The Effect of Vitamin D Supplementation on Changes in TNF- Levels and Exciting Frequency in Epilepsy Patients
Background: Epilepsy, a neurological disorder, is a global public health problem. The active form of vitamin-D is 5000IU/day for 42 days, able to push inflammation and change the balance between inhibitory cytokine and excitatory cytokine, to suppress recurrent seizuresObjective: Analyze the effect of vitamin-D 5000 supplementations on changes in TNF-α levels pre-and-post-vitamin-D supplementation and changes in the frequency of seizures pre-and post-vitamin-D supplementation in epilepsy patients.Methods: This research is a quasi-experimental analytic observational study with a pre-and-post-tests approach without control. Subjects were patients diagnosed with epilepsy who had met the inclusion criteria. Previous research subjects were checked for TNF-α levels, then given vitamin-D supplementation of 5000IU/day for 42 days, then rechecked TNF-α levels. Then performed a bivariate analysis.Results: There was a significant difference between changes in TNF-α pre-and-post-levels of vitamin-D supplementation of 5000IU/day for 42 days (p<0.001). There was a significant difference in the frequency of seizures pre-and-post-levels of vitamin D supplementation 5000IU/day for 42 days (p=0.002). There is a significant relationship between (d)TNF-α on (d)the frequency of seizures pre-and-post-vitamin-D supplementation 5000IU/day, strongly and positively related (p<0.001; r=0.661). There is no relationship between risk factors with (d)TNF-α. There is no relationship between risk factors with (d)seizure frequency.Conclusion: There is a significant difference in the levels of TNF-α pre-and-post-vitamin-D supplementation. There is a significant difference between the frequency of seizures pre-and-post-vitamin-D supplementation. There is a relationship between (d)TNF-α and (d)the frequency of seizures pre-and-post-vitamin-D supplementation
HPPCv: a Modification of HPPC Scheme with Vinegar Variables
The Hidden Product of Polynomial Composition (HPPC) Digital Signature is multivariate-based cryptography using an HFE trapdoor. The HPPC scheme provides the technique for choosing the HFE central map. Its technique utilizes the product of the composition of two linearized polynomials. In this research, we proposed the modification of the HPPC scheme. We modify the HPPC scheme such that the scheme is based on HFEv. The linearized polynomial with vinegar variables will be chosen for constructing the central map. In our modification version, the public key becomes a system of polynomials of degree 4 and a map from n+v to n-dimension vector space. For a final remark, Despite an increase in the polynomial degree, HPPCv maintains a computational cost similar to HPPC
The Effect of a Mixture of Amylase and Cellulase Enzymes at Four Concentrations on Biogas Production from Rice Husk Waste under Liquid Anaerobic Digestion (L-AD) Conditions
Cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin are some of the components found in rice husks, where cellulose plays an important role as a substrate for biogas fermentation. This study aims to determine the optimum concentration of amylase-cellulase enzyme mixture added to rice husks using the liquid anaerobic digestion (L-AD) method. Rice husks from the Rowosari area were chemically pretreated by soaking in 6% NaOH for 24 hours (control), then given biological pretreatment with varying enzyme concentrations of 9%, 12%, 15%, and 18%. The digestion process was carried out in batches using a 200 mL bioreactor, and the biogas volume was monitored every two days for 60 days. The total biogas yields at enzyme concentrations of 9%, 12%, 15%, and 18% were 5; 10; 11; and 13 mL/grTS, respectively, while the control reactor produced 9 mL/grTS. The highest production was achieved at an enzyme concentration of 18% with a maximum potential (A) of 13 mL/grTS, a production rate (U) of 1 mL/grTS·day, and a minimum biogas formation time (λ) of 1 day
