Pemanfaatan Media Sederhana dalam Pembelajaran Fisika untuk Materi Udara bagi Kelompok Anak di Sentani
Physics is often perceived as one of the most difficult subjects, leading to a lack of interest, particularly among students. This issue is exacerbated by the reliance on rote memorization of formulas and definitions, rather than a deep understanding of the concepts. Such an approach hinders students\u27 ability to think critically and creatively, which is essential for problem-solving in real-world applications. This community service program aimed to address these challenges by providing primary school children in Sentani, Jayapura, with engaging, hands-on experiments to better understand basic physical concepts, specifically the properties of air. The activities included simple experiments such as "Jar and Handkerchief", "Straw in a Glass", and "Paper Helicopter," which illustrated concepts like air occupying space, the behavior of liquids in a straw, and the effects of air on objects. The program aimed to create an interactive and enjoyable learning environment, where children could explore physics without the pressure of memorization. The results showed significant improvements in the children\u27s engagement and understanding, with most participants expressing interest in continuing to learn physics. The study concludes that such interactive, experimental learning methods are effective in enhancing students\u27 interest in science and improving their critical thinking skills, and recommends expanding these activities to reach a wider audience in the future.
Conflict Transformation in Papua: Challenges and Opportunities for Top-down Special Autonomy Policy
Challenges to bring perpetual peace in Papua remain prevalent. These challenges include overcoming social and economic inequality and incompatibility, reducing the level and intensity of destructive behaviors and actions, and strengthening shared institutions to manage potential and actual violent conflicts. The Special Autonomy Law for Papua in 2001 and 2021 are of great opportunities for having the challenges non-violently managed. These legal instruments are both theoretically and normatively perceived to be effective and fruitful mechanisms in order to transform the conflict and bring peace and development to Papua. With that in mind, the article aims to present the benefits and challenges of special autonomy law implementation in Papua. By mainly relying on secondary data, this research argues that the Special Autonomy Law for Papua and the formation of New Autonomous Regions have positive impacts on social and economic development and offer more opportunities for Papuans to be involved in policy-making processes. However, at the same time, these efforts have produced insignificant results in ending violent conflict in Papua.

PERPETUAL PEACE DI KAWASAN INDO-PASIFIK: Penerapan Collective Security, Arms Control, dan Confidence Building Measures di Kawasan
The ongoing strategic competition between China and the United States raises concerns about potential conflicts in the Indo-Pacific. However, achieving long-term stability in the region through cooperative security frameworks is essential. The realization of a peaceful region that fosters mutually beneficial cooperation is a non-negotiable goal in positive international relations. This article explores the possibility of achieving this in the Indo-Pacific from an International Relations perspective, particularly through the concepts of collective security, arms control, and confidence-building measures (CBMs). It argues that implementing these three concepts will lead to sustainable peace (perpetual peace), ultimately making the region a platform for mutually beneficial cooperation. A qualitative method is employed in this study, with data emanating from relevant literature and authoritative sources. While challenges such as military competition and geopolitical tensions persist, shared commitment to multilateral mechanisms can mitigate risks. The key factor in achieving this goal is a shared commitment to maintaining the process.

This research is to determine the effect of IMB levies on local revenue in Keerom Regency in terms of Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2015. The method used is a normative juridical approach, namely research on legal principles and legal synchronization used to obtain secondary data and a juridical approach. Empirical research is research that looks at the realities that exist in society in order to obtain primary data. The results of the study reveal that Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2015 concerning Retribution for Building Permits in Keerom Regency has not been able to contribute significantly to PAD because the realization of IMB receipts in Keerom Regency has not been as expected. In terms of quantity, every year the realization of IMB retribution revenue increases and in the last two years it has reached the set target. However, in terms of quality, many buildings were erected but no levy was collected because they did not have an IMB. The acceptance of IMB retribution in Keerom Regency has not been maximized because the Keerom Regency government does not yet have a Regional Regulation on IMB
Implementasi Kebijakan Pemilihan Kepala Pemerintahan Kampung serentak di Kota Jayapura
This study aims to analyze the implementation of the simultaneous village head election policy in Jayapura City and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its implementation. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach to examine policy implementation dynamics at the local level. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving government officials, election committees, community leaders, and village communities who were directly involved in the election process. The analysis uses the policy implementation framework of Edwards III, which emphasizes communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure, combined with Grindle’s approach that highlights policy content and the context of implementation. The findings show that the implementation of the simultaneous village head election policy in Jayapura City has generally been carried out in accordance with existing regulations. The policy implementation is supported by clear regulatory frameworks, strong commitment from the local government, active community participation, and the involvement of customary leaders in maintaining social stability. Effective communication between local government institutions and village-level actors has also improved understanding of election procedures and policy objectives. However, several challenges still influence the effectiveness of policy implementation, including limited administrative capacity of election organizers at the village level, coordination issues among implementing institutions, and the influence of local political dynamics during the election process. Moreover, the strong role of traditional social structures in Papuan communities sometimes requires adjustments between formal democratic procedures and local cultural values. Therefore, strengthening institutional capacity, improving coordination among stakeholders, and integrating local cultural values into governance practices are essential to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the simultaneous village head election policy in Jayapura City
