This research aims to develop gamified learning as a solution to overcome demotivation and enhance higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) among students in learning Ilmu Shorof, one of the branches of linguistics that is often considered difficult and boring. Gamification introduces game elements that can boost students\u27 motivation, engagement, and critical thinking skills. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ASSURE model, which includes six steps: learner analysis, objective formulation, method and media selection, media utilization, learner participation, and evaluation and revision. The developed product was validated by subject matter, media, and language experts. The trial subjects consisted of 50 Arabic Language Education (PBA) students from Hasyim Asy\u27ari University, with a questionnaire used to measure students\u27 perceptions of the product, particularly in terms of increasing motivation and HOTS. The study resulted in a web-based software called "????? ??????" (Easy Learning of Ilmu Shorof). The product evaluation was based on three main aspects: content, media, and language, with an average score of 93.2, meeting the criteria of "excellent." The questionnaire validity test showed that all items had an r-value greater than the r-table (0.284), indicating they were valid. The reliability test revealed Cronbach’s Alpha values above 0.8, indicating "high reliability." The final results confirm that this application significantly improves motivation, HOTS, and ease of use, in line with the development objectives

Does Profitability Matter? The Dual Role of ROA and ROE in the ESG–Firm Value Relationship

    No full text
Purpose: This study investigates the relationship between Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance and firm value, with profitability—measured by Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE)—serving as the moderating variable.Method: Data were collected from companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) over five years (2019-2023). Control variables include firm size, firm age, and leverage. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing panel data regression on 209 firm-year observations from IDX-listed companies. Tobin’s Q serves as a proxy for firm value, while the ESG score is the independent variable, moderated by profitability.Result: The findings indicate that ESG performance positively affects firm value in the base model. However, this effect turns negative when profitability is included as a moderator. Notably, the interaction term ESG*ROE has a significant positive effect, suggesting that higher profitability (as reflected by ROE) enhances the positive impact of ESG on firm value. In contrast, ROA does not exhibit a significant moderating effect.Practical Implications for Economic Growth and Development: This study underscores the importance of integrating sustainability efforts (ESG) with strong financial performance to create long-term value. This insight is crucial for policymakers and investors aiming to promote responsible business practices and sustainable economic development.Originality/Value: This study examines the moderating role of profitability—specifically ROA and ROE—in the relationship between ESG performance and firm value. By focusing on an emerging market context, this research offers insights on how different dimensions of profitability influence the ESG–firm value nexus

    No full text
Efforts to prevent a global energy crisis by using renewable and environmentally friendly energy. Batteries are an alternative to replace non-renewable energy. However, in the battery, there is an electrolyte component which when finished using the battery will cause waste that causes the soil to become toxic. This study aims to determine the characterization of chitosan solid electrolyte membranes, in crab shells. The characterization carried out is the characterization of crab shell chitosan using an FTIR spectrophotometer, ion conductivity analysis of solid electrolyte membranes using an LCR Meter, and tensile tests using Tensilon. The method used in this research is experimental. Isolation of chitin and chitosan from crab shells was carried out in several stages, namely deproteination, demineralization, and deacetylation. The chitosan-lithium membrane was prepared by casting method with the addition of 15% lithium salt. The value of the degree of deacetylation in crab shell chitosan is around 39.39%. Based on the characterization, the chitosan-lithium SPE membrane conductivity value is 1.11 x 10-7 S.cm-1 with a tensile strength value of 27.07 MPa

Analysis of Determination and Deviation of Qibla Direction in Telaga Ngembeng Cemetery, Nyurlembang, Narmada

This study aims to analyze the determination of the Qibla direction at Telaga Ngembeng Cemetery, Nyurlembang Village, Narmada District, with a primary focus on the misalignment of grave orientations caused by inconsistent Qibla determination methods. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with fieldwork methods, supported by Qibla direction measurements using the scientific approach of spherical trigonometry. The findings reveal varying deviations in Qibla orientation among graves, resulting from reliance on estimations by religious figures, limited access to proper instruments, inconsistent use of Qibla compasses, and the community\u27s lack of awareness regarding the importance of directional consistency. The novelty of this research lies in the application of spherical trigonometry to recalibrate Qibla direction across a traditional cemetery with high precision. The practical implication of this study highlights the urgency of religious education and the use of accurate tools in burial practices, while the academic implication shows how integrating Islamic astronomy (falak) and socio-religious studies can improve cemetery management in line with Islamic law

Reconstructing Ijtih?d in Unifications the Islamic Calendar: Jasser Auda\u27s Maq?shid al-Shar?`ah Approach

The determination of the beginning of the Hijri month often triggers differences among Muslims due to differences in methods between rukyat (hilal observation) and hisab (astronomical calculation), which have an impact on social fragmentation and uncertainty in the implementation of worship. This study offers a reconstruction of ijtih?d in determining the beginning of the Hijri month through Jasser Auda\u27s maq?shid al-shar?\u27ah approach, which emphasizes holistic thinking, openness to change, and orientation to the benefit of the people. This research responds to two questions: (1) How can the maq?shid al-shar?\u27ah approach reconstruct ijtih?d in determining the beginning of the Hijri month? and (2) To what extent can unification of the Islamic calendar be achieved through the integration of rukyat and hisab methods based on maq?shid principles? The research method is qualitative with literature analysis and comparative study of classical fiqh books, contemporary fatwas, and astronomical documents related to the Neo-MABIMS criteria. The results show that this approach allows synergistic rukyat-hisab integration, strengthens legal certainty, accommodates the development of hilal observation technology, and makes the benefit and unity of the ummah as the top priority, in line with the principles of ?if? al-d?n, ?if? al-\u27aql, and ?if? al-ummah. This reconstruction of ijtih?d offers a new paradigm that is strategic, contextual, and inclusive, as a solution to reduce socio-theological differences and build a uniform and sustainable Islamic calenda

This study aims to analyze the relationship between third party funds, capital adequacy ratio, non-performing financing partially and simultaneously on financing at PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia. The object of this study is the quarterly financial report of PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia for the period 2018-2022. The data collection technique uses documentation with multiple linear regression analysis tests. The results of the t-test analysis show that partially the DPK variable has no effect on financing with a significance value of 0.100> 0.05 and a t-count value of 1.748 <t table 2.120. The NPF variable does not affect financing because the significance value is 0.308> 0.05 with a t-count value of 1.054 <2.120. The CAR variable affects financing with a significance value of 0.00 <0.05 and a t-count value of 7.131> 2.120. Simultaneously, the DPK, CAR, and NPF variables affect financing. This is proven by the sig-F value of 0.00 < 0.05 and the comparison of F table (3.20) < F count (21,773). The predictive ability of the three variables on financing is 76.6% as indicated by the amount of adjusted R2, while the remaining 23.4% is influenced by other ratio factors
