A Tentative Study of General-Purpose Ability in the Workplaces Adaptable to the Artificial Intelligence Technologies
This paper clarifies two issues. One is how technological innovation such as AI (Artificial Intelligence) affects the industrial society. The other is what kind of General-Purpose Ability we will need in the changing business environment. The analysis is as follows. First, it surveys technological innovation historically, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. Second, it defines general purpose ability, considering prior studies. Third, as a tentative study it suggests three abilities which will be more important for the modern workers: "ability to interact", "service orientation", and "added value creativity". Finally, based on the above, this paper suggests the role of liberal arts education in the university.departmental bulletin pape
Brownian motion and atomic theory
アインシュタインによるブラウン運動の理論とその実験的検証は原子論成立の要となった。原子論がどのように生まれ、現代の原子という概念が確立されたか、歴史的経緯を踏まえて記述した。Einstein's theory of Brownian motion is a cornerstone in the establishment of the modern atomic theory. In this paper, we review historical background of atomic theory and how important role Brownian motion plays in development and understanding of atomic theory. Einstein's relation formulated in analysis of Brownian motion contributes development of non·equilibrium statistical mechanics. Analysis of the high purity and quality red pigment "Beni''isolated from Carthamus tinctorius L. for cosmetic rouge taking by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy
笹色金属光沢であることを既に報告している伝統的化粧紅成分carthaminの分子レベルでの構造を解明する目的で、伝統的抽出精製法を化学的に精査し、伝統的紅原料紅餅、灰汁、酸成分の化学分析を行い、再現性よくcarthamin精製に成功した.適切な処理により安定に測定を達成し、カリウムを約10%含むcarthaminの1H、13C-NMR シグナルの完全帰属を達成したIn order to elucidate molecular structure of carthamin, the global traditional cosmetic red ingredient that has a green metallic luster, the conditions and all natural materials of the traditional extraction and purification method from the fermented safflower petals (Benimochi) was chemically analyzed with varied instruments ii) detail. Carthamin was purified excellent in dispersion stability with sufficient reproducibility. And complete assignment of 1H and 13C-NMR signals on carthamin molecules was achieved.departmental bulletin pape
Optical Characteristics of Metallic Luster generated from Non-metallic Materials
Al、スライドガラス、シリコンウエハー、黒鉛、ベニバナ赤色色素膜の光沢の質の違いを明らかにするために、偏光反射特性を検討した。金属元素 を含まない、シリコンウエハー、黒鉛、ベニバナ赤色色素膜から金属光沢が認められた。さらに偏光反測定により、黒鉛とベニバナ赤色色素膜の 偏光度に大きな違いがあることが明らかとなった。Quality of metallic luster was evaluated by polarized reflectance measurements for Al mirror,slide glass, Si wafer, HOPG and Safflower red pigment in the study. Metallic luster was observed from non-metallic materials such as Si, HOPG and Safflower red pigment. As the results of Fresnel reflectance measurements, it was found that there was a large difference in the degree of polarization between HOPG (20% at 60°) and Safflower red pigment (76% at 60°).departmental bulletin pape

The purpose of this study is to consider the new education system suggested by Japanese Government. The system is called Society 5.0. In Chapter one, Ueno discusses the role of mathematics in STEM education, which includes the construction of mathematical models and programming for problem solving. In future mathematics education, it is necessary to remove the barrier between the humanities and sciences, and to have an attitude of cooperation and collaboration between different fields. In addition, it is important for school teachers and researchers to share a philosophy that does not take too much of the grade data by setting short-term goals and long-term goals in a well-balanced manner. In chapter two, Ozawa considers the relationship between humans, education, and technology in future society, based on E.H.Erikson's insight into human development, who described the psychosocial crisis and the "virtue" in each psychosocial deveiopmental stage. The core role of the teacher in the learners' school age is to observe the "competence light" in the mind of the learner and to be careful not to turn it off. Bernardo Bertolucci, one of the most important Italian filmmakers in the post-Neorearismo era, was considered as a successor of Pier Paolo Pasolini and Jean-Luc Godard. Bertolucci’s Il conformista(1970), based on the novel by Alberto Moravia, is his first international success film, in which he tries to assassinate his symbolic father Godard and his revolutionary films. Though T. Ray Optics and Quaternion
四元数(Quaternion) は1843年10月16日、IrelandのWilliam Rowan Hamiltonによって考案された、ベクトルに似た“数(number)”である。
四元数の代数( Quaternion algebra)は、光線追跡においては大変有用な計算手法であるが、一般的には馴染みがなく、あまり知られてはいない。
本論文では、四元数が光線光学において、いかに便利であるかを具体的な例を挙げながら説明する。Quaternion was invented by William Rowan Hamilton in 1843. Quaternion is a number similar to vector. Although the quaternion algebra is very useful in Ray optics, it is not familiar to us. Quaternion and its algebra are introduced in the paper. Search and proposal of a method for gesture control of an aerial display ‐Production of game art using aerial display‐
Just 20 years ago, the aerial display, which was an expression of the future in movies and animation games, can now be expressed using various materials and methods. Development of a control device to operate artificial muscles using fishing lines
既存の電動義手には柔軟性に乏しい、駆動音がする、重いといった問題がある。これらの問題を解決する方法としてアクチュエータに人工筋肉を使用するということが考えられる。人工筋肉には様々な種類があるが、近年注目されているのはMITのHainesらのグループが発表した釣り糸人工筋肉である。この人工筋肉は高出力、低コスト、高い量産性を持つが、動作方法についてはまだ確立されていない。本研究ではペルチェ素子を用いた制御装置を製作し、市販されているロボットハンドに釣り糸人工筋肉と制御装置を組み込み、動作検証を行なった。Existing electric prostheses have problems such as poor flexibility, driving noise, and heavy weight.It is conceivable to use artificial muscles instead of electric motors for actuator as a method to solve these problems. Recently, the artificial muscles made by fishing line has attracted attention among the various types of artificial muscles. This artificial muscle has high power, low cost and high productivity, but its operation method has not been established yet. We developed a thermal control device using a peltier element and incorporated a method of twisting fishing lines as artificial muscles.We used it for actuator in robot hand.
