Demographic factors as mediators between socio-psychological variables and psychological well-being in parents of children with Down syndrome
Parents of children with Down syndrome in Riau, Indonesia, encounter distinct psychological challenges, and the influence of demographic factors warrants further exploration. This study investigates the mediating role of demographics in the psychological well-being of 351 parents, employing a cross-sectional, quantitative design with purposive sampling. Standardized scales assessed psychological well-being, self-acceptance, stigma, and social support, which were analyzed using Bayesian methods. Lower self-acceptance significantly and directly correlated with poorer psychological well-being (β = −.1491, p = .0016), while higher parental education significantly predicted greater self-acceptance (β = .0119, p < .001), which in turn positively impacted well-being. Notably, older children were significantly associated with reduced social support (β = −.0101, p = .0010), and lower social support directly linked to reduced psychological well-being (β = −.1526, p = .0015). In theoretical terms, the study contributes by elucidating the indirect pathways through which demographic factors shape parental well-being within the Indonesian context. Practically, the findings underscore the need for culturally sensitive interventions focused on enhancing self-acceptance, providing accessible educational resources, and strengthening adaptive social support networks tailored to the evolving needs of parents of children with Down syndrome in Indonesia
Delivering multi-dimensional da’wah in digital space: Experience from Gita Wirjawan’s YouTube channel
The development of da'wah into the digital realm, especially through platforms such as YouTube, demands a multidimensional message, going beyond traditional ritual and legal aspects to include social, educational, economic, and cultural issues. This study aims to analyse the dimensions of the da'wah message contained in the content of Gita Wirjawan's YouTube channel, which implicitly conveys multidimensional good values. Using a qualitative approach with deductive content analysis on three selected podcast videos from 2025, this study identifies and interprets the multidimensional da'wah themes presented. The results of the analysis reveal that Gita Wirjawan's YouTube content implicitly contains multidimensional da'wah messages classified in aspects of theology, sharia, and muamalah principles, and Islamic ethics, which are discussed through dialogues with expert speakers on issues of faith, social justice, meritocracy, and human resource development. The findings have implications for the need for a strategic, interdisciplinary, and moderate digital da'wah approach, and highlight the crucial role of content creators and various elements of society in inclusively disseminating transformative Islamic values.

Perkembangan dakwah ke ranah digital, khususnya melalui platform seperti YouTube, menuntut adanya pesan yang multidimensi, melampaui aspek ritual dan hukum tradisional untuk mencakup isu sosial, pendidikan, ekonomi, dan budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dimensi-dimensi pesan dakwah yang terdapat pada konten kanal YouTube Gita Wirjawan, yang secara implisit menyampaikan nilai-nilai kebaikan secara multidimensi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis konten deduktif pada tiga video podcast terpilih dari tahun 2025, studi ini mengidentifikasi dan menginterpretasikan tema-tema dakwah multidimensional yang disajikan. Hasil analisis mengungkapkan bahwa konten YouTube Gita Wirjawan secara implisit mengandung pesan dakwah multidimensi yang terklasifikasi dalam aspek teologi, syariah dan prinsip muamalah, serta etika Islam, yang dibahas melalui dialog dengan narasumber ahli mengenai isu-isu keimanan, keadilan sosial, meritokrasi, dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia. Temuan ini berimplikasi pada perlunya pendekatan dakwah digital yang strategis, interdisipliner, dan moderat, serta menyoroti peran krusial kreator konten dan berbagai elemen masyarakat dalam menyebarluaskan nilai-nilai Islam yang transformatif secara inklusif
PROXIMATE ANALYSIS, MINERAL, AND PHYTOCHEMICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF RESIDUAL SEEDS AND PODS OF PIGMENT EXTRACTED ANNATTO (BIXA ORELLANA L.)
