    ABSTRACT: The scribe of manuscript London, British Library, Additional 15606 (dating back to the early 14th century) made an interesting error, leading to the substitution of a bifolio in a quire of the codex and suggesting that the French poem Eructavit, inspired by the commentary of a psalm, could stand in for a symbolic representation of the psalter.     RIASSUNTO: Mentre si trovava in esilio a Roma, il canonico catalano Antoni de Bastero i Lledó (1675-1739) si affidò il compito di scrivere un lessico di parole dell’italiano derivate dal provenzale. Questo saggio si propone di ricostruire i fondamenti ideologici sui quali Bastero costruì un canone del catalano letterario e di mostrare come e perché assegnò ad Ausiàs March la posizione più rilevante.PAROLE-CHIAVE: Filologia romanza – Letteratura catalana – Lessicografia – Ausiàs March ABSTRACT: During his exile in Rome, the Catalan priest Antoni de Bastero i Lledó (1675-1739), undertook the task of writing a vocabulary of Italian words derived from Provençal language.     RIASSUNTO: Gli estramps sono un modulo metrico tipico della poesia catalana medioevale, caratterizzato dall’uso di versi che terminano con parole rare senza corrispondenza rimica fra loro. La critica ha evidenziato che alcune di queste parole sono in realtà dei rimanti celebri della tradizione occitana del trobar car, e in misura minore, della produzione “aspra” di Dante e altri poeti italiani. Esse verrebbero riutilizzate, o meglio citate, dagli autori catalani in maniera consapevole, per creare un raffinato gioco intertestuale coi loro predecessori. Partendo da questo assunto, l’articolo analizza le possibili fonti dei non-rimanti degli estramps catalani da Jaume March a Ausiàs March per verificare quanti di questi possano essere ricondotti a una o più tradizioni poetiche illustri.PAROLE-CHIAVE: Metrica catalana – estramps – Ausiàs March ABSTRACT: The estramps are a typical metrical form of medieval Catalan poetry, characterised by the use of lines ending in rare words without rhyming correspondence between them. Scholars have pointed out that some of these words are in fact famous rhymes from the Occitan trobar car tradition, and to a lesser extent, from the “harsh” production of Dante and other Italian poets. They would be consciously reused, or rather quoted, by Catalan authors to create a refined intertextual game with their predecessors. Starting from this assumption, the article analyses the possible sources of the rhymeless ending words of the Catalan estramps from Jaume March to Ausiàs March in order to verify how many of them can be reconducted to one or more illustrious poetic traditions.KEYWORDS: Catalan poetic forms – estramps – Ausiàs Marc

    The Cocharelli Fragments: Edition of the Text

    ABSTRACT: The aim of the present paper is to give the first complete critical edition of the text of the Cocharelli codex, the richly illuminated manuscript produced in Genoa for the Cocharelli family in the early fourteenth-century of which only 27 folios survive today. The manuscript transmits a Latin treatise on the vices and virtues written by an unidentified member of the Cocharelli family for the moral instruction of his children. For the description of vices and virtues the author relies on some very popular sources of the time (such as Guido Faba and Paulus Hungarus), while he derives the exempla included in his work (dealing mainly with the near-contemporary history of Genoa and of the Latin East) from the personal recollections of his grandfather Pellegrino Cocharelli. This text is remarkable not only for its original historical accounts and for the stunning illuminations that illustrate it, but also for the valuable information it provides on the Genoese and on the Mediterranean cultural context of the early Trecento. The introduction offers a brief survey on manuscripts, language and orthography, followed by a paragraph with the criteria which have been followed in establishing the text. The edition is completed by critical notes which discuss textual problems, offer comments on difficult passages, identify the sources and provide historical information; it is also accompanied by an appendix with the reproduction of the images of all surviving folios

    Algunos casos de duplicación de los poemas en la tradición de Ausiàs March

    RESUMEN: A pesar de una amplia bibliografía critica, la tradición de Ausiàs March sigue presentando algunos problemas filológicos. Una de estas criticidades es la duplicación de los poemas en los cancioneros ausiasmarquianos. La duplicación fue estudiada en el cancionero G, pero necesita todavía de una revisión critica general. El artículo es un tentativo de analizar la cuestión para preparar un estudio sistemático de la duplicación en la poesía de Ausiàs March. Al largo de este artículo, el autor se focaliza, sobre todo, sobre la posible existencia de algunos folios sueltos, o Liederblätter, que podrían haber conservado las versiones alternativas de algunos poemas de Ausiàs March que encontramos duplicados en los manuscritos del autor valenciano.PALABRAS CLAVE: Ausiàs March – Liederblätter – Cancionero – Poesía valenciana – Tradición ABSTRACT: Despite an extensive critical bibliography, the tradition of Ausiàs March continues to present some philological problems. One of these criticisms is the duplication of poems in the Ausiàs Marchian songbooks. The duplication was studied in the songbook G, but it still needs a general critical revision. The article is an attempt to analyse the question in order to prepare a systematic study of duplication in Ausiàs March’s poetry. Throughout this contribution, the author focuses, above all, on the possible existence of some loose folios, or Liederblätter, which could have preserved the alternative versions of some of Ausiàs March’s poems that we find duplicated in the manuscripts of the Valencian author.KEYWORDS: Ausiàs March – Liederblätter – Songbook – Valencian poetry – Traditio
