The Role of Retail Mix Elements in Enhancing Customer Engagement: Evidence from Thai Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Retail Sector
The current understanding of the effect of the retail mix elements on customer engagement is limited. This study aims to investigate these relationships using a case study of Thai FMCG retail. A review of the relevant literature was conducted to propose a conceptual model consisting of the five retail mix elements (product, service, store, experience, and sales promotions) and customer engagement. A survey methodology was used to empirically validate the proposed conceptual model. Eight-hundred customers who had experience in shopping at two FMCG retail stores located in Khon Kean City participated in the survey. Obtained data were analyzed using generalized structured component analysis. Results show that four retail mix elements, all except the product aspect, significantly affected customer engagement. A multiple-group analysis was conducted using R package lavaan to further investigate the differences between the two retail stores, revealing the shortfalls of one retailer in respect of the other. This paper theoretically contributes to the retail literature by answering a call for investigation of the impact of FMCG’s retail mix elements on customer engagement. In addition, the study’s results lead to a proposition of strategies that form a pratical contribution, and which may be useful for the retailers under investigation and other retail businesses
BEYOND PROXIMITY AND SUBSTITUTION: LEVINAS ON TRANSCENDENCE
Martin Heidegger’s philosophy is a form of an ontotheologythat reduces the encounter with ‘the Other’ into ametaphysical abstraction. For this reason his idea of Beingtends to be morally naïve and oblivious to the reality ofsuffering. For Emmanuel Levinas develops a philosophywhich challenges this where the relation between thehuman person and ‘the Other’ is asymmetrical. This notonly challenges Heidegger’s ontology but also rectifies thetendency toward egocentrism of Western philosophy ingeneral. This paper argues that Levinas’ idea ‘the other’ is amanifestation of the Divine. Levinas is saying that withoutthis idea of the divine or God, there can be no way out ofthe violence in human history. The traces of the Divine canbe found in the unique experiences of transcendence, suchas unconditional love
PHENOMENOLOGY AS FINDINGNESS: THINKING WITH HEIDEGGER
“Phenomenology” has taken on such a variety of definitionsthat it behooves anyone referring to the method toexplain exactly what she means by it. The present essaycharacterizes phenomenology as a practice rather thanas a theoretical framework. It is a means of gatheringwhat Heidegger calls “phenomenological facts.” Theattempt is to discern Heidegger’s practice of the methodin Being and Time, hopefully allowing us both to betterunderstand that work and to further pursue the hermeneuticof human existence. Following a quick review of someof the difficulties interpreting Being and Time, Husserl’sphenomenology is reviewed with help from Sartre. Thephenomenology of Being and Time is then characterized asa mode of befindlichkeit, findingness. In this way “Dasein”,finds itself constantly and essentially. Phenomenologymakes that finding, as opposed to what is found, explicit:finding finds itself
THE COMPLEMENTARIAN POSITION ON THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN THE BIBLE: A DEFENSE

The egalitarian position asserts thatwomen and men are equal in all senses whereas thecomplementarian position takes the view that men andwomen complement one other. Therefore, both positionshave implications concerning the role of gender in society. This article explores the passages in the Bible relevant to thetopic and how they provide a ground for both positions. Themain focus will be on the understanding and interpretationof Bible verse (Gal 3:28). Based upon this examination, theresearcher will try to defend the Complementarian position
A Study of Non-Resident Gen Y Chinese’s Purchase Intention of Real Estate in Panzhihua, China
Purpose: This quantitative research aims to investigate the factors influencing the purchase intention of non-resident Gen Y Chinese of real estate in Panzhihua, China. The conceptual framework based on theory of planned behavioral (TPB), theory of consumer value (TCV) contains seven variables, including functional value, conditional value, attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, environmental concern, and purchase intention. Research design, data and methodology: The researcher conducted online and offline questionnaire, using non-probability sampling which are purposive, quota and connivence samplings. Before the data collection, Item Objective Congruence (IOC) Index and Cronbach’s Alpha were applied to confirm validity and reliability. The research analysis involves confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) to measure the relationships and hypotheses. Results: The results verified that that all hypotheses were supported. Two strongest relationships were found between conditional value and attitude, and perceived behavioral control and purchase intention. Conclusions: This study confirmed that the vast majority of non-resident Gen Y Chinese’ purchase intentions of real estate in Panzhihua, China are encouraged by emotional factors, which real estate developers and marketer should strategize their products, services and sales strategies to meet the needs of this specific customers’ generation

Factors Influencing Undergraduate Students’ Loyalty: A Study of Thai Private Universities Offering International Programs
This study aims to identify factors that influence undergraduate students’ loyalty on their universities. The focus is on the international programs offered at six prominent Thai private universities in the greater Bangkok Metropolis and the outskirts area. A quantitative survey research method was employed. The respondents were Thai and International students who are between ages 18 and 25. An online survey was conducted using questionnaire distributed to 360 students. The researcher used quota sampling method in which 60 responses were obtained from each of the six universities. Results from Multiple Linear Regression analysis indicate that university image, reputation, functional service quality and student perceived value impact student satisfaction. University reputation scores highest on the students’ satisfaction (Beta = 0.755), followed by the students’ perceived value (Beta = 0.677), university image (Beta = 0.562) and functional service quality (Beta = 0.542), respectively. Results from Simple Linear Regression indicate that university image also impacts the students’ loyalty at the beta value (β) of 0.573. The findings conclude that Thai private universities should maintain and enhance university trustworthiness and heritage, such as campus culture, to build a favorable university image. It is also concluded that university reputation has the strongest impact on student satisfaction whereas student satisfaction has massive impact on student loyalty. Students from different universities do not express loyalty differently while students of different years of study hold distinct views when expressing loyalty to their respective universities