In natural dye extraction, plant residues are often discarded, raising environmental and sustainable practices concerns. This study therefore aimed to evaluate the nutrient, mineral, and phytochemical profiles of residual seeds and pods from Bixa orellana after pigment extraction for the purpose of waste management. Proximate analysis revealed significant differences between seeds and pods in moisture, ash, protein, crude fibre, and carbohydrate contents, while fat content showed no significant variation. The seeds contained moisture (6.32±0.10%), ash (4.10±0.29%), crude fat (4.10±0.08%), crude protein (16.31±0.04%), crude fibre (11.67±0.10%), and carbohydrates (57.48±0.50%), while the corresponding values for the pods were 9.05±0.03%, 3.40±0.21%, 4.35±0.11%, 10.52±0.04%, 41.63±0.20%, and 31.05±0.15%, respectively. Mineral analysis showed high concentrations of magnesium (12.003 mg/g) in seeds and calcium (52.011 mg/g) in pods, while chromium was absent in seeds but detected in pods (0.002 mg/g). Phytochemical analysis revealed alkaloids as the most abundant compound in both seeds (8.9±1.6 mg/g) and pods (7.2±0.4 mg/g), while flavonoids were the least (1.8±0.1 mg/g and 1.3±0.1 mg/g, respectively). ANOVA revealed significant differences (p < 0.05) in the proximate, mineral and phytochemical compositions, highlighting the nutritional and bioactive potential of both seeds and pods residues. These findings suggest that residual seeds and pods of Bixa orellana are valuable, rich in nutrients and minerals resources with potential applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries, promoting waste valorization and sustainability
PHOTOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF PHENYLAZOQUINOLIN-8-OL DYES: CORRELATION OF EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL DATA
Azo compounds are well-known as coloring agents in the textile and leather industries. Hence, continuous efforts are being made to determine the properties of these colored compounds. In this study, the solvatochromic behaviors of three phenylazoquinolin-8-ol dyes (HQ-01 to HQ-03) were investigated in solvents of varying polarities and in buffer solutions, with an emphasis on correlating experimental and theoretical data. The compounds were synthesized via diazotization and diazocoupling reactions and characterized by UV-Vis, FTIR, and 1H NMR spectroscopy. Their electronic absorption spectra were studied using UV-visible spectroscopy in solvents of different polarities and in buffer solutions. Bathochromic shifts were observed with increasing solvent polarity and basicity. The chemistry and electronic character of the solvents, along with the chemical nature and position of the substituents, were found to be responsible for the observed solvatochromic properties. Theoretical data obtained from density functional theory (DFT) calculations revealed that the dyes possessed low energy gaps, particularly HQ-02, which accounted for the experimental red shifts observed in the UV spectra. Therefore, the synthesized azo compounds may serve as promising solvatochromic probes, colorimetric chemosensors, medicinal agents, or analytical reagents
Student’s Mental Model using Four-Tier Diagnostic Test on Acid-Base
The purpose of this study was to describe the mental model of students on the acid-base material class XI phase F. The type of research used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research population consisted of students in class XI Phase F, and the research sample comprised 31 students from XI F9 at SMAN 2 Payakumbuh, using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique was conducted in two stages: the test stage and the interview stage. This test stage utilises a four-tier diagnostic test instrument, employing three levels of chemical representation. Then, the interview stage is conducted to gather data and confirm the results of the diagnostic tests that have been performed. The findings of this study detected that students have varied mental models. There are 41.1% have a mental model of synthesis-partial understanding B; 19.6% synthesis-partial understanding A; 15% initial model; 12.5% scientific model, and 11.8% synthesis-misconception. This is supported by the presentation agreement of the interview result with the diagnostic test
The Influence of Cross-Selling Marketing and Service Quality on the Decision to Use Murabahah Financing Products with Member Trust as a Moderating Variable
Purpose - This study aims to analyze the influence of cross-selling marketing and service quality on the decision to use murabahah financing products with member trust as a moderating variable at KSPPS Nusa Ummat Sejahtera KC Sudirman, Semarang City.
Method - This study used a quantitative approach, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to members using murabahah financing products at KSPPS Nusa Ummat Sejahtera KC Sudirman. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression and moderated regression analysis to test the proposed hypothesis.
Result - The results of the study indicate that cross-selling marketing and service quality have a positive and significant influence on the decision to use murabahah financing products. The results of the study using moderated regression analysis showed that cross-selling marketing had a negative and significant influence, service quality had a positive and significant influence, trust had a positive and significant influence and strengthened cross-selling marketing relationships, trust had a negative and significant influence and weakened service quality on the decision to use murabahah financing products.
Implication - This study identifies the use of murabahah financing products at KSPPS Nusa UMmat Sejahtera KC Sudirman, Semarang City.
Originality - The originality of this research lies in its specific focus, namely the Sharia Savings and Loans and Financing Cooperative (KSPPS) as the object of research and also highlights the important role of member trust as a moderating variable between cross-selling marketing, service quality and Murabahah financing decisions.

