Liminalitas Dakwah dalam Event Keagamaan Urban
This study examines how urban da’wah events shape religious experience through ritual processes infused with liminal atmospheres. The study focuses on Bandung as a social landscape that is both creative and deeply religious, where various religious events are organized by communities, mosque administrators, and event organizers. Using a phenomenological approach through in-depth interviews and observation, the research finds that da’wah events function not only as arenas of religious communication but also develop into episodic rituals. Participants step away from their daily routines, enter an in-between space filled with symbols and collective energy, and return to everyday life carrying renewed spiritual meaning. This process illustrates how urban da’wah adopts a ritual structure that binds identity, fosters communitas, and links religious expression with the cultural dynamics of the city.

Religious Shifts in Tarogong Kidul: Life in the Social Media Age
This research investigates the transformation of religious behavior in the community of Tarogong Kidul, Garut Regency, within the rapidly evolving landscape of social media. Framed through a sociological-anthropological lens and guided by Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of habitus, the study applies a qualitative descriptive method using a case study approach. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis, with triangulation employed to ensure validity. The analysis reveals a significant shift in religious expression—from deeply internalized spiritual practices to symbolic and commodified forms—driven by factors such as technological advancement, urbanization, and socioeconomic change. Social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, and YouTube have emerged as influential arenas for da’wah and religious engagement, yet they also contribute to the fragmentation of traditional religious authority and the marketization of faith. Although public participation in routine religious activities appears to decline, adaptive religious centers like the Grand Mosque of Garut demonstrate increased relevance and engagement. At the same time, the cultural fabric of Sundanese Islam faces challenges from unfiltered global content, often rendering communities passive consumers. However, improvements in education and income empower individuals to reinterpret religious values within modern, urban realities. This study concludes that what occurs in Tarogong Kidul is not a break from tradition, but a dynamic negotiation between inherited religious habitus and new social structures of the digital age. The research offers theoretical insight into the interplay between tradition and modernity, methodological contributions through a robust qualitative design, and practical value for designing inclusive, media-sensitive religious outreach strategies in contemporary urban societies
Enhancing Creative Thinking in Electrochemistry through a Science Literacy Integrated STEM-PBL Model
Creative thinking is an essential learning outcome in undergraduate chemistry education, particularly in electrochemistry, where students are required to integrate conceptual understanding with problem solving and real world applications. Integrating science literacy within a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics–Problem Based Learning (STEM-PBL) framework offers a practical instructional approach to address this challenge by situating electrochemical concepts in authentic problem contexts. This study analysed the effectiveness of a science literacy integrated STEM-PBL model in enhancing undergraduate students’ creative thinking skills in an electrochemistry course. A quantitative quasi experimental design was employed, involving an experimental group taught using the science literacy integrated STEM-PBL model and a control group receiving traditional instruction. Students’ creative thinking skills were measured before and after instruction using a validated assessment instrument. Instructional effectiveness was evaluated by comparing normalized gain (N-gain) scores between the two groups. The results show that students who participated in the STEM-PBL learning environment achieved a substantially higher N-gain score (75.47%) than those in the control group (49.96%). These findings indicate that integrating science literacy into STEM-PBL activities significantly enhances students’ creative thinking skills in electrochemistry learning. The results have important implications for chemistry instruction. They suggest that incorporating science literacy oriented, problem based STEM activities can provide instructors with an effective strategy to promote creative thinking and deepen students’ understanding of electrochemical concepts. This approach may support the design of more engaging and meaningful electrochemistry learning experiences in undergraduate chemistry classrooms
Islamization of Knowledge or Modern Myth ? Kantian Reflections on al-Faruqi’s Vision
The concept of Islamization of knowledge according to Ismail Raji al-Faruqi using the perspective of Immanuel Kant\u27s criticism. Al-Faruqi is a figure who plays an important role in introducing the idea of Islamization of knowledge, an effort to reconstruct and reinterpret scientific disciplines based on Islamic principles. This article is a library research with a qualitative approach, descriptive critical analysis related to al-Faruqi concept of the Islamization of knowledge analyzed through Immanuel Kant\u27s critical approach, especially related to rationality, ethics, and intellectual freedom. This analysis aims to see how these two thoughts can complement each other or even clash in an effort to combine religion and science. Kant\u27s critical analysis of the concept of the Islamization of knowledge initiated by al-Faruqi contains problematic elements, especially in the metaphysical aspect, namely the concept of tawhid which is al-Faruqi theological idea when applied in the realm of science which should be empirical. On the other hand, there are important similarities between al-Faruqi and Immanuel Kant that science cannot be separated from morality which plays a role in directing science to contribute to the good of humanity
Religion as Moral Infrastructure: Lived Islam, Welfare Governance, and the Family Hope Program in Indonesia
This article examines how Islam, lived as everyday practice, operates as a moral infrastructure shaping welfare meanings, ethical compliance, and state–society relations in the implementation of Indonesia’s Family Hope Program (Program Keluarga Harapan, PKH) in Palu City, Central Sulawesi. The study aims to address the limitations of dominant administrative and economistic approaches to welfare policy by demonstrating why religion must be taken seriously as an operative moral force within public policy practice, particularly in Global South contexts. Employing a qualitative descriptive–interpretive design, the research draws on field observations, in-depth interviews with PKH beneficiaries, program facilitators, local officials, and religious leaders, as well as analysis of policy documents and program guidelines. Data were analyzed thematically through iterative processes of data reduction, categorization, and interpretation to capture the lived religious meanings embedded in welfare practices. The findings reveal three key patterns. First, beneficiaries conceptualize welfare not as material accumulation or class mobility, but as a condition of sufficiency, calmness, and security, sustained primarily through children’s education, food provision, and basic healthcare. Second, PKH assistance is understood as a religious amanah (trust), generating compliance and disciplined assistance management through internalized moral emotions such as gratitude, fear of sin, shame, and parental responsibility rather than fear of administrative sanctions. Third, PKH functions as an arena of moral governance in which state regulations gain effectiveness by resonating with local Islamic moral idioms, mediated by program facilitators, local authorities, and kiai. The study has important implications for welfare policy and religious studies. It demonstrates that welfare governance in the Global South cannot be adequately understood through secular or technocratic lenses alone, as policy effectiveness depends on its capacity to engage existing religious moral ecologies. The originality of this research lies in its contribution to reframing welfare policy as a site of lived religion and moral governance

ANALYSING HUGH GLASS’S REVERSE MIMICRY OF NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE IN FILM THE REVENANT (2015)
Mimicry generally entails the colonized emulating the culture of the colonizer. In The Revenant (2015), the notion of mimicry is inverted, with the colonizer emulating the colonized. While prior research indicated that reverse imitation serves as a subtle method for colonizers to exert their dominance, the analyzed film demonstrated the contrary. This study employs a textual film analysis to scrutinize the film\u27s visual composition, character representation, and symbolic imagery through Homi K. Bhabha\u27s concepts of mimicry and ambivalence. It concludes that Glass\u27s imitation of Native American survival practices, including the consumption of raw flesh and the use of natural remedies, symbolizes his negotiation between colonial identity and reliance on the culture of the colonized. This study underscores how reverse mimicry complicates colonial hierarchies and identity formation within postcolonial film studies