Application of a Vertically Layered Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC) System in an Evapotranspiration Reactor for COD and BOD Treatment in Leachate Using Sente Plants (Alocasia macrorrhiza)
Leachate is liquid waste with high organic content, including COD and BOD. This study applied a system combining Giant Taro plants (Alocasia macrorrhiza) and Microbial Fuel Cells (MFC) to treat leachate while producing electricity. The reactor was operated with continuous flow of 10 liters/day for 15 days, with COD, BOD, and electricity measured periodically. COD was analyzed using closed reflux spectrophotometry, BOD with a DO meter, and electricity with a multimeter. Results showed COD removal efficiency reached 62.1% on day 3, decreased to 44% and 17.2% on days 6 and 9, then increased to 35.67% on day 12. BOD removal followed a similar trend, with 88.7% on day 3, declining to 84.8% and 78.7%, then rising to 83.3% on day 12. Maximum electricity generation was 1.65 W on day 14. Performance was influenced by plant roots, microbial activity, and reactor conditions

National Chi Nan University (NCNU) integrates local engagement with global perspectives, advancing University Social Responsibility (USR) initiatives to support regional development. A key example is NCNU’s role in Hehuan Mountain Dark-Sky Park, Taiwan’s first internationally certified dark-sky park, promoting sustainable tourism and environmental conservation. Taiwan’s tourism industry struggles to balance economic growth with sustainability. In Qingjing, short-stay tourism strains local resources. NCNU collaborated with governments and astronomy associations to develop dark-sky tourism (DST) as a solution to extend visitor stays while preserving ecology. NCNU helped draft the Hehuan Mountain Dark-Sky Park Management Ordinance, aligning lighting regulations with International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) standards. The university fostered cooperation among government agencies, businesses, and astronomy experts to balance conservation with economic benefits. DST integration into hospitality services encouraged eco-friendly tourism, while star-guiding programs built local expertise. Beyond dark-sky governance, NCNU supports regional revitalization in healthcare, Indigenous tourism, and AI-driven smart agriculture. By training professionals and fostering sustainable industries, NCNU strengthens economic resilience, positioning Hehuan Mountain as a global research hub for light pollution studies
Sintesis dan Karakterisasi CuO sebagai Fotokatalis untuk Degradasi Methylene Blue dan Methyl Orange
Pencemaran air yang disebabkan oleh limbah pewarna sintetis methylene blue (MB) dan methyl orange (MO) menimbulkan masalah lingkungan yang serius karena toksisitas dan tak dapat terurai di alam. CuO adalah salah satu material yang bisa untuk menangani masalah limbah tersebut karena sifat adsorbsi dan fotokatalitiknya . Tujuan penelitian mensintesis CuO dengan metode presipitasi untuk mendegradasi zat warna MB dan MO. Metode penelitian sebanyak 6,237 gram CuSO₄·5H₂O dilarutkan dalam 100 mL kemudian dipanaskan pada suhu 55°C hingga homogen. Selanjutnya ditambahkan NaOH sampai mencapai pH 9 dan dikalsinasi pada suhu 700°C. Produk dianalisis dengan FTIR dan XRD kemudian diaplikasikan untuk uji fotokatalitiknya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, tembaga(II) oksida (CuO) berhasil disintesis melalui metode presipitasi dan dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD serta FTIR yang menunjukkan fase kristal monoklinik dengan ikatan Cu-O khas. Uji kinerja menunjukkan bahwa CuO memiliki aktivitas adsorptif maupun fotokatalitik terhadap zat warna sintesis methylene blue (MB) mencapai efisiensi hingga 66,5% dalam 5 menit pertama dan methyl orange (MO) terjadi dengan cepat pada awal reaksi (±32%) . Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa CuO berpotensi sebagai material fotokatalis dan adsorben yang murah, sederhana dan ramah lingkungan untuk pengolahan limbah zat warna.