The Effectiveness of Project-Based Learning in Enhancing Social Competence Among Elementary School Students
Social skills are essential to 21st-century education, but many elementary school students in Indonesia still demonstrate low social skills due to the dominance of conventional teacher-centered learning approaches. This study aims to analyze the effect of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on improving elementary school students' social skills and identify the dimensions of social skills that are most influenced by this approach. The study used a quasi-experimental design involving 80 fifth-grade students divided into an experimental group (PjBL) and a control group (conventional learning). The measurement instrument was a social skills test covering six dimensions: cooperation, communication, conflict resolution, empathy, decision-making, and leadership. Data analysis was conducted using t-tests after validity, reliability, normality, and homogeneity were confirmed. The results showed statistically significant differences (p < 0.05) between the two groups in all social skill dimensions, with the experimental group showing higher average scores. The dimensions of empathy and leadership showed the highest increases. These findings support social constructivist theory and strengthen the argument that collaborative, contextual learning can effectively develop students' social competencies. The implications of this study include the need for systematic adoption of PjBL in elementary schools as a strategy to support character-building and holistic learning in line with national curriculum requirements and 21st-century social needs
Peran Orang Tua untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Bahasa Anak di Era Digital
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan kompetensi bahasa anak usia dini di era digital. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana keterlibatan aktif orang tua dalam aktivitas literasi digital di rumah berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berbahasa anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi, menggunakan instrumen berupa pedoman wawancara dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan orang tua, seperti mendampingi anak saat menggunakan media digital yang edukatif serta membacakan cerita digital, berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa anak, baik dari segi kosakata, struktur kalimat, maupun kelancaran berbicara. Selain itu, penggunaan teknologi yang bijak oleh orang tua, termasuk pemilihan konten digital yang sesuai usia dan interaksi verbal selama aktivitas digital, terbukti turut mendorong perkembangan kemampuan komunikasi anak secara signifikan
Exploring Virtual Reality in Pre-Hajj Training to Deepen Pilgrims' Sense of Spiritual Understanding
The Manasik Haji program was launched by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs to improve pilgrims' comprehension of Islamic-law-based Hajj rites. In response to global technological trends, institutions such as Umm Al-Qura University and the Grand Mosque of Saudi Arabia have launched virtual reality (VR) experiences that recreate the Hajj pilgrimage. This study explores how VR-based Pre-Hajj training contributes to ritual comprehension and spiritual immersion. A systematic literature study was conducted, as well as an analysis of articles from mass media that highlighted advancements in virtual Hajj practices. Findings show that, despite ongoing worries about authenticity, virtual reality (VR) holds great promise for assisting pilgrims in visualizing and internalizing ritual sequences, especially for those who have limited access to conventional training. This research contributes to the growing discourse on the intersection of technology and religion, offering new insights into how digital tools can enhance religious practice in a contemporary context
PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI TEORI JOHN BOWLBY DALAM PANDANGAN PSIKOLOGI ISLAM
Pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) merupakan fase krusial dalam perkembangan anak, terutama dalam membangun keterikatan emosional yang sehat serta membentuk karakter dan nilai-nilai moral. Teori kelekatan (attachment theory) yang dikemukakan oleh John Bowlby menekankan pentingnya hubungan emosional antara anak dan pengasuh dalam membangun rasa aman, kepercayaan diri, serta kestabilan psikologis anak. Dalam perspektif psikologi Islam, pendidikan anak usia dini tidak hanya menekankan aspek emosional, tetapi juga integrasi nilai-nilai spiritual dan akhlak melalui konsep tarbiyah (pendidikan), rahmah (kasih sayang), dan uswah hasanah (keteladanan). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis relevansi teori Bowlby dalam pendidikan anak usia dini dalam Islam dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prinsip kelekatan Bowlby selaras dengan ajaran Islam dalam mendidik anak, terutama dalam membangun rasa aman melalui pengasuhan berbasis kasih sayang dan kedekatan emosional. Selain itu, Islam memberikan dimensi tambahan berupa nilai-nilai ketuhanan yang memperkuat hubungan emosional dengan pendekatan spiritual. Dengan demikian, kombinasi teori Bowlby dan psikologi Islam menawarkan perspektif holistik dalam pendidikan anak usia dini yang menekankan keseimbangan antara perkembangan emosional, kognitif, dan spiritual anak. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan integratif ini dapat menjadi model ideal dalam praktik pengasuhan dan pendidikan anak usia dini, terutama dalam masyarakat Muslim, untuk membangun generasi yang sehat secara psikologis dan berakhlak mulia
