Economic Life of Traders in Bauntung Market, Banjarbaru City 1999-2021
This research aims to find out the economic life of traders in Bauntung market, Banjarbaru city. The research method used a historical method consisting of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that Bauntung market was established in 1965 designed by Van Der Pijl and built in a residential area, with a movie theater behind it. In 1999-2012 Bauntung market was the main center of trade without any competition from modern markets. However, along with population growth and technological development, competition from modern shopping centers began to emerge, which affected the stability of merchants' income. Furthermore, in 2020-2021 the economic life of traders was faced with the Covid-19 pandemic and plus 2021 the market was relocated which led to a reduction in the number of customers and a decrease in income
Analysis of Local History Material in the Independent Curriculum Class X History Book
This research aims to find out how the use of textbooks in learning history and knowing the local history material in history textbooks. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a library research approach. The sources used in this research come from primary sources, namely two Class X History Textbooks published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021, as well as books, articles, and official websites. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the Merdeka Curriculum class X high school textbook contains local history material, which contains the simplest things, such as students being directed to analyse historical phenomena in everyday life from the concepts and theories they learn. Another thing that reinforces the existence of local history material in the class X History textbook of the Merdeka curriculum is the alignment between learning outcomes, learning objectives and content in textbooks published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021
Utilization of the Kedu Ex-Residency Museum (Place where the Prince was captured Diponegoro) as a source for Learning History
This research aims to describe how the use of the former Kedu Residency Museum, where Prince Diponegoro was captured by General De Kock, became a source of learning local history in history subjects at SMAN 4 Magelang. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques include direct observation in museums and schools, in-depth interviews with museologists and history teachers, as well as museum and school documentation. The results of the research show: (1) the Former Kedu Residency Museum is the site of a historical event where Diponegoro was tricked and arrested by General De Kock through negotiations, (2) the Former Kedu Residency Museum is a cultural heritage building protected by the state, (3) History Teacher at SMAN 4 Magelang have used this museum as a local history learning laboratory, (4) The Museum Tour Learning Model is used by history teachers to provide students with direct experience learning local history
History Heroism Commander Gocah in the Kingdom of Aru
The purpose of this study is to find out the history of the commander Gocah of the Aru kingdom. The method used is the historical method. The research results show that the Aru Kingdom is the oldest kingdom in North Sumatra, which has existed on the east coast of North Sumatra Province now since the 13th-16th century AD. The Karo people say that Aru is Aru which comes from the said Karo. This research method uses qualitative techniques with a descriptive approaches to describe the heroic history of Panglima Gocah and the Kingdom of Aru. The results showed that the Clan twins formed the Aru community, which is the Karo community. The Kembaren clan is thought to have originated from Pagaruyung in Minangkabau Land, there are rumors that the Kingdom of Aru and the Kingdom of Pasai (Aceh) often clashed. The Aru attacked Pasai in the early 16th century and massacred a large number of the local population. However, Pasai retaliated against the attack. Aceh was able to penetrate the fortress of the Kingdom of Aru with a series of attacks. Aceh had sent powerful military expeditions to the kingdom of Deli on several occasions to maintain power. In the end, Aceh appointed its commander as Major of the State in an attempt to increase its politics influence and keep Deli from escalating rebellions. It was Seri Paduka Gocah Pahlawan who became this commander, he was a pioneer in the history of the Deli Sultanate
Sketsmasa's Framing of Sukarno and Suharto in 1957-1968: A Study of Media Framing in the Authoritarian Era
This article aims to explain Sketsmasa magazine's framing of the Old and New Order rulers. The method used in this research is the historical method. The results show that Sketsmasa positively framed the Old and New Order governments because the government banned media that threatened their status quo. Sketsmasa's positive framing of the Old Order ruler, Sukarno, was by conveying Sukarno's outstanding leadership and correcting slanders against Sukarno that could defame him. During the New Order, Sketsmasa framed differently. Sketsmasa's framing was not only in the form of positive things about the then ruler, Soeharto, but also negative things about the previous ruler, Soekarno. Sketsmasa attacked Sukarno's personality and showed the crimes of the Old Order that had never been shown by Sketsmasa before. The aim was to create the impression in society that Soeharto was the savior of the abuses committed by Sukarno during the Old Order
Self Control dan Phubbing pada Remaja
