Validity of Science Teaching Module Integrated with “Engklek” Games to Improve Critical Thinking Skills
Get PDFThe independent curriculum teaching module is a systematically arranged learning equipment, containing the components of the teaching module and the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. The purpose of this study was to test the feasibility of the science teaching module of the critical reasoning dimension with the project-based learning (PjBL) model through differentiated learning integrated with the Engklek game. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach and the module tested for feasibility has been prepared using the 4D (four D) research and development model. The feasibility test consists of validity testing by learning expert lecturers, media expert lecturers, practicality by science educators, and readability by class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Ungaran. The results of the study showed that the average validity of the teaching module was 91%, which means it is in a very valid category and the reliability of the validation instrument was 95% based on Percentage of Agreement, which means it is in a very good category. Thus, the science teaching module of Critical Reasoning Dimension through Differentiated Learning Integrated with Engklek Game which focuses on the material of Work, Energy, and Simple Machinery is feasible to be implemented
Family support and breastfeeding satisfaction in adolescent mothers
Get PDFThe mother's behavior in giving breast milk, which can affect breastfeeding satisfaction, is one of the achievements of the mother's role. Breastfeeding satisfaction is a key factor in the success of exclusive breastfeeding programs, where family support is an important factor that can influence breastfeeding satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and breastfeeding satisfaction in adolescent mothers. In this study, the method used was a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The sample set was 61 people with inclusion criteria. A questionnaire based on the Maternal Breastfeeding Evaluation Scale (MBFES) and a questionnaire based on Family Support were used to collect data. The bivariate analysis technique with chi-square. The results of this study showed a p-value 0,000 that there is a relationship between family support and breastfeeding satisfaction in adolescent mothers. Breastfeeding satisfaction is influenced by family support because most adolescent mothers consult with their parents and husbands before deciding to breastfeed their children

The final results of this research will be described descriptively in the form of words, phrases, sentences and paragraphs. Theory of Hierarchy of Needs by Abraham Maslow can be seen in the novel American Royals by Katharine McGee, there are many needs experience by physiological needs, safety needs, love needs, self-esteem and self-actualization. The result of this research is the physiological need that Beatrice needs is the fulfillment of the love needs. When the emotional of physiological needs are not contented it will be trigger negative mental issues and cause the impact on the individual. Furthermore, it not only damaging the mental health, but it can also affect someone’s physical health.

Keluhan-keluhan yang umum biasanya akan hilang sendiri, namun ada beberapa keadaan tertentu yang perlu ibu hamil waspadai. Keadaan tersebut harus diketahui oleh ibu hamil sebagai tanda bahaya pada masa kehamilan. Tanda bahaya kehamilan merupakan gejala yang menunjukkan ibu dan bayi yang dikandungnya dalam keadaan bahaya. Bila ada tanda bahaya, ibu harus segera mendapat pertolongan di fasilitas kesehatan terdekat. Penyebab tingginya angka kematian ibu adalah komplikasi kehamilan yang dapat muncul melalui tanda bahaya kehamilan. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat khususnya calon pengantin untuk memahami tanda bahaya kehamilan muda.Metode yang dilakukan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah berupa kegiatan penyuluhan secara satu arah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan dilakukannya penyuluhan mengenali tanda bahaya kehamilan muda pada calon pengantin. Melalui penyuluhan yang dihadiri oleh 22 orang ini, meningkatkan pemahaman para audience mengenai tanda bahaya kehamilan muda

