    Legendre Collocation approach for Integro-Differential equations

    This study presents the application of the Legendre Collocation Method (LCM) for solving Integro-Differential Equations (IDEs), which model a range of scientific and engineering problems.IDEs, involving both differential and integral terms, often require numerical methods for their solutions due to the complexity of obtaining exact solutions. The proposed approach transforms IDEs into systems of linear algebraic equations using shifted Legendre polynomials. By collocating the resulting equations, approximate solutions are efficiently computed. The accuracy of the method is validated through several numerical examples, including Volterra and Fredholm types of IDEs, and the results are compared with known exact solutions. The effectiveness and robustness of LCM are demonstrated through high-order approximations. The theoretical uniqueness of the method is established using relevant theorems, including the Banach Contraction Principle. Overall, the LCM provides a reliable and efficient technique for solving a wide class of IDEs with high accuracy.

    Tradition meets technology: The role of Artificial Intelligence in Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah’s digital adaptation

    The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the digital media landscape has generated a duality of concerns and hopes among religious organizations such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah. On one hand, AI is perceived as potentially eroding humanistic values; on the other, it offers the promise of accelerating the dissemination of Islamic teachings through digital platforms. This study aims to examine the adaptation process of AI technology within the digital media ecosystems of both organizations and to identify the key enabling and inhibiting factors. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with selected informants and institutional document analysis. The study adopts Everett Rogers’ diffusion of innovation model, encompassing five stages: knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, and confirmation. Findings reveal that NU has adopted AI through platforms such as Siskader, Kitab AI, Pandai AI, and sentiment analysis, while Muhammadiyah has developed Chat HPT, Goal Align Assessment, and AI-based customer service tools. These adaptations are driven by pressures to modernize, the need for a progressive organizational image, cadre openness to innovation, and user enthusiasm. Conversely, limited financial resources, insufficient computational capacity, and prolonged training durations are significant barriers. The study underscores the importance of a collaborative approach that integrates Islamic values with digital innovation strategies to enhance the da’wah capacity and organizational transformation in the age of artificial intelligence. ***** Perkembangan pesat Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) dalam lanskap media digital telah menimbulkan dualitas kekhawatiran dan harapan di antara organisasi keagamaan seperti Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) dan Muhammadiyah. Di satu sisi, AI dipandang berpotensi mengikis nilai-nilai humanistik; di sisi lain, AI menawarkan janji untuk mempercepat penyebaran ajaran Islam melalui platform digital. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meneliti proses adaptasi teknologi AI dalam ekosistem media digital kedua organisasi tersebut dan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat utamanya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan informan terpilih dan analisis dokumen institusional. Studi ini mengadopsi model difusi inovasi Everett Rogers, yang mencakup lima tahap: pengetahuan, persuasi, keputusan, implementasi, dan konfirmasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa NU telah mengadopsi AI melalui platform seperti Siskader, Kitab AI, Pandai AI, dan analisis sentimen, sementara Muhammadiyah telah mengembangkan Chat HPT, Goal Align Assessment, dan alat layanan pelanggan berbasis AI. Adaptasi ini didorong oleh tekanan untuk modernisasi, kebutuhan akan citra organisasi yang progresif, keterbukaan kader terhadap inovasi, dan antusiasme pengguna. Sebaliknya, keterbatasan sumber daya keuangan, kapasitas komputasi yang tidak memadai, dan durasi pelatihan yang panjang merupakan hambatan yang signifikan.     The Effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with Scaffolding on High School Students' Creative Thinking Skills

    This study was conducted to determine whether there is a difference in students' creative thinking skills before and after problem-based learning with scaffolding . The instruments used in this study were a creative thinking skills test instrument and a non-test instrument consisting of an observation sheet and a student response questionnaire. The results of statistical tests showed a significant difference in creative thinking skills after problem-based learning with scaffolding . This is also indicated by the increase in test results in the moderate category in the control class by 53% and in the experimental class by 72% in the same category, resulting in a gain value of 0.33 (moderate). In addition, there was a positive response to problem-based learning with scaffolding  as seen in the average percentage of agreement in student responses, namely 84%, which is included in the very good categor

