This research aims to determine the influence of the School Literacy Movement on reading ability at the beginning of grade 1 at MI Karanganyar. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a survey research design and data collection techniques using questionnaires. The sample in this study consisted of 35 students. The results of the research show that there is no significant correlation between familiarization with school literacy movements and initial reading ability, with PTS data correlation test values ??of 0.217 and 0.225 and PAS data correlation test values ??of 0.102 and 0.570. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is no statistically significant relationship between these two variables. Thus, to increase the effectiveness of literacy programs and early reading skills, more systematic and targeted efforts are needed in implementation, as well as continuous monitoring and evaluation to ensure that program objectives can be achieved well. Addressing irregularities in implementation, increasing resources and supports, and reducing variability in individual responses can help strengthen the relationship between early reading skills and school literacy movement practices

EXPLORATORY FACTOR ANALYSIS FOR THE VALIDITY OF MATHEMATICS LEARNING INDEPENDENCE INSTRUMENTS FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

This study aims to test the validity of the mathematics learning independence instrument of elementary school students using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The research method used is a quantitative approach with factor analysis techniques to identify the latent structure of the instrument. Data was collected through a questionnaire of 73 grade V elementary school students and analyzed using Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO), Bartlett\u27s Test, and factor extraction with Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The results of the study show that this instrument consists of five main factors that have a significant correlation with the aspect of mathematics learning independence. The model match index shows good values, with RMSEA = 0.00 and TLI = 1.1705, signifying that this instrument is valid and reliable. However, some items with a loading factor below 0.40 and a high uniqueness (u²) value were found, indicating that the items did not fully represent the measured factor. Therefore, it is necessary to revise or eliminate items that have high cross-loading as well as add more specific items according to the dimension of mathematics learning independence. Thus, the developed instruments can be used in research and educational practice to measure the independence of elementary school students\u27 mathematics learning, while still paying attention to the improvement of the instrument in advanced studies

This study aims to examine the pattern of supervision and obstacles to the circulation of illegal cigarettes in East Lombok Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies of Customs officials, local governments, and law enforcement. The results of the study show that the circulation of illegal cigarettes is driven by the surplus of local tobacco production, the high consumption of young smokers, and weak supervision in the distribution channel. The supervisory system implemented both internally and externally still faces structural constraints such as bureaucratic complexity, personnel shortages, and limited operational costs. The Tobacco Products Industrial Estate (KIHT) program is proposed as a coaching approach that can reduce the incentives for business actors to be involved in illegal cigarette production. This study recommends reform of excise supervision policies based on community participation and local economic empowerment as a long-term solutio

    No full text
This study aims to analyze the implementation of Law Number 16 of 2019 related to the marriage age limit, with a focus on the practice of marriage dispensation in Montong Gading District, East Lombok. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies of KUA employees, parents, adolescents, and religious court judges. The results show that the practice of marriage dispensation is still widely used as a legal loophole to legalize child marriage, even though regulations have been tightened. The main factors driving the application for dispensation are social pressure, out-of-wedlock pregnancies, poverty, and low legal understanding. Meanwhile, the role of KUA as an administrative implementer is considered not optimal in prevention efforts, due to limited human resources and lack of collaboration with child protection institutions. The conclusion of the study emphasizes the importance of comprehensive reform, both in regulatory and implementive aspects, as well as the need for multidisciplinary involvement in every marriage dispensation process for the protection of children\u27s rights. This research is expected to be a conceptual contribution to strengthening the role of local institutions in preventing early marriag