Dengan meningkatnya angka harapan hidup lanjut usia yang semakin tinggi, maka dibutuhkan kualitas hidup yang lebih bermakna di bandingkan dengan kualitas hidup yang sekarang yang masih relatif rendah, khususnya masalah kesehatan. Untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan khususnya sosial, ekonomi , kesehatan dan kemampuan lanjut usia, perlu di selenggarakan suatu suatu program yang berbentuk pelayanan dan pengembangan kelembagaan yang menangani masalah-masalah tersebut. Posyandu lansia merupakan salah satu wadah yang dapat membantu masyarakat melakukan upaya peningkatan dan pencegahan terhadap masalah kesehatan yang dialami oleh lanjut usia sehingga tercapai kualitas hidup yang optimal, tetapi pelaksanaannya seringkali tidak berjalan dengan baik karena dukungan masyarakat yang masih kurang, keterbatasan jumlah kader, sulitnya mencari kader yang memiliki waktu luang. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan peran serta masyarakat dalam upaya meningkatkan derajat kesehatan lanjut usia melalui rekruitmen dan pelatihan kader kesehatan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan pemerintah desa, tokoh masyarakat, kader kesehatan dan para lansia di desa Mranggen, Kabupaten Demak. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Perencanaan dilakukan untuk mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya posyandu lansia dan penyakit yang lazim terjadi pada lansia yang perlu penanganan khusus dan kontinyu. Pelaksanaan rekruitmen dan pelatihan kader untuk membekali kader dalam pelayanan posyandu. Kegiatan dilaksankan dengan baik dan mendapat respon kooperatif, antusias dan aktif setiap kegiatan dilakukan pemerintah desa, masyarakat dan Puskesmas Mranggen I mendukung keberadaan posbindu untuk mengendalikan dan mengontrol masalah kesehatan yang dialami oleh lanjut usia khususnya penyakit degeneratif
An Analysis of Figurative Language on Online English Memes
Get PDFThe phenomenon of memes has been quite popular among internet users in recent years. Various types of memes have become a new culture for the audience on the internet. This research will analyze the figurative language that is often used by meme creators and the reasonS. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data in this study are words, phrases, clauses, and sentences in Online English Memes. The sampling technique is purposive sampling technique. The data documentation technique is to search for Online English Memes on several provider sites on the internet (Reddit, 9GAG, Facebook). Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The researcher used data triangulation to validate the data based on sources, methods, researcher, and theory. The research findings show figurative language that there were 23 data include words phrases, clauses, and sentences in 11 different types. The types with the highest number of occurrences are Alliteration, Hyperbole, Irony, and Metonymy, with 3 data. Meanwhile, the types with the lowest number of occurrences are Allusion, Metaphor, and Repetition, with 1 data. Personification, Sarcasm, Simile, and Symbol have 2 data. The reasons for using figurative language in memes are to create humour, to express emotions, to convey ideas, and to grab attention
Influence of Clinician-Related Factors on Adherence to the American Heart Association Guidelines for Acute Coronary Syndrome among Clinicians at Kenya Ports Authority clinics in Mombasa, Kenya.
Get PDFAcute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) represents a critical spectrum of coronary artery diseases, including unstable angina, ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), and non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). Adherence to standardized clinical guidelines, such as the American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), is essential to optimize patient outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of clinician-related factors on adherence to the American Heart Association guidelines for ACS management among clinicians at Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) clinics in Mombasa, Kenya. Employing a descriptive cross-sectional design, quantitative data were collected from 106 clinicians, including medical doctors, nurses, and clinical officers, using self-administered questionnaires. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25, with descriptive and inferential statistics applied to identify significant associations. Results revealed high awareness of ACS guidelines (100%) and substantial training coverage (93.8%), predominantly through ACLS certification. Significant associations were found between adherence and clinician gender, work experience, job cadre, and training on ACS guidelines. The study recommends enhancing resource allocation for ACS management, ensuring availability of essential medications and equipment, and developing simplified clinical algorithms to support guideline adherence. Regular audits and continuous professional development are also advised to sustain adherence and improve patient care quality
EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON ROTOR BALANCING AND STRUCTURAL REPAIR METHOD TO OVERCOME UNBALANCE AND STRUCUTRAL LOOSENESS IN CENTER HUNG MACHINES
Get PDFUnbalance and structural looseness are problems in industrial machines that can amplify the machine's vibration level if they occur simultaneously. Experimental study was done by comparing rotor balancing and machine’s structural repair methods in dealing with unbalance and structural looseness problems. The investigated equipment in this study consists of rotor and disk which represent center hung machines in industries such as fans, blowers, pumps and others. A comparison was made between the rotor balancing and structural repairs under the same initial problem conditions and vibration levels. The result of this study indicate that structural repair reduced machine vibration at higher level compared to rotor balancing. Even when the specimens were subjected to unbalance problems again, the increase in machine vibration level, which was previously improved by structural repairmen is not excessively high

A study involving the addition of Moringa Oleifera leaf flour to yoghurt aims to assess its impact on chemical and organoleptic characteristics. The experiment utilized a Completely Randomized Design with three levels of Moringa leaf flour addition: 1% (P1), 2% (P2), and 3% (P3). The results indicate that the addition of Moringa leaf flour significantly affects ash content, lactic acid, protein, fat, and calcium levels in yoghurt. STEAM-Based Learning Implementation Plan: Integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics in Teaching Indonesian Language Education
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to describe the ability of teachers and various factors that support and hinder the ability of teachers in preparing STEAM-based learning implementation plans. The data sources in this study were 30 learning implementation plans that had been prepared by Indonesian language teachers who had participated in teacher professional education training activities at a private university in Jakarta. The method used in this study was content analysis. In addition, data collection was also carried out through structured interviews to explore the opinions of teachers about the supporting and inhibiting factors experienced by teachers in the training of preparing STEAM-based learning plans. The results of the study showed that the average ability of teachers in preparing STEAM-based learning implementation plans was very good, namely (80). This means that they have been able to describe the learning steps using the STEAM approach well. The success factor for teachers in preparing STEAM-based learning implementation plans (LIPs) is influenced by the readiness of the implementing agency, instructors, and the optimal support of certain personnel.
