    The Cold Resistance of Hedera helix L., based on the Interrelations between Plant Surface Temperature and Cultivation Environments

    ヘデラ・ヘリックス(Hedera helix L.)の耐寒性の栽培育成条件による違い,および植物体の部位による低温感受性の違いを明らかにするために赤外線サーモグラフィ装置による植物体表面温度の解析を含めた一連の生育実験を行った。その結果,植物の耐寒性の度合,つまり最低致死温度等は空気温で表示するのではなく,植物体表面温度で示すことが望ましいこと,またへデラ属植物の耐寒性は温室,露地という栽培環境の違いや栄養条件の違いにはあまり左右されず,風と急激な気温の低下によって影響を受けること,さらには植物体の部位によっても低温感受性は異なることなどが示唆された。This study's experiments exemplified how cultivation environment, nutritional management and cold winter climate affected the cold resistance of Hedera helix L. Infrared Thermography was utilized as an analyzing apparatus to exemplify how the sensitivity response to low temperature changed in each part of the plants. Consequently, thermal properties determined by the lethal low temperature which indicates cold resistance were not measured by the air temperature but by the surface temperature of plants. Regardless of cultivation environments, i.e., the nutritional condition and whether the plants were grown outdoors, or in green house, there were no differences in the cold resistance of Hedera helix L. However, the temperature of the plant surface was lowered steeply by a swirling fan wind simulating a cold winter wind. Hence, the leaves and shoots of the plants had obviously reached the necrosis level.     Powdery Mildews and Their Causal Fungi on Some Spice and Medicinal Plants

    ローズマリー(シソ科)とチョウセンアサガオ(ナス科)にわが国では未記録のうどんこ病の発生がみられた。さらに,ユーカリノキ(フトモモ科)に未同定菌による同病の発生が観察されたので,それらの菌の同定を試みた。3宿主植物上の菌はすべてアナモルフのみであったが,ユーカリノキとチョウセンアサガオでは分生子の形成状態で容易に識別できるEuoidium型とPseudoidium型の2菌が認められた。形態的特徴よりユーカリノキ上のEuoidium型菌はSphaerotheca aphanis var. aphanisと同定され,Pseudoidium型菌は新種とみなされ,Oidium eucalypti-globuliと命名された。ローズマリー上のアナモルフはEuoidium型で,他のシソ科植物に発生するErysiphe galeopsidisの分生子時代によく一致した。チョウセンアサガオ上のEuoidium型菌はErysiphe orontiiのアナモルフと判定されたが,Pseudoidium型菌の所属は特定できなかった。Taxomic examinations of five powdery mildew fungi found on two new host plants in Japan, rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis, fam. Labiatae) and downy thorn apple (Datura metel, fam. Solanaceae), and on blue gum (Eucalyptus globulus, fam. Myrtaceae) on which the causal fungus is still indeterminate in Japan, were carried out. Between two anamorphic types found on blue gum, the fungus of Euoidium type was identified to be Oidium state of Sphaerotheca aphanis var. aphanis. Another one, Pseudoidium type was regarded as a new Oidium species, O. eucalypti-globuli. The fungus of Euoidium type on downy thorn apple was identified with the anamorphic state of Erysiphe orontii, but it was not able to specify that of Pseudoidium type. The anamorph on rosemary morphologically agreed well with that of Erysiphe galeopsidis observed on various plants of the Labiatae.E5KJ00004074204論文Articl

    Microflora in Usual Feces and Hydrous Feces of Rats

    3週齢のSD系雄性ラット12匹を食糞行動を許容した対照区と食糞行動阻止区に6匹ずつ配し,4週間の飼育期間中に,対照区からは普通糞を,食糞行動阻止区からは含水糞を採取し,それぞれの糞の微生物数を測定した。普通糞では含水糞に比べStaphylococciとVeillonellaeが多く,StreptococciとBacteroidaceaeが少ないことが明らかとなった。普通糞と含水糞で微生物叢が異なることは,含水糞に含まれるビタミン類の合成や消費に関わるものと考えられた。Hydrous feces were ingested by rats in coprophagous behavior. Twelve healthy male Sprague-Dawley strain rats (3 weeks old) were divided into a control group (coprophagy-allowed) of 6 rats and a coprophagy-prevented group of 6 rats. The usual feces from the control group and the hydrous feces from the coprophagy-prevented group were collected during 4 weeks of the experimental period. The viable number of microorganisms in the feces was estimated. The numbers of Staphylococci and Veillonellae, in the usual feces were higher than those of the hydrous feces. Furthermore, the numbers of Streptococci and Bacteroidaceae in the usual feces were lower than those of the hydrous feces. The differences of microflora between the usual feces and hydrous feces seemed to relate to the synthesis and consumption of vitamins in hydrous feces.E3KJ00004019088短報Short Communicatio

    Microtitre Plate Enzyme-immunoassay for Determination of Testosterone in Shiba-goat Blood Plasma