    Purpose. This study aims to explore the use of Chat AI and see the information search behavior patterns of students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University. Methodology. This research was conducted by survey with descriptive. The respondents were diploma and undergraduate students from the Faculty of Economics at Udayana University. The questionnaire was distributed through WhatsApp groups by filling out a google form and open questions. Results and discussion. More than half of the students have utilized AI technology, particularly Chat AI, in their coursework to complete daily assignments. However, the information obtained through Chat AI is not yet fully trusted. Their information-seeking behavior tends to follow Ellis's model due to the relevance of the information to their needs. Conclusions. The ease of obtaining information and time efficiency offered by AI has created a trend among students in their learning process. However, limitations on AI usage are necessary to maintain the integrity of higher education

    Islamic Community Development Study Program Strategy Towards Superior Accreditation (Swot Analysis of the PMI UIN Alauddin Makassar Study Program)

    This research aims to identify and map the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Challenges of the Islamic Community Development Study Program at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication at UIN Alauddin Makassar to become a superior accredited study program. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that: 1) The strengths of the Islamic Community Development study program include the availability of formal governance and governance system documents, the availability of formal organizational structure documents, and the availability of valid evidence that includes credibility, transparency, accountability, responsibility and fairness. 2) The weaknesses of the Islamic Community Development study program are the lack of competent teaching staff, limited curriculum, limited facilities, lack of funding, and minimal collaboration with external parties. 3) Opportunities for the Islamic Community Development study program include developing a relevant and innovative curriculum, collaborating with leading institutions, using digital technology, training and competency development. 4) The challenges of the Islamic Community Development study program are limited human resources, limited funding, limited infrastructure and facilities, curriculum challenges, competition with other study programs, bureaucratic and regulatory obstacles, challenges in research and publication

    Implementation of Wallace's Creative Process in Learning Batik through the Splash Technique for Elementary Education Students

    Batik is significant in Indonesian culture and is recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. However, students of the elementary education department (PGMI) have a limited grasp of the batik-making process. This research aims to clarify the creative steps involved in producing batik using the splash technique, as practiced by PGMI IBN Tegal students during their Art Practice course. The study utilized a descriptive qualitative approach to gather data. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with the students and the batik entrepreneur, Nur Elza. Additionally, direct observations and documentation were incorporated into the research process. To analyze the data, we employed the interactive model developed by Miles and Huberman, ensuring the validity of our findings through the triangulation of various techniques and sources. The results indicate that the creative process, as detailed by Wallace regarding the splash technique in batik, encompasses several stages: preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. Each stage provides students with both theoretical insights and practical experience in splashing batik techniques, thereby enhancing the competencies of future elementary school teachers to better respond to the dynamic landscape of education in Indonesia. Furthermore, the collaborative learning approach with a resource person has resulted in heightened student engagement, positively impacting learning outcomes and achievements. Students exhibited more significant effort, persistence, and enthusiasm while undertaking the challenge of creating batik using the splash technique. This experience has also expanded their understanding of Tegalan Batik, characterized by its unique attributes distinct from other regional styles, significantly enriching their learning experience in the Art Practice course

    Development of Digital Teaching Materials Through Canva and Book Creator for College Students of Elementary Education

    This research focuses on developing digital teaching materials using Canva and Book Creator specifically for elementary education students at the State Islamic University of Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Using a Research and Development (R&D) model, the process unfolds across five key stages: analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. During the analysis stage, it was discovered that 72% of students found traditional materials unappealing, 64% deemed them irrelevant, and 68% felt they did not promote critical thinking. In the design phase, the emphasis was placed on crafting interactive and visually engaging resources, including infographics, videos, and quizzes. As the development stage progressed, teaching resources were validated by design, content, and materials experts. In the implementation phase, 118 students participated in two sessions with pre-test and post-test assessments. The results were encouraging, showing an increase in the average score from 56.53 to 82.50 (N-Gain Score: 0.82). Notably, 82% of students reported that the digital materials were more engaging, while 76% indicated that the interactive features enhanced their comprehension. The evaluation phase revealed that these digital teaching materials significantly improved student understanding and motivation. Feedback from students and lecturers has pointed to areas for further enhancement, such as improving visual quality and integrating more interactive quizzes and instructional videos. Overall, this study underscores the effectiveness of digital teaching materials in boosting learning engagement and supporting their integration into contemporary educational practices

