The Use of a Modelling & Simulation Tier by the EMULSION IoT Platform
This paper presents some design aspects of the EMULSION IoT platform, developed as a typical example of the horizontal IoT platforms. The architectural overview and multi-tiered structure of the platform are described, with special attention being paid to its modelling & simulation tier as a novel architectural element proposed for inclusion in similar IoT platforms. Used to model cyber-physical-social (CPS) objects and IoT services, along with their attributes and temporal/spatial/event characteristics, this tier is also utilized to simulate the actual provision of IoT services in order to determine the optimal configuration of the platform in each particular use case, by solving complex optimization tasks. Some Notes on the Four-parameter Kies Distribution
This short note is inspired by the work of [1] which is devoted on the four-parameter Kies distribution. Some of the results presented in this seminal paper need to be clarified. Информативные возможности материалов по истории народов Юго–Восточной Европы на сайте "Казачество ХV–ХХІ вв."
В статье на основе электронной источниковедческой базы исследования истории южноукраинских казацких войск последней четверти ХVІІІ века (сайт "Казачество ХV–ХХІ вв.") рассматривается история тесной взаимосвязи украинского казачества с событиями политической, экономической жизни и национально-освободительных соревнований народов Молдовы, Румынии (Валахии и Северной Добруджи), Болгарии, Греции, Албании, Сербии, Турции, Польши, Австрии. Вместе с тем определяются малоисследованные темы судеб запорожцев и казаков-выходцев из Юго-Восточной Европы в составе иррегулярных формирований после 1775 года. Ставится вопрос о введении в научный оборот материалов архивных собраний Австрии, Румынии, Болгарии, Греции, Сербии, Хорватии, Турции для создания всесторонних обобщающих исследований по рассматриваемой проблематике.An article, written on the basis of an electronic source base for researching the history of the South Ukrainian Cossack army in the last quarter of the 18th century (website "Cossacks of the ХV–ХХІ centuries"), examines the history of the close relationship of the Ukrainian Cossacks with the events of political and economic life and the national liberation competitions of the peoples of Moldova, Romania (Wallachia and Northern Dobruja), Bulgaria, Greece, Albania, Serbia, Turkey, Poland, Austria. At the same time, little-studied topics of the fate of the Zaporozhian Cossacks and Cossacks from South-Eastern Europe as part of irregular formations after 1775. The question is raised about the introduction of materials into scientific circulation from archival collections of Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Croatia, Turkey in order to create comprehensive generalizing studies on the issues under consideration
Методи на нелинейната динамика за анализ на вариабилността на сърдечната честота
The heart rate variability (HRV) analysis, based on the methods of nonlinear dynamics, can provide important information for the physiological interpretation of the functioning of the cardiovascular system and assess the risk of its pathology. The article presents methods for nonlinear analysis of HRV, united in the following groups: fractal, multifractal, graphical and informational. The application of the methods of nonlinear dynamics in the study of the information characteristics of HRV in order to distinguish healthy subjects from sick ones is an important topic from the point of view of the application of the information technologies in the field of non-invasive cardiology. After determining the values of the studied parameters with the developed software and for the distinction of the two studied groups of subjects (healthy controls and patients with arrhythmia) statistical analysis was applied. The statistical analysis was performed by t-test and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis. ROC curves are constructed and the area under the curves is calculated, on the basis of which the quality of the studied methods is evaluated. The results reported in this study may be useful in classifying the states of electrocardiographic signals and serve as a landmark for comparing healthy individuals to individuals with cardiovascular disease. The high information content of the used nonlinear methods for HRV analysis opens perspectives for their future use in the diagnosis and prognosis of cardiovascular diseases.Научното изследване е проведено като част от проекта „Изследване на приложението на нови математически методи за анализ на кардиологични данни“ № КП-06-Н22/5 от 07.12.2018 г., финансиран от Фонд „Научни Изследвания“

In this paper we present the need for build systems for generating independent software. The main focus of the paper is the CMake build system that is most appropriate for building and managing large scale projects in C/C++. The system allows the development of software independent from the platform. Изследване на влиянието на параметрите на движението върху к.п.д. на правотоков двигател за колесен мобилен робот
The thematic is in the engineering (mechatronics) branch, with application in the mobile robotics. In the article have been examined: the mechanical energy at motion and its corresponding electrical consumption, as they define the energy effectiveness for the mechatronics system of a vehicle. There have been analysed dependencies, defined by the physics, in order to find out the demands, imposed on the construction "battery, electrical motor, gearing and drive wheels". The goal criterion is the achieved mileage with a single battery charge, which is determined by the dependencies "electrical consumption versus torque versus speed" at any actual motor type. The robot's dynamics parameters (weight, friction at movement, terrain slope, maximal speed and acceleration) appear as input data. Combinations between model parameters have been made, in order to be determined the optimal energy indicators as well as to choose the appropriate direct- current motor. This research uses a relatively small set of empirical physics coefficients and it can be used as an effortless methodology in some lecture notes on the mechatronics of a small wheeled mobile robot

Калиграфията и нейното въздействие върху човека. Съвременни проблеми и бъдещо развитие
В ерата на дигитализация срещаме все по-рядко ръчно изписания текст. Голяма част от нашите разговори, мисли и идеи се визуализират чрез различните дигитални медии, а понякога пиктограмите и кратките видеа изместват писаното слово. Този тип комуникация води до най-различни проблеми, като загуба на концентрация, забавя се мисловния процес и се затруднява плавното и гладко словесно изразяване. Това е особено изразено при учениците и подрастващите. В този контекст калиграфията намира специално място, като доказано и утвърдено средство за засилване на личностните качества. В настоящия доклад ще обърна внимание на позитивното въздействие на калиграфията върху тези които я практикуват, както и за нейното бъдещо развитие в дигиталните среди.In the age of digitalization, we less often find handwritten text. Much of our conversations, thoughts and ideas are visualized through various digital media, and sometimes pictograms and short videos substitute the written word. This type of communication leads to a variety of problems, such as loss of concentration, slowing down the thought process and making it difficult to speak fluently and smoothly. This is especially noticeable in students and adolescents. In this context, calligraphy finds a special place as a proven and established means of strengthening personal qualities. In this report, I will focus on the positive impact of calligraphy on those who practice it, as well as on its future development in digital environments