    Testosterone-3(E)-carboxymethyloxime-BSAを抗原として作成した抗体,ならびに酵素標識ホルモンとしてTestosterone-3(E)-carboxymethyloxime-peroxidaseを使用し,雄シバヤギにおける血漿中テストステロン濃度の酵素免疫測定法(EIA)を検討した。本実験では高い測定感度が得られる二抗体法を用い,作成した抗血清は,350,000倍に希釈しても使用可能な高い力価を有していた。血漿に10~100pgのテストステロンを添加した添加回収試験では,回収率が平均102.8±2.8%となった。測定内変動係数(N=6)は雄シバヤギ頸静脈血漿で5.08%,精索静脈血漿では7.32%,測定間変動係数(N=6)は,頸静脈血漿で5.74%,精索静脈血漿で6.13%であった。以上の結果から,本方法によって雄シバヤギ血漿中テストステロンの測定が可能となった。Enzymeimmunoassay (EIA) of testosterone was examined in which an individual antibody, and testosterone-peroxidase-conjugate were used for that, was measured in male Shiba-goat plasma. An anti-testosterone-3(E)-carboxymethyloxime-BSA antibody was used as an anti-serum, and testosterone-3(E)-carboxymethyloxime-peroxidase was used as a steroid-enzyme conjugate. The anti-serum was diluted by using 2nd antibody method which could get high measurement sensitivity of 350,000 times. Recovery rates of testosterone for each concentration with the addition of 10~100pg to Shiba-goat plasma were 102.8±2.8% of the averages. Inter-assay coefficient of variation (C.V.) for testosterone level from jugular and testicular vein blood plasma samples were 5.08% and 7.32% respectively, as for intra-assay, they became 5.74% and 6.13%. These results suggest that the EIA method is extremely suitable to measure testosterone concentration in blood plasma of the male Shiba-goat.E1KJ00004019066論文Articl

    本研究は,日本庭園に用いられる庭石をHLSを使ってmm精度の庭石3Dモデル作成を通じて,その計測手順,精度とデータ量の関係,および材料庭石と据付庭石の3Dモデル利用,さらに庭石販売における庭石3Dモデルのオンライン活用の可能性を明らかにすることを目的とする。At PLATEAU, 3D city models are being developed, utilized, and converted into open data, but the parks and green spaces are treated as aerial images without height. Japanese gardens are highly regarded around the world as Japan beauty, so it must be beautiful even in 3D models, but garden stones have complex shapes and surface and each stone is one and only, so realistic 3D modeling has not yet developed and has not been widely used. In this study, we used a handy laser scanner used in reverse engineering to test the creation of a 3D model of garden stones with an accuracy of less than a millimeter. For measurement, a gap of 52 cm around the object is required. Garden stones installed in gardens are often not able to remove measurement obstacles, so the parts that can be measured are limited, but they can be used for 3D modeling of Japanese gardens. In addition, if it is a garden stone as a garden material, it was possible to create a 3D model of the entire circumference of the stone by turning it over from top to bottom. It was suggested that a 3D model of the garden stone could be used as an online catalog for garden stone sales

    本研究では,予備加熱に続く本加熱を利用した二段階加熱法による卵白の加熱ゲル物性制御について検討した.66 ℃での予備加熱により調製した二段階加熱ゲルにおいて対照と比較して破断荷重および破断ひずみが大きく繊維状の微細構造が認められた.一方,74 ℃での予備加熱により調製した二段階加熱ゲルにおいて対照と比較して破断荷重および破断ひずみが小さく,空隙が多い不均質な微細構造が認められた.74 ℃での予備加熱により調製した二段階加熱ゲルは加熱(80 ℃,24 h)や3週間程度の酸性調味液への浸漬(21 d)による硬化に対して一定の抑制効果を示した.予備加熱時のタンパク質の熱変性挙動を分析し,物性制御の機構を解析したところ,66 ℃での予備加熱によりOVTおよびLYZがSS結合を主とした凝集体を形成したが,大半のOVAは未変性のまま維持された.したがって,本加熱にてOVA同士の結合が生じ,繊維状のネットワークを主体とした,破断荷重および破断ひずみが大きいゲルが形成されたものと推察された.一方,74 ℃での予備加熱により,OVTおよびLYZ のSS結合を主とした凝集に加えて,大半のOVAが微変性条件にて凝集したことが明らかになった.したがって,予備加熱にてすでに疎なネットワークが形成され,残存する OVA量が少なく本加熱がゲルネットワークに及ぼす影響は小さいため,分子間相互作用の強化がゲルの硬さに反映されにくいと考えられる.このように,疎なネットワークにより,二段階加熱後に破断荷重が小さくなり,長時間加熱および酸性調味液浸漬に供してもゲルが硬化しにくくなったと推察された.以上,予備加熱により各タンパク質の変性および凝集履歴を変化させることで,本加熱により調製したゲルの物性を制御できることが示された.This study investigated the effect of preheating on egg white gel (EWG) properties. EWG was prepared by a two-step heating process consisting of preheating at 60–80 ℃ followed by heating to 90 ℃ for 30 min. EWG preheated at 66 ℃ had a fibrous structure, with a higher breaking strength and strain than the other EWGs tested. EWG preheated at 74 ℃ had a coarse structure, with a lower breaking strength and strain than the other EWGs tested. Both incubation at 80 ℃ for 24 h and pickling in acidic seasoning solution for 21 d did not increase the breaking strength of strain for EWG preheated at 74 ℃ as much as that for EWG prepared by one-step heating. After preheating at 66 ℃, ovotransferrin and lysozyme formed aggregates, while ovalbumin remained monomeric. After being preheated at 74 ℃, ovotransferrin, lysozyme, and most of the ovalbumin aggregated. Therefore, the findings showed that the interaction between ovalbumin resulted in a fibrous network with high breaking strength when EWG was preheated at 66 ℃, while the lack of monomeric ovalbumin and the network that formed during preheating resulted in a coarse network for EWG preheated at 74 ℃. Thus, this method appears to be a useful for controlling the texture of EWG
