Authority and Accuracy: A Study on LPMQ’s Role in Regulating Digital Translations of The Qur’an
This study investigates the diverse formats and categories of publications available for digital translations of the Holy Quran. Given the Quran\u27s significance in Islam, its translation into various languages is vital for non-Arabic-speaking Muslims and scholars worldwide. The research delves into traditional printed translations, such as pocket sized editions, comprehensive annotated versions, and parallel text formats, comparing them to digital translations available in e-books, mobile applications, and online platforms. The study also examines the unique challenges posed by translating the Quran, including the preservation of its linguistic and theological nuances in different languages and mediums. By analyzing these aspects, the paper aims to shed light on the evolving methods of disseminating Quranic translations, emphasizing the balance between accessibility and the faithful representation of the sacred text. In this modern era, we cannot deny that the development of electronics is rapidly increase and has an impact on social life, even in this modern era we can get everything easily, including the model and type of digital Qur\u27an translation publications in the 5.0 era, this phenomenon raises several questions regarding the validity of the translation in the digital Qur\u27an model, is it in accordance with the provisions of the Indonesian LPMQ (Lajnah Pentashihan Mushaf al-Qur’an)? How does the birth of the digital Qur\u27an form of expression affect the study of the Qur\u27an in Indonesia? This article argues that these Qur\u27ans express interactivity in religion. Hadith Perspectives on Labor Welfare: The Principle of Compensation for Effort
The issue of worker welfare and fair compensation is becoming increasingly important in the modern world of work. Islamic values, especially those contained in the hadith, provide ethical guidance in creating fair labor practices. The hadith of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH which reads “Give wages to workers before their sweat dries” emphasizes the importance of timely payment of wages as a form of respect for workers\u27 rights and prevention of exploitation. This research aims to explore the application of Islamic principles related to wage justice and the protection of workers\u27 rights, focusing on the contemporary context where late payment of wages is still a significant problem. A qualitative approach is used to analyze relevant hadiths and interpretations of scholars, as well as to review literature and case studies to understand the impact of wage payments on workers\u27 welfare. The findings show that timely payment of wages not only reflects fairness, but also contributes to workers\u27 financial well-being, preserves their dignity, and increases satisfaction and productivity. Compliance with the principle of fair wage distribution also encourages the creation of a positive and harmonious work culture. The study concludes that Islamic principles of justice and welfare are universal and relevant to address the challenges of modern employment. The application of these principles can create mutually beneficial working relationships and support the formation of a more just and prosperous societ
Prophetic Hadith and the Spectrum of Night Devotion: Reconstructing Qiyām al-Lail in Contemporary Context
The concept of qiyām al-lail in Islamic tradition is often narrowly interpreted as night prayers such as tahajjud or witir. However, numerous Prophetic traditions indicate that nighttime devotion includes not only prayer but also spiritually significant acts like remembrance (dhikr), Qur’anic recitation, consultation, education, and social service. This study aims to reinterpret the meaning of qiyām al-lail in the Prophet’s ḥadīths through a ma’ānī al-ḥadīth approach that emphasizes textual, intertextual, and contextual analysis. The method employed is qualitative library research with takhrīj al-ḥadīth and critical analysis of the chains of transmission (isnād) and content (matn) of ḥadīths found in the kutub al-tis’ah. The results show that the examined ḥadīths are authentic, free from ‘illah or shudhūdh, and provide a robust basis for reinterpretation. Through a meaning-based lens, qiyām al-lail encompasses not only ritual practices like prayer but also other nightly acts of devotion intended for seeking nearness to Allah. This reinterpretation affirms that spiritual excellence at night can manifest in various forms of contextualized religious and social engagement. Thus, this study expands the understanding of nighttime worship and brings the prophetic tradition closer to the lived realities of contemporary Muslim
Hijab and Mountaineering: A Semiotic Study of Piety, Agency, and Resistance in the Pendaki Hijabers Community, Indonesia
