Get PDFСтъклописът от средата на XX век до наши дни бележи началото на период, в който се създават интересни примери, зависещи най-много от архитектурната среда. Изкуството на витража процъфтява, когато романската архитектура отстъпва място на готиката и загубва мястото си в пищната орнаментация на барока и рококо. Чистите линии и конструктивните новости на архитектурата на ХХ и ХIХ век, основаващи се на стоманата и бетона, предоставят на майстора стъклописец нови възможности, каквито не е имало преди. Спецификата и нововъведенията в съвременното витражно изкуство, водят до многобройни експерименти и търсения, съпътстващи неизменно в работата днешните художници витражисти. По пътя на своето търсене те използват за основа всички възможности на стъклото, като умело развиват технически и технологически витража и обогатяват неговото модерно артистично звучене.The 20th century stained-glass window marks the beginning of a period of outstanding creativity, providing interesting examples that depend most on the architectural environment. The art of the stained glass flourishes when the Romanesque architecture gives way to the Gothic and loses its place in the splendid ornamentation of the Baroque and Rococo. The clean lines and constructive novelties of the 20th century architecture, based on steel and concrete, give the stained glass artists new opportunities that have never been before. The specifics and innovations in contemporary stained glass works lead to numerous experiments and questions that accompany the work of today's stained glass artists. On the way to their research, they use as a basis all the possibilities of the glass, by skillfully developing the technicality and the technology of the stained glass and enriching its modern artistic sound with success

Hybrid Classification/Regression Approach to QSAR Modeling of Stoichiometric Antiradical Capacity Assays' Endpoints
Get PDFQuantitative structure-activity relationships (QSAR) are a widely used methodology allowing not only a better understanding of the mechanisms of chemical reactions, including radical scavenging, but also to predict the relevant properties of chemical compounds without their synthesis, isolation and experimental testing. Unlike the QSAR modeling of the kinetic antioxidant assays, modeling of the assays with stoichiometric endpoints depends strongly on the number of hydroxyl groups in the antioxidant molecule, as well as on some integral molecular descriptors characterizing the proportion of OH-groups able to enter and complete the radical scavenging reaction. In this work, we tested the feasibility of a "hybrid" classification/regression approach, consisting of explicit classification of individual OH-groups as involved in radical scavenging reactions, and using further the number of these OH-groups as a descriptor in simple-regression QSAR models of antiradical capacity assays with stoichiometric endpoints. A simple threshold classification based on the sum of trolox-equivalent antiradical capacity values was used, selecting OH-groups with specific radical stability- and reactivity-related electronic parameters or their combination as "active" or "inactive". We showed that this classification/regression modeling approach provides a substantial improvement of the simple-regression QSAR models over those built on the number of total phenolic OH-groups only, and yields a statistical performance similar to that of the best reported multiple-regression QSARs for antiradical capacity assays with stoichiometric endpoints.Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science under the National Research Programme “Healthy Foods for a Strong Bio-Economy and Quality of Life”(DCM #577/17.08.2018)

Get PDFThis article analyses methods and approaches for assessing heart rate variability (HRV). One of the approaches is to study the impact of sports, in particular running athletics on HRV. As a result of the research, it was found that sports increase HRV by increasing the sympathetic share. The HRV method is influenced by various factors: diseases, external factors, physiological and lifestyle factors. Those that influence the athletic achievements of athletes are also considered. The impact of stress on HRV can be studied by creating 3D serious games to simulate various stressful situations and to study their impact on HRV. The article presents virtual reality systems, which are of two types: with immersion and without immersion and their application in the study of HRV. It follows from the analysis that the level of sympathetic tone in the analysis of HRV using virtual reality depends on the degree of immersion. Another approach to assessing HRV is to monitor patients at night to determine parasympathetic tone of the autonomic nervous system. For the accurate analysis of HRV, the mathematical methods used are important, which are mainly divided into linear and nonlinear.