    Trends, opportunities, and challenges of artificial intelligence in elementary education - A systematic literature review

    This study aims to analyze the trends, opportunities, and challenges of implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in primary education based on a systematic literature review. The research method employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). Data collection techniques involved searching references from reputable journal databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, Google Scholar, IEEE Xplore, Taylor & Francis Online, and Wiley Online Library, resulting in 45 studies (2016-2024) selected based on relevance to AI in primary education. The study results indicate that (1) AI trends in primary education are dominated by Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Adaptive Learning Systems; (2) Opportunities for AI in primary education include the development of more effective and measurable AI technology innovations and their widespread application to improve student learning outcomes; and (3) Challenges in implementing AI in primary education include technological disparities, high costs, uneven infrastructure, lack of teacher training, and insufficient technological and budget support, and student data privacy. The study concludes that AI in primary education has the potential to enhance learning quality through AR, VR, LMS, and Adaptive Learning, yet still faces challenges related to technological disparities, costs, infrastructure, and teacher training. This study offers insights for policymakers and educators to strengthen teacher competence, improve infrastructure, and ensure equitable AI access in schools

    Development of a Flipbook Pantun Based on the Think Talk Write Model to Improve the Writing Skills of Fifth-Grade Elementary School Students

    This study is dedicated to enhancing the Pantun writing skills of high-grade elementary students through developing and evaluating digital teaching materials in a flipbook format. The research follows the development model outlined by Sugiyono. The product was validated by media and material experts, who provided feedback that reflected a high level of appropriateness. The media experts rated the materials at 95%, categorizing them as very feasible based on their alignment with learning objectives, design, language, and usability. The material expert assigned a score of 81%, also within the very feasible category, considering the relevance of content, language, and presentation. The feasibility test results from a small-scale trial indicated a 100% approval rate from educators and a 90.41% positive response from students. Pretest scores averaged 52.76, which rose significantly to 88.80 in the posttest, demonstrating a substantial improvement of 36.04 points. The n-gain test results were 77.42 for the small scale and 76.93 for the large scale. These findings substantiate that developing the Pantun flipbook, grounded in the think-talk-write model, is highly feasible and effective in enhancing students' writing Pantun. This innovative learning strategy not only aids in developing writing skills but also fosters critical thinking, discussion, and expressing ideas in written form

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hegemoni pemerintah dalam menciptakan politik pengetahuan tentang kehalalan suatu produk dan terbentuknya regulasi halal di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan basis data kepustakaan (library research). Teori relasi kuasa Michel Foucault penulis gunakan sebagai pisau analisis, dimana hubungan antara kekuasaan (power) dan pengetahuan (knowladge) yang saling bergerak bersama akan membentuk wajah suatu peradaban (civilization). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah melakukan kompromi dengan ulama untuk memproduksi pengetahuan yang bertujuan untuk mensukseskan Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) 2010-2014 dalam program sertifikasi halal. Keterlibatan ulama yang berasal dari unsur Kementerian Agama, akademisi perguruan tinggi Islam serta ulama dari Organisasi Masyarakat (Ormas) yang menyusun  tafsir bernama“Tafsir Ilmi Makanan dan Minuman Perspektif Sains” seolah akan menciptakan kebenaran mutlak tentang halal. Selain itu, politik pengetahuan dalam bentuk hegemoni pengetahuan tampak melalui interpretasi atas teks al-Qur’an Surah an-Naml: 60, al-Mursalat: 22, dan Surah al-Maidah; 3 mendorong masyarakat untuk memperhatikan labelisasi halal akan membentuk pengetahuan baru di masyarakat. Ditambah lagi konten penafsiran yang memberikan penjelasan secara eksplisit mengenai penting dan signifikansi sertifikasi halal dalam mengidentifikasi kehalalan produk seolah-olah akan menciptakan kebenaran tunggal bahwa halal haramnya suatu produk adalah melalui keberadaan labelisasi halal yang saat ini masif diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian Agama melalui Badan Penjaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH)