This study aims to analyze the layered meanings of the hijab within the Pendaki Hijabers community in Indonesia. The research seeks to explain how the hijab functions not only as a religious obligation but also as a cultural signifier of piety, agency, and resistance, making it important to understand its role in shaping Muslim women’s identity in unconventional public spaces. Using a qualitative approach, the study employed in-depth interviews, participant observations during mountain expeditions, and documentation of community campaigns. The data were analyzed through Roland Barthes’ theory of cultural semiotics to identify the denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings of the hijab. The results reveal three key layers of meaning. At the denotative level, the hijab serves as a sign of obedience and piety. At the connotative level, it becomes a symbol of freedom and inclusivity, challenging stereotypes of restriction. At the mythological level, the hijab embodies resistance and social transformation through activities such as daʿwah, the GEMAR (Gerakan Menutup Aurat) campaign, and community service. These findings contribute to religious and cultural studies by offering new insights into the relationship between faith, gender, and physical endurance. They also suggest practical implications for gender equality advocacy, daʿwah strategies, and the promotion of inclusive public spaces for women. The originality of this research lies in situating the hijab within the context of extreme outdoor activities—a domain rarely addressed in previous studies—and in demonstrating how religious symbols operate as dynamic cultural signifiers that bridge devotion, empowerment, and ideological resistance
INTEGRATION OF THE RADEC MODEL IN ALTERNATIVE ENERGY TOPICS TO FOSTER CREATIVITY AS A TRAIT OF THE PANCASILA STUDENT PROFILE
This research was conducted to explore the effects of implementing the use of RADEC learning paradigm affects the Pancasila Student Profile\u27s creative component, particularly in relation to alternative energy-related subjects. Using a matching-only posttest-only control group design, a quasi-experimental approach was used to select participants, with Class X.10 (36 students) serving as the control group and Class X.12 (36 students) as the experimental group. A posttest consisting of 10 essay questions that were all in line with the three creativity indicators listed in the Pancasila Student Profile was used to measure creativity. The research process included preliminary testing, expert validation, instrument trials, analysis of model implementation, the study also involved Hypothesis test through Test the significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that the computed t-value (t = 8.4) was above the significance level critical t-value (t = 1.67), prompting acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and rejection of the null hypothesis (H0). These findings suggest that the RADEC model significantly enhances the creative dimension within the Pancasila Student Profile when applied to alternative energy material. The uniqueness of this study lies in its innovative application of the RADEC model in Physics instruction to foster student creativity and strengthen the creative competency within the Pancasila Student Profile framework
Utilizing Concept Maps to Uncover Misconceptions in Human Reproductive System Material
Misunderstanding concepts in Biology learning can hinder the process of knowledge reception and assimilation in students, potentially impeding their academic achievement. This study aims to explore student misconceptions using concept maps. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Tangerang Selatan (State Islamic High School 1 South Tangerang) in October 2022. The material used to explore misconceptions was the human reproductive system, which students had previously studied. A qualitative descriptive method was employed in this study. Purposive sampling was used as the sampling technique. Data were collected using the Student Worksheet for Concept Map Compilation and Creation instrument, which contained instructions for creating concept maps, preceded by an explanation of concept maps, their characteristics, examples, and steps for creating them. Clarification interviews were also conducted to clarify misconceptions revealed in the students\u27 concept maps. Student concept map answers were analyzed based on categories of knowing concepts, misconceptions, and not knowing concepts. The results from the concept map creation test and clarification interviews showed that students experienced misconceptions regarding human reproductive organ concepts, gametogenesis, fertilization, pregnancy, menstruation, and breastfeeding. Students exhibited the most misconceptions regarding the concept of Fertilization. Thus, concept maps can be used as an evaluation tool for misconceptions experienced by student
Validity of E-Inquiry-Based Practical Instructions to Improve Critical Thinking in Plant Anatomy Learning
