    A Study of the Relationship Between Building Color Analysis and Area Characteristics at Tokyo Disney Resort

    本研究では東京ディズニーリゾートの各パーク内にある建物の色彩分析を行い,それぞれのエリアの特徴や色彩の関連性について調査を行った。シンデレラ城の色彩分析においては,時系列および天候別の調査を実施し,t検定により変化の有無を考察した。また,パーク内の建物に対して色彩分析を明度と彩度によるトーンの把握を中心に行い,テーマランドおよびテーマポートの各エリアにおける傾向を分析した。さらに,滞留時間の長いアトラクションのスタンバイエリアならびにレストランの内装において,使われている色彩に対する暖色・寒色の分類を行うことにより分析した。その結果,シンデレラ城は改修工事による時系列変化も含め,天候に関わらずより明瞭に見せるための工夫が施されていると考えられる。また,パーク内の建物の色彩を分析したことにより,エリア毎のコンセプトをより明確に把握することができたといえる。さらに,滞留時間の長い空間においては,時間の流れの感じ方に沿って暖色と寒色が施されていることが確認された。In this study, the colors of the buildings in each park of Tokyo Disney Resort were investigated, and the characteristics of each area and the relevance of colors were analyzed. In the color analysis of Cinderella Castle, chorological and weather-based survey were performed and the presence or absence of changes was examined by t-test. In addition, color analysis was performed on the buildings in the park, focusing on grasping the tone by value and saturation, and the tendency in each area of the theme land and theme port was analyzed. Furthermore, classifying warm and cold colors for the colors used in the standby area of attractions with long residence times and the interior of restaurants were analyzed. As a result, it is considered that Cinderella Castle has been devised to be seen with more clarity regardless of the weather, including chorological changes due to renovation work. In addition, it can be said that the concept of each area could be grasped more clearly by analyzing the colors of the buildings in the park.     Quantitative Landscape Indices using 3D Point Cloud Data and Psychological Analysis to Quantitatively Understand the Landscape

    庭園や公園などの景観空間は,さまざまな景観構成要素によって構成され,多様な景観を作り出している。一方,景観を客観的に評価することが可能となれば,景観空間の管理・創造において,より良い空間づくりに活用することができる。近年,都市部や自然地域において,点群データが取得されるようになってきた。本研究では,点群データを用いた定量的な景観指標の適用可能性と,景観構成要素と人間との心理的な関係性を把握することを目的とし,定量的な指標の適用可能性を検証した。また,定量的指標の適用可能性に加え,空間内の環境および人間の心理状態は大きく変化する。そこで,景観構成要素の変化との関係に着目し,点群データを景観構成要素ごとに分類すると共に占有率を算出し,心理的側面との関係を算出して検証を行った。Landscape spaces such as gardens and parks are composed of various landscape components, creating diverse landscapes. However, if landscapes can be evaluated objectively, they can be used to create better spaces in the management and creation of landscape spaces. Recently, point cloud data has been obtained in urban and natural areas. In this study, we aimed to understand the applicability of quantitative landscape indices using point cloud data and the psychological relationship between landscape components and humans. The applicability of the quantitative indexes was also verified. In addition to the applicability of the quantitative index, the environment, and human psychological conditions in a space change significantly.     Japanese crayfish, Cambaroides japonicus, and Habitat Use in a Tributary of the Shari River Basin, Hokkaido