Digitalisasi Posyandu dan Pemanfaatan Hasil KWT Sebagai Strategi Peningkatan Layanan Kesehatan Balita di Kampung Gabahan
Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kualitas layanan kesehatan bagi ibu dan balita di Kampung Gabahan, Kelurahan Jombor, melalui pendekatan integratif antara digitalisasi Posyandu dan pemanfaatan hasil Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT). Di era digital, Posyandu perlu bertransformasi agar mampu memberikan layanan yang lebih efisien dan mudah diakses oleh masyarakat. Sementara itu, hasil pertanian dan perikanan dari KWT memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung pemenuhan gizi keluarga, terutama bagi kelompok rentan seperti ibu hamil, menyusui, dan anak-anak. Kegiatan tersebut meliputi pelatihan kader Posyandu dalam penggunaan teknologi digital untuk layanan pencatatan, edukasi pemanfaatan produk KWT sebagai sumber gizi sehat, serta penguatan peran aktif masyarakat dalam mendukung program kemiskinan. Implementasi program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan kader dalam memanfaatkan perangkat digital dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai konsumsi pangan lokal yang bergizi. Diharapkan program ini menjadi langkah awal menuju sistem layanan kesehatan masyarakat yang lebih terintegrasi dan berkelanjutan, berbasis potensi lokal.Kata Kunci: Digitalisasi Posyandu, Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak, Kelompok Wanita Tani, Gizi Keluarg
Edisi Teks Naskah Kitab Carita Raja Bermanakusumah Disertai Analisis Struktur Robert Stanton
Naskah Kitab Carita Raja Bermanakusumah merupakan naskah tunggal berbahasa Sunda yang berbentuk prosa. Naskah ini mengisahkan tentang perjuangan Raja Muliyasasih dalam mendidik Raden Bermanakusumah yang memiliki dosa berzina dengan keempat istri Patih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan edisi teks naskah dan nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam naskah Kitab Carita Raja Bermanakusumah dengan menggunakan pendekatan filologi dan struktur cerita fiksi Robert Stanton. Metode yang digunakan terbagi menjadi tiga tahap, yakni metode pengumpulan data, metode analisis datam dan metode penyajian hasil analisis data. Peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data secara studi pustaka. Pada tahap analisis data, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan filologi untuk menyajikan hasil deskripsi dan suntingan, serta teori struktur cerita fiksi Robert Stanton untuk menyajikan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terkandung di dalam naskah. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan ada 3 kesalahan pada teks, yakni parakusti, omisi, dan subtitusi. Kemudian struktur pembangun cerita dalam teks KCRB yang saling berkaitan membentuk tipe fiksi didaktis yang memberikan banyak nilai-nilai pembelajara
Representasi Karakter Tokoh Dewi Susilawati Dalam Serat Salokantara Karya KGPAA IV: Suntingan Teks Disertai Kajian Semiotika Riffaterre
Serat Salokantara merupakan salah satu karya sastra Jawa yang mengandung simbol serta representasi makna mendalam. Teks ini mengisahkan Prabu Darmapati dengan dua putrinya, Dewi Susilawati dan Darmawati. Tokoh Dewi Susilawati lebih ditekankan, sebab selain menjadi calon pewaris takhta, ia juga memiliki peran penting dalam alur cerita. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap representasi tokoh Dewi Susilawati melalui pembacaan heuristik dan hermeneutik dengan menerapkan pendekatan filologi dan semiotika Riffaterre. Metode penelitian meliputi tahap pengumpulan data, analisis, dan penyajian hasil. Hasil penyuntingan menunjukkan adanya delapan bentuk kesalahan naskah, meliputi satu kesalahan ditografi, enam substitusi, dan satu omisi, yang kemudian disunting sesuai kaidah filologi. Melalui analisis semiotik yang mencakup empat aspek utama Riffaterre, yaitu hipogram aktual, hipogram potensial, matriks, dan model, ditemukan bahwa Serat Salokantara memuat nilai religius, moral, serta gender. Representasi Dewi Susilawati menegaskan peran perempuan sebagai subjek yang memiliki otonomi dalam menentukan pilihan hidup berdasarkan tanggung jawab dan kepribadian, bukan semata kedudukan sosial ataupun materi.
IMPACT OF TAX MORALS AND TAX CULTURE ON TAXPAYER COMPLIANCE WITH TAX INCLUSION AS MODERATION
This study aims to determine the effect of tax morale and tax culture on taxpayer compliance with tax inclusion as a moderating variable. The dependent variable in this study is taxpayer compliance and the independent variables in this study are tax morale and tax culture, and there is a moderating variable in this study is tax inclusion. This research uses quantitative methods. Data collected by questionnaire technique through google form. Respondents in this study were students at Semarang universities, with a sample size of 100 people. The sampling method used in this study was purposive sampling. Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression and moderation regression analysis with the help of IBM SPSS Statistic 26. The results stated that there was no direct effect of tax morale on taxpayer compliance, and tax culture had an influence on taxpayer compliance. The results also state that tax inclusion as a moderating variable is not able to moderate the independent variable on the dependent variable