Phubbing is ignoring people who have interpersonal relationships by checking cell phones. Self-control is the ability to regulate one's behavior, emotions, and thoughts in achieving long-term goals or values. This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between self-control and phubbing behavior in male and female adolescents. This research used a quantitative approach with 337 participants, obtained using convenience sampling techniques. The data collection tools are the Self-control scale from Tangey, with 13 items, and the phubbing scale from Chotpitayasunondh and Douglas 2015, with 15 items. Data analysis uses Pearson's product-moment correlation technique. The results of the correlation test show r = 0.214 with a value of p = 0.000 (p<0.005), which means there is a reasonably strong relationship between self-control and phubbing and does not have a negative direction
EFL STUDENTS AND TEACHERS' PERSPECTIVES OF ISOLATED AND INTEGRATED APPROACH IN HIGH SCHOOL
This study examines the perceptions of high school EFL students regarding isolated and integrated approaches to grammar teaching in Depok, Indonesia. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the research investigates how students view and evaluate the effectiveness of these approaches in grammar instruction. Data was collected through questionnaires completed by 113 students. The results show a strong preference for the integrated approach, with 98.3% of students favoring grammar instruction during communicative activities. Although there were some inconsistencies in student preferences, students recognized the benefits of integrating grammar with communicative tasks. However, challenges such as students' tendency to forget grammar rules and difficulties in implementation were noted. This study emphasizes the importance of a balanced approach, combining integrated grammar instruction with structured practice to optimize learning outcomes
Meningkatkan Pemahaman Siswa SMA Terhadap Materi Optik Geometri dan Alat Optik melalui E-Modul
Dalam era di mana teknologi semakin merajalela, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap potensi revolusioner dari e-modul materi optik geometri dan alat optik dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMA. Dengan memanfaatkan desain quasi-eksperimental yang canggih, penelitian ini melibatkan 25 siswa berbakat dari kelas XI untuk menjalani 14 sesi pembelajaran yang inovatif. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest menyoroti transformasi luar biasa dalam pemahaman siswa, yang ditandai dengan lonjakan substansial dalam skor posttest dan nilai N-Gain. Analisis statistik yang mendalam mengungkapkan bahwa nilai uji t, yang mencapai -13,565 pada derajat kebebasan 24, mengukuhkan kontribusi signifikan E-Modul dalam mengangkat pemahaman siswa ke level yang baru. Hasil ini bukan hanya sekadar mencerminkan keberhasilan teknologi dalam pendidikan, tetapi juga membuka jalan bagi masa depan yang cerah di mana inovasi dan pembelajaran dapat berpadu harmonis untuk mencapai pencerahan yang tak terbata
Burnout pada Tenaga Kesehatan di Kabupaten Karawang: Peran Dukungan Sosial dan Perceived Stress
This study aims to examine the effect of social support and perceived stress on burnout in health workers in Karawang Regency. Participants in this study were early to late adults aged 20 to 45 years and domiciled in Karawang Regency with a total of 102 participants, the method used was quantitative with causality design and cluster sampling technique. Data were collected through psychological scales that measure variables of multidimensional scale of perceived social support (MSPSS), perceived stress scale (PSS), and maslach burnout inventory (MBI). Data analysis was conducted using normality test, linearity test, multiple regression test, and coefficient of determination test with the help of SPSS program. The results showed that the data was normally distributed and both independent variables, namely social support and perceived stress significantly influenced the level of burnout with a significance value of 0.000. The coefficient of determination of social support and perceived stress on burnout is (R Square) 0.249 or 24.9%, where social support and perceived stress contribute 0.005 while perceived stress is 0.000, meaning that these findings indicate the need for interventions aimed at increasing social support and reducing perceived stress to prevent burnout in health workers. Further research is recommended to focus on more specific and contextual intervention strategies according to the needs of health workers in Karawang Regency
TRANSLATING COLLABORATIVELY: PERSPECTIVES OF NOVICE TRANSLATORS
In today's world, translation practices are constantly changing. The traditional belief that translators operate alone has disappeared chiefly due to the needs of modern business practices. Because of the techniques significant translation firms employ, individual translation must give way to collaborative translation. In translation, collaboration is still a relatively new field with several advantages and disadvantages. However, collaboration in translation is considered a relatively unexplored terrain with many advantages and disadvantages. Bearing this in mind, higher education institutions should be prepared to tackle the issue of collaborative translation from the aspect of curricula design and market requirements, which requires additional research focusing on collaborative work. This article addresses the study conducted to examine the usage of in-class collaborative translation practices at the university level and the effects such activities might have on increasing novice translators’ competence in translating texts. It discusses the characteristics of collaborative translation and provides an insight into student translators' perception of the usage of such activities, thus attempting to explore the concept of collaboration in translation from the perspective of active participant
