University Student Loyalty Model: Structural Equation Modelling Of Student Loyalty in Autonomous, State, Transformed, and Private Universities in Bangkok
University student’s loyalty is a key factor that contributes to the long-term growth and survivability of the university through financial stability, increased enrolment, and better reputation. The objective of this research is to develop a comprehensive university student loyalty model that incorporates important constructs in a service quality dimension and a relationship quality dimension as well as image and reputation perception. The model is tested using the structural equation modelling approach. The multiple group analysis is conducted to compare the models across different types of university in Bangkok namely, autonomous, state, transformed (Rajabhat and Rajamangala), and private universities. This research collected data from more than 2,400 undergraduate students in the Bangkok Metropolitan area. The University Student Loyalty Model provides university administrators with an objective and practical guideline to formulate an appropriate strategy for their universities
Development of A Model of Center for Teaching Excellence in Nursing for Nursing Colleges under Praboromarajchanok Institutes
The purpose of this research was to develop a model of the center for teaching excellence in nursing for nursing colleges under Praboromarajchanok Institute. The data concerning the center for teaching excellence in nursing were retrieved from the Internet. In this regard, EDFR is applied in the development of a model of the center for teaching excellence in nursing for nursing colleges under Praboromarajchanok Institute in consultation with 17 senior experts. The results found that a model of the center for teaching excellence in nursing consisted of: 1) vision: to be the leader and collaborator in developing teaching excellence in nursing; 2) mission: to be the mainstay in developing and enhancing instruction quality; 3) structure: to have functional structure; 4) administration: to be the independent agency; 5) objectives: to develop the instructors in light of online instructions; 6) duties: to develop the knowledge of teaching, to disseminate online instruction techniques, to give advice on instruction, and to arrange training programs on instruction; 7) budget: to urge for support from Praboromarajchanok Institute and to collect registration fee from training program participants; 8) collaboration with external agencies: to conduct researches on and to develop the innovation in the instruction in collaborative manner; 9) the characteristics of services provided by the center: to arrange meetings/seminars and opinion forums, to give advice on instruction, and to disseminate the data on instruction; and 10) required database: instruction techniques / methods, researches /innovation in instruction
Development of a Non-formal Education Activity Model Based on Bohm’S Dialogue and Nonviolent Communication for Enhancing Intra-familial Communication Ability of Drug Rehabilitation Youths' Parents
Recently, the number of Thai adolescent drug addicts has dramatically increased. Most of the cases in adolescent drug abuse are linked to the respective family. It has been widely accepted that effective communication within a family helps reduce drug problems. This article describes a parental program that improves the intra-familial communication ability of drug rehabilitation youths’ parents. A non-formal education activity model that integrates Bohm’s dialogue and Nonviolent Communication is created in order to support family relationships. The four stages of the model are described. The paper concludes with nine instruments produced for measuring effectiveness of the family communication model by the parents and involved experts
Proposed Educational Administration Strategies for Schools Transferred from the Office of the Basic Education Commission to Subdistrict Administration Organizations
The purposes of this research were 1) to analyze educational administration conditions and problems of transferred schools from the office of the basic education commission (OBEC) to the sub district administration organization (SAO 2); to propose educational administration strategies for transferred school from OBEC to SAO using mixed methodology research. Unit of analysis in Quantitative study were 18 transferred schools. 350 samples were collected from SAO CEO, SAO DCEO, academics, school administrators, teachers and academic staffs, school committees, and parents, using questionnaires to survey the educational administration conditions of transferred school from OBEC to SAO. Data were analyzed using frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. A school, which was successful in educational administration, was selected for qualitative study in order to formulate strategies by using the SWOT analysis technique. Then the strategies were examined using a focus group technique. The research findings follow:The school administrative environment after school transferred from OBEC to SAO is higher than before school transferred in the statistical significant range of 0.05.The key success factors in educational administration include 1) A clear educational development plan, generated through participation processes and consistent with SAO‘s development plan, 2) Vision and Leadership of executive such as SAO CEO or educational principals, 3) Teachers and academic staffs working team, sharing and helping each other, 4) Sense of belonging in school, 5) Learning culture among school, community, and SAO.Proposed educational administration strategies for schools transferred from OBEC to SAO, called ―School and Community Based anagement: SCBM Strategy‖, consists of 3 policy strategies and 7 project strategies and 21 function strategies
INFLUENCE OF ASSESSMENT-SUPPORTED INSTRUCTIONAL MODEL ON STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT AND ABILITY IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN OKE-ERO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF KWARA STATE, NIGERIA
This study sought to find out effectiveness of Assessment-Supported Instructional Model (ASIM) on achievement and ability of English language students in Oke Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State. Quasi-experimental design was adopted in the study. Two research questions and two null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Two hundred students constituted the sample for the study. The experimental and control groups were taught topics in English language using ASIM and conventional methods respectively. English Language Achievement Test (ELAT) of 24 items was used for data collection. Mean and Standard Deviation were used to answer the research questions while ANCOVA was used to test null hypotheses at p < 0.05. The findings showed, among others, that ASIM was more effective in enhancing students’ achievement in English language than the conventional methods of teaching. The high ability students also achieved more than the low ability students in the achievement. There was significant interaction effect between instructions and ability group in achievement as shown by the study. Consequently, recommendations such as adoption of the model and sensitization and training of the teachers on its importance and usage were forwarded
