    Get PDF
Purpose — The research investigation was centered on the potential for herding behavior in the Amman Stock Exchange. The major goal of the current investigation is to identify any herding behavior that may occur, including behavior caused by liquidity and global factor drivers (such as oil prices and Fed fund rates).Method — The study employed the quantitative research method. The sample consists of 50 observations from 171 companies, and the data were collected from monthly records spanning January 2019 to March 2023. The Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) and a deductive approach were utilized in the quantitative methodology of this study.Result — At this stage, employing a CSSD regression analysis makes it possible to observe evidence of herding behavior in the left tail. The study also found no evidence suggesting that stock market liquidity affects herding behavior in the right tail during periods of both high and low liquidity. However, it did find evidence indicating that liquidity affects herding behavior in the left tail. The Amman capital market has demonstrated that herding behavior is not significantly influenced by global factors.Practical implications  — This study suggests that the Amman Stock Exchange should make information accessible to all investors to encourage them to take an active role in making their own investment decisions

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease with impaired insulin secretion. Sepat Rawa fish has been proven to contain alpha-amino acids, which can increase insulin action by increasing energy in the cell metabolic cycle. Ramania leaves contain compounds for antidiabetic treatment, such as saponins and flavonoids. This study aims to find the best dose to increase the antidiabetic activity of the combination of sepat rawa fish meal and ethanol extract of ramania leaves. This research activity uses pre- and post-tests with a control group design. The 25 mice used were divided into 5 groups, namely group I: negative control (CMC Na 0.5%), group II: positive control (glibenclamide 3 mg/kgBW), group III: sepat Rawa fish meal dose of 300 mg/kg. KgBW, group IV: ramania leaf extract at a dose of 300 mg/kg BW, group V: a combination of fish meal 300 mg/KgBW and ethanol extract of ramania leaf 300mg/kg BW. Mice were induced by alloxan to experience hyperglycemia. Observations on the decrease in blood sugar levels of each test group were carried out on the 7th day after alloxan induction by taking sufficient blood from the tails of mice and measuring using glucose. Data was analyzed for variance (ANOVA) (p=0.05). The result is that a single group of Ramania extract with a dose of 300 mg/KgBB shows the best activity with a percent decrease in blood sugar levels by 28.438,  a combination dose of 25.107 %, and a Sepat Rawa dose of 21,675%. The Third of them was not significantly different with positive control

The change from the 2013 curriculum to an Merdeka curriculum requires adjustments for teachers and students. The lack of availability of teaching tools that are in accordance with the Merdeka curriculum and a learning approach that is still teacher-centered makes students less motivated to participate in learning. The purpose of this study is to develop a PBL-based teaching module on green chemistry material by determining the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of student responses to the content measured in the teaching module. This research is R&D (Research and Development) research with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) model. The data collection technique used a material and media validation questionnaire involving seven material and media expert validators and was analyzed using the Aiken\u27s V test. Furthermore, the validated teaching module was tested limited to 26 class X phase E students. The development of this PBL-based teaching module obtained results in the validity of the material and media of 0.91 and 0.92 in the "Valid" category. Then it was implemented with students in class X-5 and received a response of 83.27% in the "Very Practical" category. Furthermore, the results of the LKPD assignment in the module obtained an average of 83.15% which indicates "Very Effective". Thus, this PBL-based teaching module is suitable for use as a learning tool

    No full text
This study aimed to investigate how activator hydrochloric acid (HCl) concentration affects the adsorption capacity of corncob-activated carbon in Methylene Blue (MB) dye.  This was followed by immersion in HCl solutions with various concentrations (2.5 M; 3M; 3.5 M; and 4 M) as chemical activating agents. Next, FTIR and XRD were used to characterize the activated carbon that had been activated and unactivated. The study analyzed the reduction of methylene blue dye concentration in the air to evaluate the effectiveness of activated carbon as an adsorbent. It examined various factors influencing the adsorption process, including different initial concentrations of the azo dye (20 ppm, 30 ppm, 40 ppm, 50 ppm, and 60 ppm) and contact times (15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes). The experimental results indicated that a 3 M concentration of HCl was the most effective activator, leading to a maximum dye removal rate of 80.77%. For an initial concentration of 20 ppm of the azo dye, the highest adsorption results were achieved at 85.67%. Furthermore, the optimal contact time for maximum adsorption was found to be 30 minutes, with a peak adsorption rate of 70.08%. The Langmuir adsorption isotherm model demonstrated a better fit for the adsorption of methylene blue onto corncob-activated carbon. It can be concluded that activated carbon produced from corn cobs and treated with HCl is an effective adsorbent for reducing methylene blue levels in the solution
