Sintesis dan Karakterisasi Hidroksiapatit Tulang Ikan Gurame (Osphronemus gouramy) Menggunakan Metode Destruksi
Hydroxyapatite is an inorganic compound consisting of calcium and phosphorus with the chemical formula Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, which has great potential as a bone implant material. Its bioactive, biocompatible and osteoconductive properties make hydroxyapatite able to interact with bone tissue naturally. Gourami fish bone waste, which is rich in calcium oxide (CaO), can be used as an alternative source for hydroxyapatite production. This research utilizes the potential of gourami fish bone waste as raw material in the synthesis of hydroxyapatite for bone implant applications. CaO from gourami fish bones was isolated using the digestion method and then synthesized by adding 2 M phosphoric acid (H3PO4) stirred at a speed of 700 rpm at a temperature of 40oC for 1 hour. This research aims to determine the elemental composition, functional groups, compound phases and surface shape of the synthesized samples. The results of XRF analysis show a Ca/P ratio of 0.9 and the results of FTIR analysis indicate the presence of hydroxyl groups (OH), phosphate groups (PO4) and carbonates (CO3) which are functional groups of hydroxyapatites but based on the XRD diffraction pattern it shows that there is an angle difference of 2θ between gourami fish bone hydroxyapatite with the comparison hydroxyapatite. SEM analysis showed diverse particle distribution in the synthesized hydroxyapatite
Uji Aktivitas Antioksidan Cuka Kulit Buah naga Merah (Selenicereus monacanthus (Lem.) D.R.Hunt)
The use of antioxidants can bolster the body\u27s natural defense mechanism against free radical reactions. Because it contains anthocyanins, the red dragon fruit skin may have antioxidant properties. One technique to cultivate red dragon fruit peels is to make vinegar preparations since they are commonly discarded. Researching the antioxidant activity of the red dragon fruit peel acetic and skin juice, as well as evaluating its preparation, are the main goals of this study. In this RAL (Complete Random Design) experiment, two variables were controlled: the length of time the fermentation process lasted (7 or 10 days) and the concentration of the juice (F1, 50 mL, F2, 100 mL, and F3, 150 mL). In order to measure antioxidant activity, the Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP) method was employed. In terms of vinegar preparations, the results demonstrated that the red dragon peel juice had an IC50 value of 193.78 μg/mL, with the highest IC50 value of 16.39 μg/mL obtained in the F1 fermented for 7 days. There is an unpleasant odor, a somewhat brownish-pink tint, a pH value between 4.78 and 5.73, an alcohol level between 0.1% and 0.3%, an acetic acid content between 1.37 and 2.67%, and a total sugar content between 0.99 and 1.08% in the vinegar. This shows that red dragon fruit peel vinegar preparations have the potential as an antioxidant
Uji Aktivitas Sitotoksik Ekstrak Etanol dan Fraksi Biji Alpukat (Persea americana Mill.) Terhadap Kanker Prostat Sel DU-145
Introduction: Cancer is one of the major health issues that contributes to high mortality rate globally,with prostate cancer being a notable example. Prostate cancer ranks second in terms of prevalence inboth Indonesia and globally. One of the treatments for prostate cancer is chemotherapy, which cancause various side effects. There is a need for alternative anticancer agents derived from naturalsources that are both effective and have minimal side effects. One such natural ingredient is avocadoseeds (Persea americana Mill.). Avocado seeds contain ursolic acid, betulinic acid, and lupeol, whichare part of the triterpenoid group. These three compounds have the ability to trigger apoptosis andinhibit the proliferation and metastasis of cancer cells. Objective: The aimed of this study was toevaluate the cytotoxic effects of avocado seed extracts and fractions (Persea americana Mill.) on DU-145 prostate cancer cells and to obtain the IC50 value. Method: The testing process involved extractionusing maceration, fractionation with ECC, and cytotoxicity testing using the prestoblue assay method,with eight variations of concentrations: 7.81, 15.62, 31.25, 62.5, 125, 250, 500, and 1000 ppm. The testresults showed that the IC50 value for the ethanol extract was 599.9 μg/mL, indicating weak cytotoxicactivity; for the water fraction, it was 428.2 μg/mL, also showing weak activity; the n-hexane fractionhad an IC50 of 79.42 μg/mL, demonstrating strong cytotoxic activity; and the ethyl acetate fraction hadan IC50 of 325.70 μg/mL, which also indicated weak activity against DU-145 prostate cancer cells.Conclusion: Compared to the ethanol extract, water fraction, and ethyl acetate fraction, the n-hexanefraction of avocado seeds has an IC50 value of <100 μg/mL, which is classified as having strongcytotoxic activity
PEMERIKSAAN GOLONGAN DARAH UNTUK MENGETAHUI TIPE GOLONGAN DARAH DI WILAYAH DESA NEGARASARI KECAMATAN CIPEDES KOTA TASIKMALAYA
