Perkembangan Kesenian Bangreng di Kabupaten Sumedang Tahun 1969-2020
This article asserts the significance of Bangreng Art, which was established in 1969 by Abah Maman Suharya. Bangreng Art is a direct evolution of Terbang and Gembyung art, with Terbang art playing a crucial role in spreading Islam throughout the Sumedang Regency. While anchored in Islamic teachings like prayer and dhikr, the rituals are still executed in accordance with Hindu cultural norms. Research unequivocally shows that Bangreng Art stands as a unique artistic expression in Sumedang Regency, deeply rooted in Terbang art and its mission to promote Islamic teachings. Initially, Bangreng Art enjoyed immense popularity within the Sumedang community. However, by the 2000s, it reached a critical saturation point. In response, the Sumedang Regency government has taken decisive action to preserve Bangreng Art through three key strategies: robust protection, strategic development, and meaningful utilization.
Designing A Website for Teaching Arabic Grammar Rules in Al-Ajrumiyyah Book for Self-Directed Learners
Arabic grammar (nahwu) in higher education is often taught through memorization and static texts, which hinders systematic understanding and independent practice. This study developed and evaluated Jurumiyah.ID, a web-based learning platform that organizes the Matn al-Ājurrūmiyyah and selected syarah, adds cross-referenced rules, and embeds interactive quizzes to support self-directed learning. The development followed a Research & Development approach using the ADDIE Model, and Waterfall SDLC adaptation. Core features include searchable matn and rule summaries, cross-references among interdependent rules, and short formative tests designed for rapid feedback and review. Methodologically, the study employed a one-group pretest–posttest design to estimate learning gains attributable to structured practice on Jurumiyah.ID. The objective test bank was constructed from 30 items and reduced to 10 valid items through corrected item total correlations; internal consistency was acceptable (Cronbach’s α = 0.794). Participants (n = 40) were students from Qur’anic Studies and Islamic Education programs at Universitas Islam Darussalam Ciamis. Post-test performance exceeded pre-test performance, indicating measurable improvement in students’ understanding of key Ajurrūmiyyah rules after using web. Psychometric screening supports the adequacy of the instrument for detecting change (10 valid items; α = 0.794), and the design isolates short-term learning gains under guided self-study conditions. The platform’s modular design and searchable knowledge base enable scalable integration into course syllabi and independent study. Future work should extend to controlled comparisons and broader content coverage to strengthen causal inference and generalizability
Efficiency of AB Mix with Liquid Organic Fertilizer on Hydroponic Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) Growth
The overuse of synthetic AB mix fertilizers in hydroponic systems raises concerns over chemical residues and long-term health risks. Incorporating liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) is a potential strategy to improve nutrient efficiency and enhance crop productivity. This study aimed to evaluate the application of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) as a sustainable strategy to reduce AB mix dependency while maintaining crop growth and productivity. The experiment was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments: P1 (100% AB mix/control), P2 (25% LOF + 75% AB mix), P3 (50% LOF + 50% AB mix), P4 (75% LOF + 25% AB mix), and P5 (100% LOF). Plant growth and yield parameters were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The combination of LOF and AB mix significantly affected (P<0.05) plant height, root fresh weight, leaf number, and shoot fresh weight, but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on root length. All combinations of LOF and AB mix, including the 100% AB mix treatment, yielded statistically similar results across all measured parameters. However, the treatment with 75% LOF + 25% AB mix tended to produce the highest values, enhanced flavor, and did not reduce shelf life, whereas the 100% LOF treatment resulted in the lowest performance. These findings highlight the potential of LOF to substantially reduce synthetic input in hydroponic lettuce production, supporting more sustainable and health-conscious cultivation practices
Assessing the Ecological Status of the Curug Tilu Leuwi Opat Waterfall Using Macroinvertebrates and Physicochemical Parameters
Anthropogenic activities increasingly threaten freshwater availability. The Curug Tilu Leuwi Opat waterfall in the Cimahi River, an important water source for surrounding communities and a popular tourist site, requires an ecological assessment to support effective water management. This study aims to provide an initial overview of the ecological status of waters through an integrative approach that combines benthic macroinvertebrates and physicochemical parameters. Sampling was conducted in two waterfall streams, Kacapi and Aseupan, which are part of the Curug Tilu Leuwi Opat waterfall system. Physicochemical parameters measured included temperature, flow velocity, pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, and total dissolved solids. Benthic macroinvertebrates were collected using a Surber net and identified to the lowest feasible taxonomic level, typically morphospecies with some taxa at the family level, and subsequently analyzed using the Shannon–Wiener index, Simpson’s dominance, the Family Biotic Index (FBI), and Canonical Correspondence Analysis. Results indicated excellent water quality (FBI at Kacapi = 4.17; Aseupan = 4.24), driven by the presence of pollution-sensitive taxa from Leptophlebiidae, Tipulidae, and Perlidae, while the slightly higher FBI at Aseupan reflected several moderately tolerant families such as Physidae and Simuliidae. Benthic macroinvertebrate diversity was moderate with no dominant species, indicating stable community structure. Most measured parameters that met established standards met Class I criteria, while dissolved oxygen, conductivity, and flow velocity emerged as the dominant variables shaping community structure. Overall, the aquatic ecological status was excellent, highlighting the role of aquatic biodiversity as a scientific basis for sustainable environmental managemen
