    No full text
The increasing complexity of social problems in the digital era demands governments to respond innovatively and swiftly. Jabar Quick Response (JQR), launched by the Governor of West Java, exemplifies an emergency program intended to expedite responses to urgent social and humanitarian issues. This study investigates the implementation of JQR through Edward III’s framework, focusing on communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Employing a qualitative descriptive method with primary data from interviews and observations, and secondary data from official documents, this research analyzes how JQR addresses public complaints and social emergencies. Findings reveal that although the program has achieved significant progress in providing a swift response mechanism, challenges persist, including limited funding, insufficient public awareness, and fragmented coordination among stakeholders. This paper contributes to the discourse on public administration by highlighting the necessity of adaptive governance, collaborative networks, and strategic communication in emergency response programs

Framing Banten\u27s north coastal sea fence as eco-theology and social movement

    No full text
This study analyzes how the sea fence phenomenon on the north coast of Banten is framed differently by national online media (Republika) and local online media (Kabar Banten). Through Robert Entman\u27s framing perspective and social movement theory, this research explores how the two media represent the phenomenon as a manifestation of social movements, religious movements, or a combination of both with eco-theological dimensions. Using a qualitative content analysis approach to 12 news articles published in January 2025, the research found significant differences in framing strategies: Republika tends to construct narratives with moral-religious and ecotheological dimensions attached to social movements, while Kabar Banten emphasizes socio-economic aspects and local community solidarity without explicit religious dimensions. These framing differences not only reflect the media\u27s editorial orientation, but also manifest ideological contestation in representing the relationship between religion, ecology, and social movements in Indonesia. The case of the sea fence illustrates how local environmental resistance is interpreted through distinct ideological lenses, shaped by each media outlet\u27s institutional identity and target audience. Republika’s ecotheological framing not only moralizes environmental activism through Islamic values but also seeks to legitimize community action within a broader spiritual discourse. In contrast, Kabar Banten grounds its reporting in the immediate socio-economic struggles of coastal residents, highlighting the pragmatic and communal aspects of resistance. This juxtaposition reveals the dynamic interplay between national and local narratives in constructing meaning around ecological and religious activism. Ultimately, this study contributes to an understanding of the role of media in shaping public perceptions of ecotheology-based socio-religious movements and demonstrates how media discourse influences community solidarity and environmental consciousness in the digital era

The study looks at how men and women in Southern Pakistan teaching Islamic subjects use AI tools and what impact this has on their digital competencies. Now that AI is used in schools, knowing how gender affects people’s ability to use these tools is necessary for ensuring that digital transformation in religious education is inclusive. There are three main objectives that drove the study. There are three main objectives: to study how AI is influenced by gender among Islamic teachers; to evaluate whether men or women are more skilled in digital use in Islamic education; and to find out whether digital talent rises as a result of using AI in teaching contexts. A survey device, used in conjunction with a quantitative research method, was deployed to collect information from 150 male and 150 female Islamic teachers. Gender differences were studied using descriptive statistics and independent sample t-tests, while multiple regression was carried out to determine if AI use played a role in increasing digital skills. The survey results indicated that males use AI more than females and that the reverse is true for digital tasks. In addition, using AI tools was shown to strongly influence digital competency development in both populations, indicating that this usage can help with greater improvements in digital skills. These results suggest ways in which policymakers, curriculum designers, and educational leaders can enhance digital literacy in religious education, especially among people from disadvantaged areas

    Courses Scheduling using Graph Labeling

    No full text
At the beginning of each academic semester, universities are routinely required to develop course schedules that minimize or eliminate conflicts. Scheduling conflicts typically arise when multiple courses are taught by the same lecturer, taken by the same group of students, or require the use of the same classroom. As a result, an efficient and systematic method is needed to generate conflict-free schedules while optimizing the use of available time slots. One alternative approach is to apply graph theory, particularly graph coloring techniques, to the scheduling process. In this approach, each course is represented as a vertex in a graph, and an edge is established between two vertices if the corresponding courses cannot be held simultaneously. Graph coloring is then used to assign different time slots (represented as colors) to adjacent vertices, ensuring that no conflicting courses are scheduled at the same time. This paper proposes a course scheduling algorithm based on graph coloring, aiming to produce feasible schedules that reduce conflicts and enhance resource utilization. The approach provides a mathematical framework that can support automated and scalable scheduling systems in academic institutions

