The Failure of R2P and POC in the Case of the Genocide of the Palestinian People by Israel in the Period 2023-2025
Get PDFThe Responsibility to Protect (R2P) and Protection of Civilians (POC) are policies formulated by the United Nations (UN), particularly by the UN Security Council, aimed at preventing and addressing severe crimes against humanity, including genocide, war crimes, and ethnic cleansing. Nevertheless, these two mechanisms were not effectively applied in the instance of genocide faced by the Palestinian people at the hands of Israel during the years 2023 to 2025. This article seeks to explore the reasons behind the unsuccessful implementation of R2P and POC in this scenario. Employing the Causal Process Tracing methodology, researchers will investigate the underlying causes of this failure, ranging from the conceptual dimensions of R2P and POC to the political factors involving the geopolitics of various significant actors. The findings of the study reveal that this failure was significantly shaped by the political supremacy of the permanent members of the Security Council, especially the exercise of veto power by the United States in favor of Israel, which obstructed the formation of an international consensus regarding R2P and POC. These results suggest that the UN, as an international body, lacks the complete authority to enforce R2P and POC, as it remains profoundly affected by political agendas, thereby resulting in a persistent imbalance in the protection of victims of crimes against humanity in Palestine that has endured for many years
Digital Political Communication and Civic Learning: How YouTube Transforms Political Education and Democracy in Indonesia
Get PDFThis study examines how Kaesang Pangarep\u27s YouTube channel functions as an informal political education space for Indonesian youth. Employing directed content analysis supported by Python computational tools and the YouTube Data API, the research analyzes 45 videos and over 150,000 audience comments from September 2023 to June 2024. Data were coded using three analytical dimensions: strategic branding, educational function, and engagement. The findings demonstrate that Kaesang constructs an accessible political identity through humor and political education. The use of humor helps translate complex political issues into comprehensible narratives. Videos with humorous approaches achieve a viewer retention rate of 72%, significantly higher than conventional political videos, which average only 54%. Comment analysis reveals that audiences not only enjoy the content but also understand political issues and engage in meaningful discussions. The study concludes that YouTube can serve as an effective platform for political education, although it depends on engagement metrics that sometimes prioritize entertainment over depth of understanding
Strategic Approaches of Islamic Banks in Developing Digital Murabahah: Evidence from Mandailing Natal
Get PDFThis paper examines the adoption of Digital Murabahah in Mandailing Natal within the broader context of digital transformation in Islamic banking, emphasizing its potential to enhance financial accessibility while maintaining Sharia compliance. Although digital initiatives have rapidly advanced in major Islamic financial institutions, limited attention has been given to their development in regional and rural contexts, creating a significant research gap in understanding localized implementation challenges. Addressing this gap, the study investigates the key barriers and strategic solutions for developing Sharia-compliant digital financing at the regional level. This study contributes novelty by focusing on regional Islamic banking dynamics, an area often overlooked in existing research dominated by large-scale banking contexts. Using a qualitative approach, this research draws on secondary data from Islamic banking reports, regulatory documents, and recent academic studies, supported by comparative case analyses of Islamic banks implementing Digital Murabahah. The findings reveal that limited digital infrastructure, low customer literacy, and complex regulatory frameworks impede adoption, with larger Islamic banks advancing faster than regional ones. The study contributes to existing literature by providing a region-specific analysis of digital Islamic finance transformation and proposing a strategic framework that integrates fintech collaboration, customer education, and adaptive regulatory support. It concludes that a gradual transition through hybrid banking models—aligned with technological readiness and regulatory reform—is crucial for strengthening financial inclusion and ensuring the sustainable growth of Islamic banking in regional economies

