Cultural Resonance: Enhancing Heritage Identity of Spaces with Digital Engagement
Heritage buildings serve as vital markers of cultural identity, historical continuity, and collective memory within the urban landscape. Yet in the context of accelerating urban development, many of these sites suffer from declining relevance, physical neglect, and weakening emotional connections with contemporary communities. This study explores the potential of digital placemaking as an innovative approach to revitalize the cultural significance and public engagement of heritage buildings. By integrating digital technologies with architectural space, digital placemaking reimagines these structures as interactive, inclusive, and emotionally resonant environments that bridge past and present. Employing a qualitative research methodology, this study draws from literature reviews, site analysis, community narratives, and design conceptualization to formulate a framework that supports the transformation of underutilized heritage sites into dynamic public spaces. The research highlights the importance of memory, identity, and cultural resonance as central components of revitalization efforts, proposing a layered approach that merges physical preservation with meaningful digital engagement. The outcomes of this study offer both theoretical and practical contributions to the fields of architectural design and heritage conservation, emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary, adaptive, and community-sensitive methods. This approach ensures that heritage buildings remain relevant, accessible, and culturally valuable in contemporary urban life
Analytical Solution in the (I-V) Characteristic Curves Calculation of the Corona Plasma Discharge Using the Capacitance Model
This research aims to calculate thoroughness among data points and analytical simulation curves in discussing corona discharges' (I-V) characteristics. The electrode construction used is the twin towers with dividing angles to the plane (TTDA-P) model in air, with negative DC polarity. An asymmetrical electrical CCP model in the electrode design uses research variations, including active electrode center clamp angles of q = 300, 450, and 600 and active and passive electrode distances (d) of 0.002 m, 0.005 m, and 0.008 m. The simulation curve comes from the analytical formulation of the reduced capacitance type (inserting a multiplying factor k to the sharp corners of the active electrode), with the simulation program being a Python GUI program. The experimental results produced an appropriate error value (t-test value £0.05) and a high percentage of tangent points value. The best curve was achieved at q = 450 and d = 0.008 m, with a t-test value of 0.0313 and the highest percentage of significant tangent points of 92.31%. For all variations q, there is a tendency that the smaller the value of d (the gap length among two electrodes), the greater the deviation distance between the simulation curve and the data points
Asset Seizure Regulations Against Public Officials with Unexplained Wealth (A Comparative Study of the Philippines and Australia)
The Draft Law on Asset Seizure, which includes the concepts of unexplained wealth and non-conviction based (NCB), is a regulation that urgently needs to be passed in Indonesia. This is due to the increasing losses suffered by the state as a result of corruption involving public officials. This legal instrument will strengthen the state's efforts to execute assets derived from corruption without having to wait for a final and binding court decision. Several countries have successfully implemented this concept, including Singapore and the Philippines, in order to accelerate the process of confiscating the assets of corruptors. This study aims to examine the regulations on asset reporting by public officials in uncovering unexplained wealth and to review the regulations on asset confiscation from officials based on unexplained wealth in Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines. The method used is a normative approach with comparative legal analysis. The results of the study show that Australia, through the Unexplained Wealth Order (UWO), and the Philippines, through Republic Act No. 1379, have regulated the mechanism for seizing assets without waiting for the completion of criminal proceedings. This proves that the NCB approach is effective in combating illegal wealth. The conclusion of this study is that Indonesia needs to immediately pass the Asset Seizure Bill by applying the concepts of unexplained wealth and NCB as in Singapore and the Philippines so that corruption enforcement is more optimal and in line with international practices. The Draft Law on Asset Seizure, which includes the concepts of unexplained wealth and non-conviction based (NCB), is a regulation that urgently needs to be passed in Indonesia. Efektifitas Pengunaan Batu Gamping Sebagai Campuran Agregat Halus pada Base A
Enggano Island is one of the areas in Bengkulu Province, located directly on the border with the Indian Ocean, making Enggano Island one of the outermost small islands in Indonesia. This island is one of the geographical areas where the soil contains lime, where limestone or what is often known as limestone is a non-metallic industrial mineral which has benefits as a raw material for cement, aggregate and asphalt. Considering that this island is a small island, it is very difficult to find mountain stone or river stone for Base A aggregate needs, because limestone is abundant on this island, this has encouraged researchers to conduct research on limestone as an additional material for fine aggregate in Base A. Research This aims to determine the CBR value after using limestone at 0%, 10%, 20% and 30%. CBR testing is carried out using the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test method using a CBR penetration tool. The results of this research show that base A aggregate mixed with 0% limestone produces a CBR value of 94.84%, mixing 10% produces a CBR value of 95.34%. The addition of 20% produces a CBR value of 95.96%, and mixing 30% produces a CBR value of 96.62%. These results indicate that the addition of a limestone mixture as fine aggregate in base A can be used because the CBR value is greater than 90% and with the composition determined in this researc