    北日本の一部の地域のみに自然分布しているニホンザリガニ(Cambaroides japonicus)は,北海道 日高山脈よりも東に生息する道東グループと,それ以外の西グループに大きく分化している。これまでの研 究では,西グループの生息環境を評価した研究はあるものの,道東グループの生息環境に関する情報は不足 している。本研究では,北海道斜里川水系の支流で新たに発見されたニホンザリガニと,その生息環境につ いて報告する。本研究では,2024 年9 月に農地と隣接している支流で,計5 個体のニホンザリガニが確認さ れた。遺伝解析の結果,確認されたニホンザリガニは道東グループであることが示唆された。リーチスケー ルでの生息環境調査の結果,ニホンザリガニが確認された支流の水深と流速の平均値は,西グループの先行 研究で示されていた値の3 倍以上であった。一方,マイクロハビタットスケールでは,水深と流速に西グルー プとの明瞭な差は認められなかった。本研究の結果は,一見,ニホンザリガニの存続が難しそうな,農地の 近隣で流量が多い(水深が深く,流速が速い)河川であっても,微細環境さえ整っていれば生息し得ること を示唆している。Japanese crayfish (Cambaroides japonicus), an endangered species, encompass two phylogenetically independent and geographically separated lineages (eastern Hokkaido group and western group). While previous studies have investigated the habitat use of the western group, knowledge of the eastern Hokkaido group is limited. Here, we report on five Japanese crayfish sampled in the Shari River basin where the eastern Hokkaido group inhabit. To evaluate habitat use, the stream environments were measured at multiple spatial scales (i.e. reach scale and microhabitat scale) and were compared with the previous study data from the western group. Results of our genetic analysis suggest that the Japanese crayfish belongs to the eastern Hokkaido group. For habitat use at reach scale, both the mean depth and velocity of the study reach were more than three times greater than the streams surveyed in the previous study of the western group. At the microhabitat scale, however, there was no clear difference in depth and velocity between the western group and this study site. Our results indicate that even in the vicinity of agricultural land, and in streams with deep water and high flow velocity, where Japanese crayfish are unlikely to persist, they can still inhabit these environments if the microhabitat is suitable.短報Not

    Reading Philip Larkin’s “Water”: Possibility of Multiple Interpretations of a Poem

    Considered in relation to symbolism, “a religion” and “water” in Philip Larkin’s “Water” may represent something different from their literal meanings. And some Larkin’s poems can be interpreted multiply by impressionistic-critical analysis. Thus, in this paper, whether the religion and the water in this poem symbolize something else or not is analyzed mainly by impressionistic-critical readings, other themes and the poet’s arguments hidden in this poem are considered, and the possibility of multiple interpretations of a poem is explored.As a result, four interpretations in this poem are revealed. In i) the serious theme of constructing a religion Larkin hides ii) more serious theme of hoping the development of his own poetry, while iii) the theme of his interest in alcohol or iv) the theme of his keener interests in sex and masturbation can be seen and ideally he relies on the situation of sumptuous feast. In fact, these interpretations derived from the four themes overlap one another though they appear to be independent respectively.It can be said that this poem is just “A glass of water / Where any-angled light / Would congregate endlessly” and Larkin implies the multiplicity of his poems through this poem. There also can be seen the figure of Larkin, who admires his own poetry, raises a glass of water to declare victory against his readers that cannot understand his true intention, and raises a toast

    Enhancing Plant Growth using a 6 V Solar Cell–Powered Electrokinetic Treatment

    Application of electrokinetic treatment powered by a 6 V solar cell (ET-6V) has been found to release essential nutrients (N, P, and K) from saturated organic soil. Additionally, this treatment accelerates the growth of Japanese mustard spinach near the anode due to oxidation reactions. However, growth inhibition occurs near the cathode due to reduction reactions. These effects may vary in unsaturated soils managed with irrigation water. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the effects of ET-6V on plant growth in unsaturated soils through laboratory experiments. Specifically, we examined changes in electrode potential and the growth rate of Japanese mustard spinach after applying ET-6V to andosol mixed with cow manure compost. Although reduction reactions occurred at the cathode, facilitating the flow of irrigation water through the soil layer maintained a stable cathode potential exceeding 0 V. Growth rate measurements revealed a 1.2–1.8-fold increase in the wet weight of Japanese mustard spinach near both the anode and cathode. Notably, the growth rate of spinach was higher in the soil located 5–20 cm from both electrodes. Surprisingly, reduction reactions did not negatively affect growth rate but instead contributed to increased Japanese mustard spinach growth in unsaturated soil. The enhancement of soil potential through irrigation water is a key driver underlying this growth.
