan adat dalam Undang-Undang Perkawinan, sehingga masyarakat adat tidak memiliki perlindungan hukum yang memadai meskipun mereka memiliki makna budaya dan spiritual. Komunitas hukum adat, seperti komunitas Tengger di Probolinggo dan komunitas Sedulur Sikep di Pati, memegang teguh kepercayaan dan ritual yang terikat pada warisan nenek moyang, sehingga menimbulkan ketegangan antara sistem hukum adat dan sistem hukum nasional. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kesenjangan ini dengan mengeksplorasi legitimasi perkawinan adat dan mengusulkan reformasi hukum untuk mengakomodasi pengakuan mereka. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara terhadap anggota komunitas adat terpilih. Temuan ini mengungkapkan tiga temuan utama: Masyarakat adat sangat memegang teguh ritual perkawinan tradisional sebagai kelanjutan nilai-nilai leluhur; sakralisme perkawinan adat mempunyai arti yang lebih penting bagi komunitas ini dibandingkan hukum nasional, karena hal ini menjamin legitimasi di mata nenek moyang mereka; dan tidak adanya pengakuan dan perlindungan hukum terhadap perkawinan adat oleh negara melanggengkan marginalisasi hukum dan sosial. Kajian ini menekankan pentingnya mengadopsi perspektif pluralisme hukum untuk menjembatani kesenjangan antara kerangka hukum adat dan kerangka hukum nasional. Artikel ini merekomendasikan perumusan ulang Undang-Undang Perkawinan Indonesia untuk memasukkan ketentuan-ketentuan yang mengakui legitimasi dan pencatatan formal perkawinan adat, memastikan keselarasan antara pelestarian budaya dan perlindungan hukum

    Literacy Skills of Digital-Age Primary School Students in Mandailing Natal Regency

    This research aimed to investigate literacy skills, the underlying causes of low literacy levels, and the implications for primary school students in the digital age. The researcher employed a qualitative field research methodology, collecting data through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and the utilization of Google Forms. The data analysis involved systematic reduction, presentation of findings, and the formulation of conclusions, all while employing coding techniques and categorizing themes. The findings indicate that the literacy skills of elementary school students in Indonesia remain significantly underdeveloped. A considerable number of students encounter difficulties in comprehending simple texts, organizing their thoughts in writing, and understanding the material presented by teachers. Additionally, they face challenges in grasping fundamental mathematics and science concepts, as well as effectively utilizing digital tools in their educational experiences. Several factors contribute to the observed low literacy levels, including a lack of supportive familial environments, inadequate integration of technology in educational settings, ineffective instructional models, and limited access to digital resources and training. The repercussions of insufficient literacy skills are evident in students’ difficulties in solving problems, accessing information, and articulating their thoughts, both verbally and in written form. To mitigate this issue, it is recommended that educators integrate digital tools into their pedagogical strategies. This can be achieved through the implementation of project-based learning and the use of educational podcasts disseminated via online platforms

    The impact of cultural interaction on the effectiveness of muslimah da'wah communication in Indonesia

    Purpose – The study is to explore how cultural factors influence the delivery and reception of Islamic teachings by Muslimah da’wah practitioners and the communities they engage with. Method – This study employs a qualitative research design, collecting data through in-depth interviews with Muslimah da'wah activists, community leaders, and recipients of da'wah messages in various regions of Indonesia. The study found that cultural values and traditions significantly shape the way da'wah messages are communicated and accepted, with regional variations influencing the effectiveness of these communications. Result  -  The results indicate that Muslimah da'wah practitioners who incorporate local cultural elements into their messages are more successful in engaging their audiences. This study emphasizes the significance of cultural sensitivity in da'wah practices and provides valuable insights into enhancing the effectiveness of Muslimah da'wah in Indonesia. The findings suggest that understanding and adapting to cultural contexts is essential for improving communication strategies in religious outreach. Implication – The implications of this research are significant for both da’wah practitioners and scholars of Islamic communication, emphasizing the need for a culturally informed approach to religious communication. Originality / Value – The study examines the impact of cultural interaction on the effectiveness of da'wah in Indonesia, providing unique insights into how cultural factors influence Muslimah da'wah communication strategies and highlighting the importance of cultural sensitivity in religious outreach. *** Tujuan – Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali bagaimana faktor budaya memengaruhi penyampaian dan penerimaan ajaran Islam oleh para praktisi da’wah Muslimah serta masyarakat yang mereka jangkau. Metode – Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan aktivis da’wah Muslimah, pemimpin komunitas, dan penerima pesan da’wah di berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa nilai dan tradisi budaya secara signifikan membentuk cara pesan da’wah disampaikan dan diterima, dengan variasi regional yang memengaruhi efektivitas komunikasi tersebut. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktisi da’wah Muslimah yang mengintegrasikan unsur-unsur budaya lokal dalam pesan mereka lebih berhasil dalam melibatkan audiens mereka. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya sensitivitas budaya dalam praktik da’wah dan memberikan wawasan berharga untuk meningkatkan efektivitas da’wah Muslimah di Indonesia. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pemahaman dan penyesuaian terhadap konteks budaya sangat penting untuk memperbaiki strategi komunikasi dalam penyuluhan agama. Implikasi – Implikasi dari penelitian ini sangat signifikan bagi praktisi da’wah dan akademisi komunikasi Islam, dengan menekankan perlunya pendekatan komunikasi agama yang peka terhadap budaya. Orisinalitas / Nilai – Penelitian ini menggali dampak interaksi budaya terhadap efektivitas da’wah di Indonesia, memberikan wawasan unik tentang bagaimana faktor budaya membentuk strategi komunikasi da’wah Muslimah dan menekankan pentingnya sensitivitas budaya dalam penyuluhan agama.
