Banana is a popular crop that can grow in almost all types of agroecosystems. Banana fruit can be used as an alternative staple food because it contains high carbohydrates, so it can replace some of the consumption of rice and wheat. For the Sentani people, the banana plant has an important cultural value. Apart from being consumed and sold in the market, local bananas are often used as a means of payment for dowries. The people of Yahim Village in Sentani District recognize five local banana varieties, namely: Kheja, Hoyombi, Ratake, Ramaohulu, Habili, Ebulu, Molonsi, and Ramehaye. The objectives of this service activity are: to introduce local banana-based processed food products that have high selling value to the people of Yahim Village and to train mothers and young women to process various types of processed food products made from local Sentani bananas in Yahim Village, Sentani District. The service method used in this training consists of three stages, namely preparation, consultation, short practice, mentoring and evaluation. The results and achievements of this service activity are that the women in Yahim village can produce banana doughnuts, banana sticks and banana chips. Then they can package these products in creative and innovative packaging. The results of the activity evaluation showed that 85% of the participants could understand and absorb the training materials, 90% of the participants were skilled in processing local Sentani bananas, and 90% of the participants stated that this service activity was very useful.

Children\u27s ability to read, write and count (calistung) can be said to be very important in life, because the teaching and learning process or activity is based on reading ability. To support learning and to know the growth and development of children, teachers and parents should know the right method or way to teach children to read, write and count. One method or way to develop it is through educational game tools (APE). First grade students at SD Inpres Kehiran have quite low learning abilities. This can be seen from almost 60% of students still having difficulty reading, writing and counting and is indicated by the scores obtained which are still below the Minimum Completion Criteria that have been set. To help teachers and students at SD Inpres Kehiran in understanding reading, writing and counting, our Community Service Team (PKM) aims to introduce the use of simple educational game tools (APE) made from used materials, namely through letter cards, drink bottle caps, and objects around the school or around the student\u27s residential environment. By using learning media through educational game tools, the effectiveness of the learning method is evaluated and the level of student participation is measured. The stages carried out in the implementation of this community service activity start from planning, namely by coordinating with the school and asking permission from the leader (Dean), then the implementation stage starts from preparing materials, tools and materials, training and mentoring and finally the reporting stage, namely making a final report and making publications. The methods used to support the success of this program are in the form of training, demonstrations and practice questions. The implementation of this Community Service has not fully achieved the expected targets and outputs, but this activity has made a positive contribution to students in terms of recognizing letters, spelling, reading and simple arithmetic.

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the learning outcomes of high school students in Pascal\u27s Law material. The background of this research is the low level of students\u27 understanding of Pascal\u27s Law, which is often taught theoretically, so it is less contextual and can be applied. This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods and Pretest-Posttest Design of Control Groups. The research subjects were 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sei Bamban for the 2024/2025 academic year, with a total sample of 60 students, consisting of 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class, selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of a multiple-choice learning outcome test with 20 validated items and an observation sheet of student activities. The results showed that the average pretest scores of the two classes were relatively equivalent (experimental = 45.33; control = 45.17) with a significance value of 0.960 (>0.05), indicating no significant difference in initial ability. After treatment, the average post-experimental class score increased to 78.67, while the control class only reached 66.33. The t-test reveals a significant difference between the two classes (Sig. <0.05). Student activity in the experimental class was also recorded high, with an average of 79.97% in the active category. It can be concluded that the application of the Project-Based Learning model has a significant influence on improving student learning outcomes in Pascal\u27s Law compared to conventional learning. These findings reinforce previous literature on the effectiveness of PjBL as an innovative learning strategy that is able to connect abstract concepts with students\u27 real-life experiences

To address the persistently high malaria cases, the Indonesian government has set a target of malaria elimination by 2030. One strategy implemented by the central government is to encourage the commitment of local governments, especially in highly endemic areas, in malaria control. Research that can support the government\u27s strategy to achieve the malaria elimination target needs to be continuously conducted and developed. One study that is highly relevant to the government\u27s malaria elimination program is mapping or zoning malaria vulnerability levels. Jayapura City itself is the second-highest area for malaria cases in Papua. According to a report from the Jayapura City Health Office, there were 28,648 malaria cases in Jayapura City in 2019 with an API of 92.55 per 1,000 residents. In 2020, there were 28,075 cases with an API of 89.35 per 1,000 residents. In 2021, there were 30,235 cases with an API of 99.49 per 1,000 residents. This condition also makes Jayapura City highly vulnerable to malaria. Therefore, mapping malaria vulnerability in Jayapura City is crucial. One technology that can be used to map malaria vulnerability is a Geographic Information System (GIS). The GIS used in this study was combined with specific methods. The method used in this study was Spatial Multi-Criteria Analysis (SMCA). The parameters used in this study were geology, NDVI, and land cover. Each parameter has its own weight and score. The results showed that the overall Jayapura City area has a high vulnerability class in the Slightly Vulnerable class. The Slightly Vulnerable class is most common in Muara Tami District, while the Not Vulnerable class is most common in North Jayapura District. Data on the distribution of malaria from 2021 to 2024 shows that Muara Tami District has the highest number of malaria cases. On average, the pattern of malaria distribution shows that the southern to eastern areas have a higher prevalence of the disease compared to the northern areas of Jayapura City. The results of the malaria vulnerability mapping model, case data, and the average distribution pattern of malaria cases indicate that the modeled data aligns with the actual data and case distribution pattern. This model still needs to be developed, particularly by adding parameters appropriate to the study area

Repang Muaif Village, located in Nimbokrang District, Jayapura Regency, has significant potential for ecotourism development. However, limited access to clean water remains a major challenge for the management of Isyo Hills Ecotourism. Surface water used by the community contains high levels of organic matter and sediment, resulting in murky water that affects visitor comfort. This community service project aimed to develop and implement a simple water filtration unit using gravity-based filtration techniques. The methodology included site surveys, technical training, and community-based construction of the filtration system using locally available materials. The results show significant improvement in water quality, particularly in turbidity and pH levels. The treated water became clearer, and its pH increased from 6.2 to 7.1, meeting acceptable standards for non-drinking daily use. This technology is easy to replicate and maintain, empowering local communities to sustainably manage clean water resources in support of eco-tourism activities.

Early childhood science education plays a vital role in shaping children\u27s cognitive structures, literacy, and numeracy. However, the general perception of chemistry as a complex discipline often acts as a barrier to its introduction at the elementary level. This community service activity aims to destigmatize this perception by introducing chemical science using simple, joyful learning experiment methods. The program was conducted at the Pentecostal Children\u27s Service (PELNAP) of GPdI PISGA, Abepura, targeting the 5-12 age group. The intervention was carried out through two main experimental modules: volcanic eruption simulation and balloon inflation via chemical gas reaction. The implementation methods included demonstration stages, guided independent experiments, and participatory observation. The results showed a significant increase in children\u27s attention and intrinsic interest in scientific phenomena. Through an inquiry-based approach, children were able to understand the basic concepts of acid-base reactions producing carbon dioxide (CO2) gas in a concrete manner. It is concluded that the integration of experiment methods based on natural materials is effective in stimulating scientific curiosity and children\u27s cognitive development, while offering an interactive science learning alternative outside the formal school environment