Interpersonal Competence and Professional Growth in Islamic Education Teachers
Interpersonal competencies, such as communication, empathy, and collaboration, are fundamental to teacher professionalism in Islamic Religious Education (IRE). However, there is limited understanding of how these skills vary across Indonesia’s diverse contexts This study investigates regional variations in the interpersonal competencies of IRE teachers and their socio-demographic predictors. A quantitative survey was conducted with 12,002 teachers selected through stratified random sampling across multiple provinces. Furthermore, data collection involved a Likert-scale online questionnaire, complemented by offline methods in regions with limited internet connectivity. To examine regional disparities and socio-demographic factors, descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and regression analyses were conducted, and spatial variations were illustrated using GIS mapping. The findings of this study reveal significant disparities, with urban teachers reporting higher levels of interpersonal competence compared to their rural counterparts, as well as notable differences across Indonesia’s major islands. These results underscore the critical role of socio-cultural and infrastructural factors in shaping teacher professionalism. By providing empirical evidence of regional inequalities, this study enriches the discourse on Islamic education and highlights the importance of context-sensitive professional development initiatives that aim to enhance interpersonal competencies and promote greater educational equity in Indonesia
A Quality Assurance Framework for Strengthening Post-Certification Arabic Language Teacher Performance in Madrasah
Globally, efforts to enhance Arabic language education continue to struggle with the absence of standardized post-certification evaluation systems, and in Indonesia, this challenge is particularly evident as the lack of systematic instruments and models for assessing certified teachers undermines the long-term sustainability of professional quality. Addressing this gap, the present study was designed to develop a performance assessment instrument and a training management model within a quality-based framework that strengthens four core competencies: pedagogical, personal, social, and professional. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 261 certified Arabic teachers working at MI, MTs, and MA levels across 10 districts and cities in West Nusa Tenggara Province, selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Validation testing confirmed that the developed instrument demonstrated high validity and reliability, making it suitable for consistent use in teacher evaluation. Furthermore, performance results revealed that the majority of teachers were categorized as “very good,” indicating strong competence and positive contributions to effective, character-based learning. These findings highlight the significance of integrating systematic assessment with a continuous training model. The study suggests that adopting the proposed quality-based framework offers a sustainable pathway to enhance teacher competencies, aligning with both national education standards and Islamic educational values

Indigenous Peoples’ Rights and Development Governance: Evaluating FPIC Compliance in Geothermal Power Development
Indigenous communities in Indonesia continue to experience rights violations linked to development projects that proceed without meaningful participation. In such contexts, the principle of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) is essential to ensure that Indigenous peoples can make voluntary decisions, receive timely information, and be recognized as legitimate decision-makers in their customary territories. This study examines FPIC implementation in the Mataloko Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) project in Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, where project activities have been associated with social tension and conflict. The research aims to describe and analyse how FPIC has been applied in the Mataloko PLTP development process and how FPIC practices relate to community resistance. Using a concurrent triangulation mixed-methods design, this study combines a survey of 100 respondents from five villages with in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation review. Quantitative data were analysed descriptively and supported by statistical testing, while qualitative evidence was used to contextualize and explain community perceptions and conflict dynamics. Findings indicate that FPIC has not been implemented substantively. Communities reported limited freedom in decision-making, incomplete and uneven information disclosure, and consultation processes that did not sufficiently involve all affected groups or respect collective customary procedures. These deficiencies contributed to polarization within the community and strengthened resistance framed as demands for justice and protection of communal rights. This study contributes empirical evidence on FPIC gaps in geothermal development and underscores the practical importance of transparent, inclusive, and culturally grounded FPIC processes. Policy implications include early-stage consultation, open dissemination of impact information (including EIA findings), and safeguards to prevent rights-based conflict escalation