In the digital era, social media has become the dominant medium for Generation Z in Indonesia to access information and articulate political views, replacing the role of conventional media. A prominent phenomenon is the popularity of the Instagram account @politicaljokesid, which presents political humor and satire and has successfully attracted young audiences in the lead-up to the 2024 General Election. The study employs a quantitative method with a survey design, involving 80 respondents aged 17–28 who are active followers of @politicaljokesid. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using statistical techniques to examine the relationship between exposure to satirical content and political perceptions. The findings indicate that exposure to satire significantly influences the political perceptions of Generation Z. Respondents who actively follow the account tend to display greater interest in political issues and more critical attitudes toward party maneuvers. These results suggest that political satire functions not merely as entertainment but also as an informal means of political education. Theoretically, the article contributes by extending political cue theory into the context of humor-based social media. The conclusion emphasizes that satirical accounts can play a strategic role in shaping the political opinions of young citizens, with broader implications for research on digital political communication and youth political literacy in the information disruption era

Attachment Representations of Psychology Candidates via the Birds Nest Drawing Test: A Mixed-Methods Approach

    No full text
This study aimed to explore the attachment representations of psychology candidates in the context of social and educational development. A mixed-method design was used, combining the Three-Dimensional Attachment Scale for quantitative data and the Bird’s Nest Drawing Test for qualitative insights. Participants were 122 senior-year psychology students. No significant correlation was found between drawing scores and attachment subscales. However, many drawings included symbols such as parent and baby birds, eggs, and realistic coloring, often with nests placed on trees, cliffs, or hands—suggesting emotional needs for safety and care. Green, while generally symbolizing growth, appeared infrequently. Occasionally, symbols like the sun or animals suggested hope or emotional ambiguity. Content analysis revealed two themes: a “positive” theme reflecting family warmth and support, and a “negative” theme indicating anxiety and insecurity. These results offer symbolic insight into how future mental health professionals express attachment, highlighting emotional development and their relational understanding

    No full text
Dakwah as an Islamic propagation activity faces significant challenges in the contemporary era, particularly regarding human rights, pluralism, and gender issues. This research analyzes dakwah adaptation to modern ethical dynamics and the relevance of Islamic principles in providing constructive solutions. Employing a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study combines textual analysis of the Qur\u27an and hadiths with contemporary literature review and in-depth interviews with five active da\u27i and two Islamic studies academics. The research focuses on identifying ethical challenges in dakwah and exploring Islamic principles as guidance. Findings demonstrate that dakwah integrating universal Islamic values—justice, compassion, and respect for fellow beings—can synergize with human rights and pluralism principles, creating an inclusive social environment. Gender equality implementation in dakwah, through recognition of women\u27s roles and contributions, strengthens women\u27s positions without contradicting Islamic teachings. The research\u27s practical implications provide guidance for da\u27i to adopt more adaptive and contextual approaches, including inclusive language usage, constructive dialogue toward differences, and deep understanding of contemporary social issues. Thus, Islamic dakwah can maintain its relevance while contributing positively to building a just, harmonious, and civilized society.Dakwah is a crucial element in the dissemination of Islamic teachings; however, in the modern era, it faces complex ethical challenges, including human rights, pluralism, and gender issues. This study aims to analyze how da\u27wah can adapt to contemporary ethical dilemmas and how Islamic principles can be applied to provide solutions. The focus of this research includes two primary questions: (1) What are the ethical challenges currently faced in dakwah? (2) How can Islamic principles guide the response to these challenges? A qualitative research method was employed, utilizing textual analysis of the Qur\u27an and Hadith as primary sources. The findings indicate that a da\u27wah approach that emphasizes human rights and pluralism can foster a more inclusive social environment. Furthermore, the application of gender equality principles within da\u27wah can strengthen women\u27s positions in society. The impact of this research is to provide new insights for preachers and da\u27wah activists in conveying Islamic messages that are relevant and responsive to contemporary issues, ultimately contributing to the creation of a more just and harmonious society
