On the Maximal Cardinality of Binary Two-weight Codes

This bound is used to settle recent conjectures on the maximal cardinality of an (n,{2,d})‒code. RG Hyperparameter Optimization Approach for Improved Indirect Prediction of Blood Glucose Levels by Boosting Ensemble Learning
Get PDFThis paper proposes an RG hyperparameter optimization approach, based on a sequential use of random search (R) and grid search (G), for improving the blood glucose level prediction of boosting ensemble learning models. An indirect prediction of blood glucose levels in patients is performed, based on historical medical data collected by means of physical examination methods, using 40 human body’s health indicators. The conducted experiments with real clinical data proved that the proposed RG double optimization approach helps improve the prediction performance of four state-of-the-art boosting ensemble learning models enriched by it, achieving 1.47% to 24.40% MSE improvement and 0.75% to 11.54% RMSE improvement.National Key Research and Development Program of China under the Grant No. 2017YFE0135700 and the Bulgarian National Science Fund (BNSF) under the Grant No. КП-06-ИП-КИТАЙ/1 (КP-06-IP-CHINA/1

Дълги години обектът е недостъпен, защото попада зад граничното заграждение, в "ничията" зона между България и Турция. Обектът обаче присъства с причудливи легенди в местния комплекс от фолклорни наративи. Проучван е от няколко археологически експедиции, "доукрасяван" от лаици с екзотични и модернистични истории от фентъзи-тип, а днес е напълно достъпен за посещения от страна на обикновени и поклоннически туристи. Много легенди го превръщат в една от големите гордости, но и големите грижи на Малкотърновска община.The sanctuary in the area Mishkova Niva near the town of Malko Tarnovo is an ancient object of our cultural heritage. For many years the site is inaccessible because it falls behind the border enclosure, in the nobody area between Bulgaria and Turkey. However, the site is present with bizarre legends in the local complex of folk narratives. It has been studied by several archaeological expeditions, adorned by Laitsi with exotic and modernist stories of fantasy-type, and today it is fully accessible for visits by ordinary and pilgrimage tourists. Many legends turn it into one of the big prides, but also the great care of the Malkotrnovska municipality

Get PDFHeart rate variability (HRV) is a non-invasive marker for monitoring the physiological condition of patients and assisting in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the consistency between HRV parameters based on photoplethysmographic (PPG) and electrocardiographic (ECG) signals. Parameters from the linear analysis in the time domain were studied. The time domain indices are standardized and widely used to calculate HRV. These indices are statistical and geometric measurements. The statistical calculations of the successive heart rate intervals (RR interval series) are strictly interrelated (SDNN, SDANN, RMSSD, pNN50), while geometric measurements are based on TINN and HRVTi parameters. The ECG and PPG signals of a healthy individual were examined. The obtained results show a very good agreement between the HRV parameters obtained from the two types of signals. In view of this finding, it can be concluded that the PPG offers an alternative ECG option for HRV analysis without compromising accuracy. The correspondence between the studied parameters applied to the two types of signals provides potential support for the idea of using PPG instead of ECG in the extraction and analysis of HRV in outpatient cardiac monitoring of healthy individuals and patients with cardiovascular disease. A study of two groups of individuals: healthy and with cardiovascular disease based on PPG signals by applying the method: analysis in the time domain. Организирането на процеса на проектиране (създаване на концепция за играта) и разработване (производството на продукта) на сериозните образователни игри е трудоемък и отговорен процес. От съществено значение също така се оказва за потребителите изборът на игрален дизайн и модела на играта. Контекстът, в който се играе и използва сериозната игра е от значение за получените резултати. В доклада са обсъдени и разграничени отделните фази на проектиране, разработване, внедряване и оценка на създаваната сериозна игра. Отделено е внимание на методите и подходите при създаване на сериозни образователни игри.The report presents the processes of interaction between the creators of serious educational games and the users (pupils, students) who use them in the process of their learning (real and online). Organizing the process of designing (creating a concept for the game) and developing (producing the product) the serious educational games is a laborious and responsible process. The choice of game design and game model also proves to be essential for consumers. The context in which the serious game is played and used is important for the results obtained. The report discusses and distinguishes the different phases of design, development, implementation and evaluation of the created serious game.
