Ragam Qira’ah dalam Surat Qaf: Studi Kritis Tafsir Al-Jamī li Ahkām Al-Qur’an Karya Imam Al-Qurthubi dan Tafsir Muḥarrar Al-Wajīz Karya Imam Ibn Athiyyah
One of the factors contributing to the diversity of Qur\u27anic qira’ah (readings) is the difference in dialects among various Arab tribes, which led Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to teach the Qur\u27an in accordance with the linguistic capabilities of his followers. This diversity did not end in that era alone but continued to attract the attention of scholars across generations. Consequently, a specialized discipline emerged to establish standards for the acceptance of qira’ah, aiming to prevent deviations. This study aims to critically examine the variations of qirāʾāt in Surah Qaf based on two classical tafsir works that extensively address the topic of qirāʾāt. The study employs a qualitative method by comparing the qirāʾāt variations in Surah Qaf from the perspectives of Tafsīr al-Jāmiʿ li Aḥkām al-Qur’ān by Imam al-Qurthubi and Tafsīr al-Muḥarrar al-Wajīz by Imam Ibn ʿAthiyyah. The findings indicate that both exegetes include not only mutawātir qirāʾāt (those with mass transmission) but also shādhdh qirāʾāt (irregular readings), accompanied by explanations for the differences. Furthermore, it is shown that al-Qurthubi tends to include more diverse qirāʾāt compared to Ibn ʿAthiyyah

Protecting Children\u27s Rights in Marriage Dispensation Cases: Evidence from Religious Courts in Indonesia
Abstract: The protection of children\u27s rights is essential to ensure their well-being and development. In Indonesia, Law No. 16 of 2019 raised the minimum marriage age to 19 years, yet marriage dispensation remains an option for underage marriage in exceptional circumstances. This research examines trends in marriage dispensation cases in West Java and their implications for children\u27s rights. The study employs an empirical, philosophical, sociological, and historical juridical approach, analyzing decisions from ten religious courts between 2019 and 2021. Findings reveal a significant increase in marriage dispensation cases after the law\u27s enactment, driven by fears of moral transgressions (87%) and pre-marital pregnancies (8%). Despite legal provisions, 99% of applications were granted, often prioritizing cultural and religious norms over the principle of the child\u27s best interests. This study highlights the need for strengthened judicial oversight and community engagement to align legal practices with protecting children\u27s rights. The findings call for more robust preventive measures and an evaluation of the dispensation process to ensure compliance with the rights-based framework
Strategi perbaikan tanah untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman hortikultura di Kawasan penambangan pasir yang terdegradasi
The addition of ameliorant materials into the soil on former post-rock mining land was identified as one of the potential approaches in improving soil quality. This study aims to determine the effect of ameliorant materials on the growth and yield of horticultural crops. The study used a Randomized Group Design with five treatments and three. Plants used as indicator plants used two types of horticultural crops (spinach and pakcoy). The treatments consisted of KS0 (Control), KS1 (compost at a dose of 10 t ha-1 + biofertilizer 5 ml L-1), KS2 (compost at a dose of 15 t ha-1 + biofertilizer 10 ml L-1), KS3 (compost at a dose of 20 t ha-1 + biofertilizer 15 ml L-1), and KS4 (compost at a dose of 25 t ha-1 + biofertilizer 20 ml L-1). The results of the research showed that the application of ameliorant material had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves and wet weight of pakchoy plants, but had no significant effect on plant root length. Treatment with a compost dose of 15 t ha-1 + biofertilizer 10 ml L-1 (KS2) gave the highest results for the growth of Pakcoy plants. The provision of ameliorant had a significant effect on all observation parameters (plant height, number of leaves, wet weight and root length) of spinach plants, where treatment with a compost dose of 20 t ha-1 + biofertilizer 15 ml L-1 (KS3) gave the highest results on growth Spinach plant. These results imply that the ameliorant used can be used as an alternative in improving the quality of former sand mining land.

Globalization has significantly influenced the practice and role of religion in modern society. On one hand, globalization creates opportunities for religious pluralism, cross-cultural dialogue, and the dissemination of universal values. On the other hand, it also presents challenges such as radicalization, interfaith conflicts, and the process of secularization. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, this article explores how religion functions as both an element of cultural and spiritual identity and a force for social transformation within an ever-changing global landscape. It also discusses the interaction between religion and politics, the role of religion in conflict resolution, and the importance of interfaith dialogue amidst technological advancements. The analysis reveals that religion remains relevant as a means of providing meaning and stability in the globalization era. Moreover, religion holds great potential to serve as a bridge for fostering harmony amidst diversity. Living Religions offers comprehensive insights into how religions adapt to global changes while maintaining the core values of each tradition
Internal Initiative vs External Pressure: Evidence from Halal Standard Adoption in Indonesian Food Small and Medium Industries (SMIs)
This research\u27s focal points are identifying key factors of halal food standards (HFS) in small-medium industries (SMIs) in Padang and exploring the roles of traceability systems in compliance with the halal assurance system (HAS). The sample size included 105 food SMIs in Padang through a survey using questionnaires. The study employed Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) as a data analysis technique. Results demonstrated that external pressure from government regulations and organizational commitment as part of internal initiatives significantly affected HFS adoption, whereas the latter had a stronger effect. Meanwhile, consumer pressure, industrial competition, marketing function, operational improvement, and suppliers had no significant impact. Results also exhibited that HFS adoption and traceability systems had a significant implication for compliance with HAS. The limitation lies in variables related to halal food standard adoption factors. Accordingly, future researchers have to explore the analyzed phenomenon in various research contexts. In sum, the results afford valuable information that is favorable for industries, allowing them to provide better and safer halal food products for consumers. They also indicate that the halal traceability system enables food SMIs to elevate their business and offers a vast potency for further developing halal industries in Indonesia
