Study of Feeding period on Mineral Balance in Young Female Rats.
P(論文)The effect of feeding period on calcium (Ca) utilization in rats fed on the same experimental design was investigated. The food efficiency varied with the difference of trial period. The deviation of balance test that starting time is different has shown significant difference of Ca absorption, urinary Ca excretion and Ca retention. The weight of kidney and its Ca content varied according to the difference of trial period. The Ca utilization was affected by the difference of feeding period in the same protocol.departmental bulletin pape
Studies on the Chemical Changes of "Tenobe Somen" during storage.
P(論文)Preparations of "Tenobe Somen" (a kind of japanese noodle) were stored at three different relative humidities (RH 31.5%, 57.3%, 81.7%) and two different temperatures (10℃, 20℃) for four months. And physical properties of preparations were estimated. In the boiled noodle, preparation stored at RH 81.7% and 20℃ indicated the highest tensile strength. Fatty acid composition of preparation stored at RH 81.7% and 20℃ was somewhat different from that of original cotton seed oil. And SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoretic pattern of preparation stored at RH 81.7% and 20℃ indicated the increase of small molecular weight protein component.departmental bulletin pape
Sorption Isotherm Analysis of Water by Hydrophilic Polymer Composed of Different Adsorption Sites Using Modified BET Equation
P(論文)In this study, two typical modeling samples composed of vinyl acetate (VAc) and vinyl alcohol (VA) copolymer were prepared in order to investigate the relationship between polymer structure and water uptake. One consisted of homogeneously acetvlated samples in which the hydroxyl group and acetoxyl group were distributed randomly, and the other consisted of the heterogeneously acetylated samples which were composed of block copolymer of poly(VA) and poly(VAc-VA). The sorption isotherms of water vapor by those samples with various contents of hydroxyl and acetoxyl groups were measured. The BET adsorption theory was modified for the system which has two different kinds of energy levels in water adsorption sites, that is, a hydroxyl group and an acetoxyl group, and applied in order to analyze the obtained sorption isotherms. The homogeneously acetylated VAc/VA copolymer was amorphous polymer, and the heterogeneously acetylated VAc/VA copolymer was a partially crystallized polymer. The number of adsorption sites in the homogeneously acetylated samples was larger than that in the heterogeneously acetylated sample. On the other hand, the interaction energy between the hydroxyl group and water in the heterogeneously acetylated sample was much larger than that in the homogeneously acetylated sample based on examination with the modified BET equation. These results imply that the poly (vinyl alcohol) crystal has a high adsorption energy.departmental bulletin pape
Effect of Dietary Protein and Fat Intakes on Contents of Body Adipose in Rats
P(論文)This study was performed to observe the effect of dietary protein and fat intake on body adipose contents of young female rats. Rats fed on high fat diet increased contents of intestine membrane fat and brown fat without relationship to protein intake, and also liver weight increased. Rats fed on high protein diet decreased contents of brown fat and posterior belly fat without relationship to fat intake, and carcass weight decreased, too. The content of perirenal fat was reduced by either of high protein or low fat diet. Rats fed on low protein diet showed higher triglyceride levels in serum. With regard to all value, there was no interaction between protein and fat intakedepartmental bulletin pape