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Dalam upaya pemberdayaan perempuan dan anak ada beberapa program, yaitu : PEKKA (Pemberdayaan PerempuanKepala Keluarga dan KLA (Kabupaten Layak Anak). Hasil dari program tersebut yakni memiliki penghasilan tambahan, kemampuan berfikir kritis, memiliki keterampilan lain, dapat mengemukakan aspirasi mereka sebagai seorang perempuan dan anak.Kata Kunci : Pemberdaayan, PEKKA, KLAThis research aims to identify and analyze programs that has been implemented by P3A Tasikmalaya District in the context of empowering women and children, describes in detail how the women and children empowerment program is carried out by P3A Tasikmalaya District and knows the success of P3A Tasikmalaya District in empowering women and children. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. In an effort to empower women and children, there are several programs, namely: PEKKA (Empowerment of Women Heads of Families and KLA (Child Friendly Districts). Kualitas Layanan dan Kepuasan Jamaah Masjid melalui Pendekatan Model SERVQUAL
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the effect of service quality on mosque congregational satisfaction using the SERVQUAL model. This research approach is quantitative. The study sample consisted of 120 respondents, and data analysis was performed using SmartPLS version 3.0. The results show that service quality significantly affects congregational satisfaction with an R² value of 0.6677. The dimensions of tangible, reliability, and responsiveness have a positive and significant influence, while assurance and empathy have no effect. The responsiveness dimension is the dominant factor in shaping congregational satisfaction, which emphasizes the importance of the mosque management\u27s promptness and speed in providing service
Eco and CFA Franc: Continuation or Rupture of Colonial Legacies in Postcolonial Monetary Sovereignty?
Get PDFCFA has been created in 1945 by colonial France. CFA has stood for Colonies Françaises d’Afrique with fourteen West African countries. The West African space is divided in two zones: the West African Economic and Monetary Community called WAEMU (UEMOA in French), and the Central African Economic and Monetary Community also known as CAEMC or CEMAC in English. CFA has been guaranteed by the French Treasury and pegged by the euro. It was partially governed by colonial France. In Contrast, Eco refers to a single currency that the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) proposed for the economic integration and monetary independence in West Africa. In opposition to CFA, the Eco has been designed as decoupled from the institutions of France. The latter reflects pan-African economic identity and ideology. The objective of the present paper is to analyze the representation of neocolonialism in reference to the two economic currencies. Efektivitas Konseling Logoterapi Islami dalam Meningkatkan Penerimaan Diri Anak Broken Home
No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh bimbingan spiritual terhadap tingkat kepatuhan Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan (WBP) dalam mengikuti program bebas bersyarat di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Narkotika Kelas IIA Bandung. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 47 WBP dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berbasis skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan spiritual berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat kepatuhan WBP dalam mengikuti program bebas bersyarat dengan nilai signifikansi < 0,05, yang berarti hipotesis alternatif (H₁) diterima. (R²) 56,6% menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan spiritual memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap variabel kepatuhan.

Layanan Konseling Islami melalui Pendekatan REBT untuk Mengatasi Pelanggaran Siswa terhadap Larangan Merokok
No full textPelanggaran merokok di sekolah menjadi masalah serius karena selain melanggar aturan juga berdampak negatif pada kesehatan dan perilaku siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kondisi pelanggaran merokok, layanan konseling Islami melalui pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), serta hasil penerapannya. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap satu guru BK dan dua siswa pelanggar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konseling Islami dengan pendekatan REBT efektif menyadarkan siswa dari pemikiran irasional, mengubah keyakinan keliru menjadi rasional, sehingga perilaku siswa lebih positif dan pelanggaran merokok dapat diminimalisasi.

Implementasi Bimbingan Pranikah dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Berumah Tangga
No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan bertujuan untuk mengimplementasi implementasi bimbingan pranikah dalam meningkatkan kualitas rumah tangga di KUA Kecamatan Solokan Jeruk, Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivis melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Teori Landasan mengacu pada Teori Perkembangan Keluarga Evelyn Duvall dan Teori Client-Centered Carl R. Rogers untuk menelaah kesiapan psikososial calon pengantin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan pranikah dilaksanakan secara sistematis dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, dan simulasi kasus. Program ini meningkatkan pemahaman peserta mengenai konsep keluarga sakinah, kesiapan mental, keterampilan komunikasi, serta perencanaan ekonomi keluarga. Temuan tersebut menegaskan bahwa bimbingan pranikah berperan signifikan dalam membentuk keharmonisan keluarga dan menekan potensi perceraian di wilayah Solokan Jeruk.

Penyusunan Model Cryptocurrency yang Sesuai Syariah
No full textThis study discusses a cryptocurrency model that is in accordance with Islamic sharia principles. The study was conducted using a qualitative method involving interviews with experts in digital technology and Islamic finance, as well as secondary data analysis from various literatures. The results of the study show differences in the views of scholars regarding the permissibility of cryptocurrency, where some state it is halal, some are haram, and others are neutral. The elements that make cryptocurrencycontroversial in sharia include uncertainty, excessive speculation, and the absence of supporting assets. This study offers a halal cryptocurrency model that is free from gharar, maysir, has supporting assets, is under the supervision of sharia authorities, is transparent, safe, free from usury, and is supported by fatwas. This model aims to provide a halal alternative for Muslims in transacting using modern cryptocurrency technology