The development of technology is currently accelerating. One of the uses of technology in education is teaching or supporting media in learning. This study aimed to design E-instructions for the stomata observation practicum inquiry method to improve critical thinking in learning valid plant anatomy and to determine E-instructions\u27 validity to improve critical thinking in learning plant anatomy. The method in this research is the ADDIE method, which has several stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research data was collected using validity instruments in the form of validity sheets. This research uses a descriptive quantitative data analysis technique describing the data\u27s validity. The validity test results get the following average: the material aspect receives an average of 85.8%, the systematic aspect gets a validity value of 84.3%, the language aspect gets a value of 88.3%, and the graphic aspect receives a value of 89.3%. The average score for all aspects of the assessment is 86.9%. Based on the scores of the three expert validators, it can be concluded that the results of the validation of the Inquiry-Approach Practicum E-Instructions to Improve Critical Thinking in Plant Anatomy Learning are in the very valid category
Design and Development of NeuroAR Media in Nervous System for High School Biology Learning
Nervous system material is often considered difficult by students due to its abstract and complex nature. Augmented Reality (AR) emerges as a technology capable of effectively visualizing objects, particularly in presenting 3D objects interactively and dynamically for abstract and complex concepts. This study aims to develop AR based learning media in the nervous system material that is feasible for use in classroom learning through interactive and dynamic visualizations. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) with research steps referring to the 4D Models, which include the stages of Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. This study was limited to the Development stage because focusing solely on developing and validating the feasibility of NeuroAR without including the Dissemination stage. This study includes an explanation of the identification of learning challenges, and potential use of AR, which is conducted through teacher interviews, classroom observations, and student questionnaires. Then, it explains how planning the content structure, visualizing 3D organs and bioprocesses, designing audio elements, and designing AR-based learning activities and explains how the development stage includes media development using Unity3D, Assemblr Edu, Blender, Canva, and Solidworks. Validation by media and material experts, and readability test by students. The result of this research is the producted of NeuroAR media on nervous system material that has been declared feasible and valid for use in learning, as indicated by the results of material and media expert validation categorized as very valid and the readability test by students which showed a positive response.Nervous system material is often considered difficult by students due to its abstract and complex nature. AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ SPEAKING ANXIETY FACTORS IN DRAMA PERFORMANCE: (A Case Study in Fifth Semester in English Education Department)
Speaking anxiety is one of the fundamental problems that EFL students experience during English learning, especially when they must perform in front of many people. This study found that there are several factors of students’ speaking anxiety that the students experienced, and their strategies to overcome it. This qualitative case study research enrolled 12 students of the fifth semester in the English Education Department of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The research result showed that there are two factors of speaking anxiety that students experienced during drama performance. Those are internal factors (fear of mistakes, lack of confidence) and external factors (embarrassment, friends/classmates, and lack of preparation). After implementing the interview, the result showed that students have some strategies to overcome their speaking anxiety, such as preparation, relaxation, positive thinking, and peer seeking. This research recommends that there are some strategies that students can implement when experiencing speaking anxiety
Representation of teacher communication in the live-action film Assassination Classroom
This study aims to analyze the representation of teacher-student communication in the live-action film Assassination Classroom (2015) using Roland Barthes’ semiotic theory. The research focuses on identifying the denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings constructed through the character of Koro-sensei, who embodies the figure of an ideal teacher. Employing a qualitative method under the constructivist paradigm, the study collects and interprets data from ten key scenes in the film. The findings reveal that Koro-sensei is denotatively portrayed as a non-conventional teacher who engages and empowers marginalized students; connotatively, he represents sacrifice, transformation, and critical engagement with the educational system; mythologically, he reinforces and simultaneously challenges the dominant cultural belief of the teacher as a “hero without reward.” The study concludes that the film blends fantasy and social critique to deliver moral and pedagogical commentary on modern education. The theoretical contribution of this research lies in its advancement of semiotic analysis as a tool for understanding media representations of educators, while its practical relevance highlights the role of film in shaping public perceptions of teaching and educational values. The study encourages further cross-media exploration of teacher myths in global cultural and educational discourse.
