Invitro analysis of antifungal effects of botanicals on sclerotinia sclerotiorum causing white mold disease
White mold, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, is a devastating fungal plant pathogen that has affected many crop species worldwide. Using chemicals to control the disease has been practiced over the years, whose prolonged application has negatively impacted the environment, thus finding an organic solution is crucial. The analysis quantifies the effect of 5 different local plants that have been proven to have fungicidal properties; Artemisia vulgaris L., Azadirachta indica L., Zingiber officinale Roscoe, Allium sativum L., and Lantana camara L. Poisoned food technique was used to study the inhibition effect, carried out by inoculating and growing the fungus on PDA media infused with botanical extracts. The data of mycelial mat diameter was recorded till the control plates were fully occupied. The growth-inhibiting capacity was found as 100% by Allium sativum, 28% & 43% by Azadirachta indica, 22.44% & 44% by Zingiber officinale, and 16.33% & 8.55% by Lantana camara at 10% and 20% concentrations respectively. Only a slight difference between the overall inhibition effect of the two concentrations was found with 37.22% inhibition by 20% concentration and 33.38% inhibition by 10% concentration. No inhibition effect was observed from Artemisia vulgaris which could be due to heat neutralization of the active constituent during sterilization. Further research needs to be conducted using the botanical with different sterilization techniques. This in-vitro study identified garlic as a critical antifungal alternative to conventional fungicides. Field experiments need to be done to prove its effectiveness

Analysis of the issues that emerged in the revision of the national social studies curriculum in South Korea: Text mining and semantic network analysis of the comments at the public hearing on YouTube
In South Korea, curriculum is revised, made public and implemented under a system known as a nation led curriculum. The South Korean national curriculum was completely revised 10 times between 1946 and 2015. At present, a complete revision is underway to replace the current 2015 national curriculum which is called the 2022 revised national curriculum. This study aims to analyze stakeholders’ responses to the YouTube public hearing on social studies curriculum according to the 2022 revised national curriculum in South Korea in order to understand the context and causes of the issues that emerged. Text mining, semantic network analysis and word cloud techniques were employed to identify issues. As a result, three issues were identified in the social studies curriculum: the balanced development of general elective subjects in high school; the separation of social sciences and geography and division of textbooks in middle school social studies and the separate listing of four subjects, specifically geography, social sciences, history and morals. The issues revealed in this study provide beneficial implications for future social studies curriculum development, revision as well as the development of future research

Learning by doing: A teaching paradigm for active learning in Islamic high school
This research aims to explore the paradigm of applying learning by doing to create active learning in Islamic education. A combination of both quantitative and qualitative methods was used in this study. Data collection begins with qualitative data and continues with quantitative data. This flow is also known as exploratory sequential design. The study's findings indicate that the use of learning by doing in Islamic education creates a supportive and adaptable learning environment where students can develop their critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills through firsthand experience and other people's teachings. Second, learning by doing has a positive influence on students in Islamic education. The findings of the quantitative data analysis in the test (paired sample t-test) demonstrate a substantial difference between the results before and after implementing learning by doing performance-based learning. The degrees of freedom (dk), the magnitude of which is N-1 as well as 40-1 = 39 are the basis for determining the value of the t-table. The value of degrees of freedom 39 at a significant level of 5% is obtained by t-table 1.684. The results can be obtained with a count greater than the t-table namely 16,701 > 1,684 and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05 based on the results of the analysis of the t-test (paired sample t-test). So, it can be concluded that learning by doing can improve the ability to think creatively, logically, systematically and critically
