    No full text
Bangladesh\u27s economy has been experiencing increasing inflationary pressure in food prices in recent years. This study explores the nexus between price inflation and nutritional food consumption among youth and explains whether it impacts their health, mental health, and academics. This study used a mixed-method approach, collected survey data from 205 youth respondents, and conducted 10 IDIs with the respondents. This study found that inflation significantly impacts youth-quality food consumption. Lower-income and middle-income youth are most affected by food price hikes and have become used to negative adaptations, including reducing the quality of food consumption and skipping meals. The changes in dietary behaviour had a significant impact on the health status of the youth, which also led to health and mental health pressure. The Bangladesh government should take the lead in enacting strong policies that promote lower prices, increased productivity, and educating young people about the affordability of nutrient-rich meals

    No full text
This study aims to analyze the challenges and strategies in enhancing the effectiveness of sexual violence prevention and response task forces in Indonesian religious higher education institutions. The study identifies various obstacles that universities face in implementing policies for the prevention and handling of sexual violence, as well as the strategies they employ to overcome these challenges. This research adopts a qualitative approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with heads of gender and child study centers, members of the sexual violence prevention and response task forces, and lecturers across seven religious higher education institutions in Indonesia. The findings reveal that, although several universities have established task forces, they still encounter major challenges, such as limited trained human resources, victims’ reluctance to report incidents, and conservative campus cultures. However, the strategies implemented, including continuous training for staff and lecturers and the use of technology for reporting, have proven effective in raising awareness and improving responsiveness to sexual violence. This study contributes significantly to the development of policies for the prevention and handling of sexual violence in religious higher education institutions. It recommends strengthening institutional structures, intensifying training programs, and developing more integrated digital reporting systems to create safer and more responsive campuses. Furthermore, this research provides an original contribution by exploring the challenges and strategies faced by religious universities in implementing sexual violence prevention and response policies, offering new insights into how these strategies can be improved and adapted to the specific context of religious higher education in Indonesia

This article aims to map the trends of themes and topics discussed in the theses of students in the Qur\u27anic and Tafsir Studies Program at IAIN Pontianak and to relate them to the vision and mission of the study program and the socio-religious context of the community in West Kalimantan. In analyzing the data, this research employs a qualitative approach with thematic analysis on 20 thesis titles from the year 2024. The results of this study indicate that there is a connection between the students and the vision and mission of the Qur\u27anic and Tafsir Studies Program at IAIN Pontianak for 2024. The results of this research indicate that students have a connection with the vision and mission of the Qur’anic and Tafsir Studies Program at IAIN Pontianak for the year 2024. This is based on the scientific orientation, approaches, and accommodation towards the Borneo culture. The vision of the Qur’anic and Tafsir Studies Program emphasizes the importance of excellence and openness in the study of Islam and local Borneo culture. In addition, in the research, students also support the mission of the Qur’anic and Tafsir Studies Program, particularly in terms of scientific excellence and research in Islamic studies. The research theme of students also strengthens the cultural heritage that forms the identity of Islamic scholarship and Bornean culture. However, there are still few student studies that discuss religious moderation in the context of West Kalimantan, both from the aspect of social dynamics and the realities of religious practices. In addition, there is limited integration of interpretive approaches with other disciplines such as fiqh, sufism, and socio-political studies. This research recommends strengthening the academic policy direction of the study program to encourage research that is more relevant to the needs of the local community, religious moderation, and the socio-religious dynamics of the West Kalimantan community

SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN PRACTICES AND THEIR IMPACT ON COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE: EVIDENCE FROM INDONESIA’S MANUFACTURING SECTOR

    No full text
This study explores the relationship between sustainable supply chain practices (SSCP) and competitive advantage within Indonesia’s manufacturing sector through a structured literature review approach. As global industries face mounting pressure to integrate environmental and social considerations into their operations, the need for sustainable supply chain strategies has become increasingly critical. Despite a growing body of literature, empirical insights specific to Indonesia’s manufacturing context remain fragmented and underexplored. This paper synthesizes existing research to identify key dimensions of SSCP environmental management, ethical sourcing, and circular logistics and their strategic relevance to competitiveness. Using data extracted from peer-reviewed sources indexed in Scopus and other academic databases, the study applies a narrative review method to consolidate findings. The results indicate that firms adopting sustainable practices tend to achieve improved brand reputation, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and innovation capacity. Furthermore, the integration of sustainability into supply chains enhances long-term resilience and stakeholder trust. However, challenges persist, including lack of infrastructure, limited awareness, and regulatory inconsistency in the Indonesian context. This review not only bridges theoretical perspectives but also offers practical implications for policymakers and industry leaders. It concludes by highlighting research gaps and proposing future directions to advance sustainable supply chain scholarship in emerging economies

    No full text
Universities remain underutilized in addressing pressing issues of poverty, unemployment, and inequality. This study aims to develop a structured framework that integrates social entrepreneurship and Islamic philanthropy into academic moral responsibility. Using a qualitative method, the research combines Critical Literature Review (CLR) and Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) through a case study of the Islamic Philanthropreneurship Lab (LKSFI). Findings reveal two key outcomes: (1) a theoretical-philosophical foundation for embedding social entrepreneurship and philanthropy in higher education, and (2) a redesigned Business Model Canvas adapted for university-based philanthropic ventures. This framework offers a strategic tool to enhance universities\u27 social missions and institutional alignment

Green Intellectual Capital as a Mediator of Good Corporate Governance and Firm Value: A Sharia Perspective

    No full text
This study aims to examine the influence of the mechanism of good corporate governance (GCG) on the value of the company (FV), with Green Intellectual Capital (GIC) as a mediating variable in telecommunication companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2016–2022. This research fills a gap in the literature related to the contribution of GIC in strengthening the relationship between GCG and FV, especially in sectors facing the pressures of digital transformation and environmental sustainability. The method used is Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of Smart PLS 3 software. Data was obtained through purposive sampling from 15 telecommunication companies. The results of the study show that GCG has a significant effect on GIC and company value, and that GIC mediates significantly the influence of GCG on company value. However, the direct influence of GCG on company value is more dominant than the indirect influence through GIC. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening human resource capacity and knowledge-based sustainability strategies to improve the company\u27s competitiveness in a sustainable manner

China in Global Lithium Production: A Study on Economic Viability

    No full text
The study aims to analyze China\u27s strategic role in global lithium production amid increasing demand for critical minerals to support the energy transition. The background of this study is based on the limitations of China\u27s domestic lithium reserves, while the country is able to dominate the downstream sector through processing and refining. The research uses a descriptive-analytical approach with secondary data sourced from USGS, IEA, UN Comtrade, as well as academic and official policy publications for the 2019–2023 period. The analysis was conducted comparatively to compare China\u27s production, import and investment capacity with other major producing countries. The results show that China\u27s dominance is more determined by its mastery of downstream technology, vertical integration, and global investment strategies than by the availability of domestic reserves. Expansion into Latin America and Africa through the acquisition of lithium mines is a key instrument in securing the supply of raw materials. The contribution of this research lies in the synthesis of the literature on mineral geopolitics by highlighting the paradox between resource limitations and the dominance of downstream industries. These findings have important implications for other countries in formulating energy security strategies, supply diversification, and downstream policies in the transition era to clean energy
