Model Conceptual of Culture and Health-Seeking Behavior Among Mothers of Children with Stunting: A narrative review
Socio-cultural factors can have a significant impact on the occurrence of stunting in children. Mothers with limited health literacy may need help comprehending the nuances of nutrition and malnutrition in children. This can lead to inadequate nutrition for their children, resulting in stunting. Unfortunately, a shortage of literature thoroughly explains the connection between health-seeking behavior theory and child stunting. This study entails a comprehensive narrative review that delves into the correlation between maternal health literacy, culture, and health-seeking behavior, particularly regarding child stunting. The CINAHL, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library databases were searched for published papers from 2009 to 2023. The search terms were maternal health literacy, culture, health-seeking behavior, and children with stunting or malnutrition. A comprehensive conceptual model can provide invaluable guidance for innovative research on caring for stunted children in rural areas. By amalgamating the concepts of culture and healing-seeking behavior with maternal health literacy, a more nuanced understanding of the problem of child stunting can be achieved. This can lead to the development of complementary and supportive interventions to improve maternal health literacy. Therefore, we should explore the potential benefits of such a model in our research endeavours

Gastric Histopathological Image of Winstar Rats Induced by Ethanol After Red Ginger Extract Administration
Background: Alcohol can cause damage to the gastric mucosal barrier and reverse diffusion of HCL which results in damage to gastric tissue. The flavonoids in red ginger act as exogenous antioxidants which can ward off free radicals which reduce damage to the gastric mucosa caused by alcohol. Objective: To determine the differences in the histopathology of the rats gastric induced by 40% ethanol after administration of red ginger (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum) extract at graded doses. Methods: A post-test only group design method. 25 rats samples were divided into 5 groups: K(-) standard feed; K(+) ethanol 40% 1.8ml/200g/day; P1 red ginger extract 250mg/KgBW; P2 red ginger extract 500mg/KgBW; and P3 red ginger extract 750mg/KgBW. After 60 minutes, 40% ethanol was given at a dose of 1.8ml/200g/day. Treatment was carried out for 30 days, then on day 31 termination was carried out and gastric histopathology preparations were made with hematoxylin-eosin staining. Calculation of hull damage scores using the Barthel-Manja criteria. Analysis of differences in gastric mucosal damage between groups using the Kruskal Wallis Test and Mann Withney Test. Results: The difference between groups obtained significant results (p=0.003). There were significant differences between the K- and K+ groups (p=0.016), the K- and P1 groups (p=0.032), between the K- and P2 groups (p=0.032), between the K+ and P3 groups (p =0.032). Conclusion: Administration of red ginger extract at a dose of 750mg/KgBW was proven to be effective in preventing damage to the gastric mucosa induced by 40% ethanol
The Effectiveness Of Salicylic acid Therapy In Mild and Moderate Acne Vulgaris
Background: Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory disease of polysebaceous follicles characterized by lesions that include blackheads, papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts. The prevalence of acne vulgaris is most significant among adolescents aged 15 to 18. In mild and moderate acne vulgaris, topical treatment enhances skin conditions. It is believed that the ability of salicylic acid to reach the stratum corneum, which exfoliates due to its comedolytic properties, aids in the healing of acne vulgaris. Objective: Evaluate the efficacy of salicylic acid as a treatment for mild and moderate acne vulgaris. Methods: This study's design involved a literature search using the terms acne vulgaris and salicylic acid in Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct. Results: The investigation found 108 articles were discovered and excluded based on the restriction criteria; 8 articles were reviewed. Salicylic acid substantially improved mild and moderate acne, according to all studies. Improvement was measured based on the lesion's severity, the lesion type, and Goodman's qualitative global scarring grading system. There is an improvement in inflammatory, non-inflammatory, and hyperpigmented lesions. Conclusion: Salicylic acid is clinically beneficial for mild to moderate acne vulgaris

Increased public awareness of the back-to-nature lifestyle has encouraged using natural materials, especially for health purposes. One of the natural ingredients that attracts attention and has the potential to be developed is Selaginella spp. leaves, commonly known as "daun cakar ayam" in Indonesia, have been proven beneficial for human health due to their potential bioactivity. However, the profiles of bioactive compounds in “daun cakar ayam” leaves are lacking, unexplored, and poorly documented. This study aims to identify the functional groups of bioactive compounds in “daun cakar ayam” leaf powder and its extracts in water and methanolic extracts using the Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) method. Commercial “daun cakar ayam” was obtained online and evaluated using a Shimadzu IR Spirit-FTIR spectrophotometer. The FTIR spectra results show that “daun cakar ayam” powder and its extract have different infrared absorption patterns in the 400-4000 cm-1 range. The functional groups identified in “daun cakar ayam” powder and its extracts include O-H stretching, C-H (stretch and stretching), multiple bonding, C-H (bending and aromatic), C=O, N-H, CH2, CH3, C=C aromatic, C-O, C-O-C, C-N stretching, C-O-H, and C-OH aromatic, which indicate the presence of phenolic, flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, saponin, and triterpenoids compounds. The FTIR method used in this study successfully confirmed the presence of important bioactive compounds in commercial “daun cakar ayam” leaf powder and its extract qualitatively that have the potential to be used as herbal medicine. Quantifying bioactive compounds from “daun cakar ayam” powder and its extracts, as well as further specific bioactivity testing, are required to develop safe and standardized “daun cakar ayam” based herbal products
The Impact of Taxation Socialization, Taxpayer Understanding, Service Quality, and Perception of Tax Rates on Individual Taxpayer Compliance
This study aims to objectively investigate how perceived tax rates, taxpayer comprehension, tax socialization, and service quality impact individual taxpayer compliance. This study uses the theory of planned behaviour. The theory of planned behaviour states that the behaviour carried out by a person is based on the will factor, which is used as a reason to perform the behaviour. Purposive sampling is one of the sampling strategies used in this study to obtain primary data. 120 respondents completed questionnaires, which were used to collect data. They are testing hypotheses with SPSS software. Based on the results of the SPSS analysis, taxpayer understanding and perceptions of tax rates affect individual taxpayer compliance. However, tax socialization and service quality do not affect individual taxpayer compliance. This research contributes to developing the Theory of Planned Behavior in the context of individual taxpayer compliance. This research references the Government and the Directorate General of Taxes in making policies to improve taxpayer compliance. However, this study only used a small sample, so the research results were less in-depth
