Penerapan Unit Penyaring Air untuk Mendukung Ekowisata Isyo Hills di Kampung Repang Muaif, Distrik Nimbokrang, Kabupaten Jayapura
Repang Muaif Village, located in Nimbokrang District, Jayapura Regency, has significant potential for ecotourism development. However, limited access to clean water remains a major challenge for the management of Isyo Hills Ecotourism. Surface water used by the community contains high levels of organic matter and sediment, resulting in murky water that affects visitor comfort. This community service project aimed to develop and implement a simple water filtration unit using gravity-based filtration techniques. The methodology included site surveys, technical training, and community-based construction of the filtration system using locally available materials. The results show significant improvement in water quality, particularly in turbidity and pH levels. The treated water became clearer, and its pH increased from 6.2 to 7.1, meeting acceptable standards for non-drinking daily use. This technology is easy to replicate and maintain, empowering local communities to sustainably manage clean water resources in support of eco-tourism activities.

Implementasi Metode Eksperimen Sederhana dalam Pengenalan Sains Kimia untuk Menstimulasi Kognisi Anak Usia Dini di Pelnap Pisga Abepura
Early childhood science education plays a vital role in shaping children\u27s cognitive structures, literacy, and numeracy. However, the general perception of chemistry as a complex discipline often acts as a barrier to its introduction at the elementary level. This community service activity aims to destigmatize this perception by introducing chemical science using simple, joyful learning experiment methods. The program was conducted at the Pentecostal Children\u27s Service (PELNAP) of GPdI PISGA, Abepura, targeting the 5-12 age group. The intervention was carried out through two main experimental modules: volcanic eruption simulation and balloon inflation via chemical gas reaction. The implementation methods included demonstration stages, guided independent experiments, and participatory observation. The results showed a significant increase in children\u27s attention and intrinsic interest in scientific phenomena. Through an inquiry-based approach, children were able to understand the basic concepts of acid-base reactions producing carbon dioxide (CO2) gas in a concrete manner. It is concluded that the integration of experiment methods based on natural materials is effective in stimulating scientific curiosity and children\u27s cognitive development, while offering an interactive science learning alternative outside the formal school environment
General elections have an important role in maintaining the dignity of people\u27s sovereignty. This has challenges that are not in realizing it in real life in Indonesia. The electoral legal system regulated in the law has an important role in this matter. One important aspect related to the resignation is based on the norm contained in Article 426 paragraph (1) letter b of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections which does not limit elected candidates to resign for any reason. This article tries to examine First, how is the reality of the legal system related to the resignation of elected legislative candidates before the Constitutional Court\u27s decision?; Second, what are the implications related to the resignation of elected legislative candidates after the Constitutional Court\u27s decision?; It cannot be denied that the existence of this electoral system is very important in how the quality of people\u27s sovereignty can exist in the existing electoral process.
Edukasi Pengenalan Tokoh-Tokoh Pahlawan Nasional Indonesia Bagi Siswa Sekolah Dasar Di Kabupaten Kepulauan Yapen
The teaching of history at the elementary school level aims to establish a strong foundation for character development and the cultivation of national identity among students. In the 2024 Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, historical content integrated into the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject focuses on the study of family history, local community history, and the introduction of exemplary local figures. However, in the Yapen Islands Regency, the implementation of history education at the elementary level faces various challenges, including limited resources, a curriculum that lacks contextual relevance to the local environment, and inadequate educational facilities. In response to these issues, the community service program team initiated an educational activity designed to introduce national heroes to elementary school students in the region. The implementation of the program was divided into three stages: preparation, execution, and evaluation. The preparation stage involved the detailed drafting of the project proposal, the development of educational materials, and the organization of supporting resources and tools. The execution stage focused on delivering content about the roles of national heroes and engaging students through educational puzzle games specifically designed to enhance interactive learning and assessment. The evaluation stage was conducted to assess the effectiveness of the activities and to compile a comprehensive final report. The results demonstrated a significant positive impact, both in enhancing students’ historical knowledge and in fostering the values of heroism and nationalism, thereby offering an engaging and enjoyable alternative approach to history education for elementary school student
MENUJU PEMILU YANG LEBIH DEMOKRATIS: REFLEKSI KRITIS ATAS KEBIJAKAN PEMISAHAN PEMILU NASIONAL DAN PEMILU DAERAH
The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia\u27s Decision Number 135/PUU-XXII/2025 marks a new milestone in election governance in Indonesia. The Court decided to end the five-ballot box simultaneous election scheme that had been implemented since 2019, by stipulating that starting in 2029, the implementation of National Elections (elections for members of the DPR, DPD, and President/Vice President) must be separated from Regional Elections (elections for members of the provincial/district/city DPRD as well as governors, regents, and mayors and their deputies). The time gap between the two elections was set at a minimum of 2 (two) years and a maximum of 2 (two) years and 6 (six) months from the inauguration of elected officials at the national level. This decision was granted following a petition by the Association for Elections and Democracy (Perludem) which challenged the constitutionality of Article 167 paragraph (3) of the Election Law and Article 3 paragraph (1) of the Regional Election Law. This study examines the fundamental implications of the electoral separation policy for the quality of Indonesian democracy through an analysis of legal documents, court decisions, and a comparative literature review. The findings indicate that electoral separation is expected to increase voter focus on local issues, reduce the technical burden on election organizers, and provide better space for political parties in candidate recruitment and outreach. However, this policy also raises significant challenges, including the risk of constitutional deadlock, increased political costs, and complexities in structuring election schedules and regional head terms. This study offers a critical evaluative framework for understanding the trade-off between efficiency and democratic substance in the context of more democratic elections
