Multivariate Exploration of Food Security in the Sulampua Region Identification of Clusters and Dominant Dimensions of Food Security
Food security is a strategic issue closely related to economic development, community welfare, and the achievement of sustainable development goals. The Food Security Index (FSI) is an important instrument for measuring food security conditions at the provincial and district/city levels. However, FSI performance in Indonesia still shows regional disparities, particularly in Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua (Sulampua), which tend to have low scores. This study aims to explore patterns of food security and vulnerability in Sulampua through multivariate analysis and regional clustering using K-Means and K-Medoids (PAM) methods. The analysis begins with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to reduce the dimensionality of FSI indicators and identify dominant factors contributing to data variation. The PCA results show that the first three components explain more than 77% of the variance, with dominant factors including poverty, food expenditure, basic infrastructure access, as well as health and nutrition indicators. The clustering analysis produces two main groups: cluster 1, which includes the majority of districts/cities in Sulawesi and Maluku with relatively better food security, and cluster 2, consisting of 16 districts/cities in Papua with significant food insecurity. Cluster validity evaluation indicates that the K-Medoids method performs better than K-Means, being more robust to outliers and producing more consistent cluster separation. This study contributes to the literature by providing multivariate visual exploration and regional classification based on FSI indicators, which can serve as a basis for formulating more targeted food security policies in the Sulampua region

Participatory Flood Risk Mapping Using the Geographic Information System (DIG-GIS) Integration in Beru-Beru Village, Mamuju Regency
Recurring floods in Beru-Beru Village, West Sulawesi, devastate 200 hectares annually, resulting in economic losses of Rp 2 billion. This study presents a participatory approach that combines Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with Disaster Imagination Games (DIG) to transform community-based flood risk assessment. Utilizing structured stakeholder engagement with 40 people, we employed the risk formula R = (H × V × (1-C))¹/² on 1,401.2 hectares, uncovering significant regional variation. 15.4% of high-risk areas are centered in the Kampung Baru and Kampung Rea hamlets, whilst 30.1% of the region exhibited very low adaptive capacity. The incorporation of DIG-GIS facilitated unparalleled community engagement, converting passive risk recipients into proactive risk evaluators, hence allowing for real-time verification of technical studies through the amalgamation of local expertise. This methodology, in contrast to traditional top-down approaches, attained 89% stakeholder consensus in risk prioritization and enhanced hazard awareness by 340% relative to the first survey. This framework's primary novelty is the democratization of scientific risk assessment, coupled with technical rigor, resulting in spatially explicit risk maps that are comprehensible and trusted by the community. Research findings demonstrate that participatory GIS, when integrated with serious games, can effectively connect expert knowledge with community perceptions, fundamentally shifting catastrophe planning from a reactive to a proactive framework. This methodological advancement provides a quantifiable option for flood-prone developing areas where community endorsement is crucial for the efficacy of interventions
Pemetaan Sebaran Tingkat Bahaya Dan Laju Erosi Di DAS Brantas Tahun 2025 Menggunakan Metode RUSLE ( REVISED UNIVERSAL SOIL LOSS EQUATION)
Heat Integration Analysis of the Pre-Design Stage of an Ethyl Acetate Production Process using Pinch Technology
Industrial heat exchanger networks often exhibit suboptimal energy utilization because of limited heat integration between process streams. This study aims to optimize a heat exchanger network (HEN) through the application of pinch analysis based on the initial process flowsheet. Hot and cold stream data, including inlet temperature, outlet temperature, and heat load, were first analyzed using Microsoft Excel and subsequently processed using the Heat Integration Network Tool (HINT). Pinch analysis was conducted by constructing composite curves to identify the pinch point, which represents the thermodynamic constraints of the system. Based on the analysis results, a redesigned heat exchanger network was developed in accordance with pinch principles, namely, the elimination of heat transfer across the pinch and the enhancement of internal heat recovery. The results demonstrate that the application of pinch analysis leads to a more efficient heat exchanger network configuration and reduces the reliance on external heating and cooling utilities compared with the initial system
Teamwork Competence among Health Students in the Implementation of Interprofessional Education (IPE)
Introduction: Interprofessional education (IPE) facilitates the development of interprofessional competencies, such as communication and teamwork. However, challenges in developing teamwork competencies can affect the enhancement of other competencies, such as communication and vision of a team. Additionally, teamwork is also affected by the previous learning process in silo professional. However, there are limited studies report the differences of teamwork among health students in different subjects. This study aims to identify the teamwork competence among health students in the IPE program. Methods: We used a descriptive research approach. We involved 470 students of semester 6th from various disciplines (medicine, nursing, and nutrition) as participants (total sampling), and a total of 431 students participated in the study (response rate: 92%). They were asked to complete the teamwork scale (TWS) online. Descriptive frequencies were used to analyze the data by identifying means and standard deviation (SD). Additionally, differences in teamwork scores among students from different subjects were analyzed by applying Kruskal-Wallis test since the data had abnormal distribution. Result: Nutrition students have lower scores compared to their peers in medicine and nursing in all subscales. There were differences in teamwork competencies among health students in different subjects in all subscales (team structure, leadership, situational monitoring, mutual support, and communication) with p-values 0.000; 0.000; 0.005; 0.000; 0.000, respectively. Discussion/Suggestions: The teamwork competence in all subscales was varied and it was different among students based on their subjects. It is suggested to identify students’ teamwork in other institutions and different settings, such as clinical settings, and to identify the nature of differences in achieving teamwork competence to support a deeper understanding of its achievement