Blood is a body component that has the most important role as a means of transportation in the human body. The existence of differences in genes inherited from parents makes each person have different blood types. Blood types based on the A-B-O system and the Rhesus (Rh) factor are very important to know. This is done to anticipate if one day they need a blood transfusion from another person. Many people do not know the type of blood type they have, such as in the Negarasari Village area, Cipedes District, Tasikmalaya City. The purpose of this activity is an initial screening to find out the type of blood type owned by the Community in Negarasari Village, Cipedes District, Tasikmalaya City. The method used in this activity is through socialization (counseling), examination and evaluation of the results of the examination. The results of the examination obtained blood types with a sample size of 95 respondents. Showing 25 respondents with blood type A, 25 respondents with blood type B, 12 respondents with blood type AB and 33 respondents with blood type O, and all respondents have positive rhesus. The conclusion of the blood type screening results in the Negarasari Village area, Cipedes District, Tasikmalaya City is that there are blood types A, B, AB, and O respectively as many as 26, 26, 13, and 35% with Rhesus + as many as 100%
PENYULUHAN BUDIDAYA JAMUR PAHA AYAM (COPRINUS COMATUS) SECARA TERPADU
Chicken thigh mushroom (Coprinus comatus) is a healthy food source with high nutritional value. This extension activity aims to improve participants\u27 understanding and skills in cultivating mushrooms based on local organic materials. This community service is aimed at increasing knowledge about integrated chicken thigh mushroom cultivation, with the main target participants from various regions of Indonesia through an online platform. This activity is carried out using an interactive presentation method, as well as discussions to improve participants\u27 understanding. The material presented includes an introduction to chicken thigh mushrooms, preparation of planting media, inoculation techniques, maintenance, post-harvest processing, and marketing strategies for harvested products. Participants are invited to attend activities in community service seminars and mushroom cultivation training activities. The number of participants who attended the online participants was 74 people who attended the seminar. The results of the activity showed high enthusiasm from the participants, as seen from the active discussion and participation in the practice of preparing planting media. Support from previous trial results gave participants confidence to implement this mushroom cultivation independently
SOSIALISASI PEMANFAATAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI DALAM MENDIAGNOSIS STUNTING DI DESA KARANGHARJA KECAMATAN PEBAYURAN KABUPATEN BEKASI
The era of digitalization has penetrated all fields, including the health sector. Health is the main thing in a community\u27s survival, such as reducing malnutrition and stunting. This service aims to provide counseling, outreach, and use of information technology in the form of an expert system for diagnosing malnutrition and stunting in Karangharja Village, Pebayuran District, Bekasi Regency. This service is carried out using counseling and outreach methods to village communities in terms of awareness of healthy living and providing outreach to their relatives. This counseling and outreach were the idea of community service by providing knowledge to the community, which was attended by more than 20 people, including the village head and his staff. In this outreach, we provide education about stunting, its dangers, and mitigation, and we introduce a web-based expert system for diagnosing malnutrition and stunting. As a result of this service, 65% of the community understands the socialization and education on the use of information technology so that it will have an impact on good and healthy families
PELATIHAN TEKNIK OPTIMASI PEMASARAN ONLINE UNTUK UMKM DI DESA KARANGMUKTI SALAWU BERSAMA KARANG TARUNA MUSTIKA RAHAYU
The purpose of this community service is to increase the capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) actors in Karangmukti Salawu Village, Tasikmalaya Regency, through education about digital marketing. In today\u27s digital era, many MSMEs have not utilized technology to market their products effectively. Therefore, this activity was designed to provide knowledge and skills in using digital platforms as a marketing tool. Karang Taruna “Mustika Rahayu,” as part of the youth community in Karangmukti Village, has great potential to support MSMEs in adopting technology and utilizing digital marketing systems. Through this educational program, it is hoped that MSME players can understand and implement digital marketing strategies effectively and efficiently so as to increase their business competitiveness through specially designed assistance through the introduction and training of online marketing optimization techniques as an answer to practical solutions to improve their ability to compete in the digital market. With this training, members of MSMEs in Karangmukti Village with Karang Taruna “Mustika Rahayu” gained insight into the implementation of online marketing optimization
POTENSI ANTIOKSIDAN SEDIAAN DRY SYRUP EKSTRAK BUAH HONJE LAKA (Etlingera elatior (Jack) R.M. Sm) DENGAN KOPIGMENTASI ASAM SITRAT
ABSTRACTHonje laka fruit (Etlingera elatior (Jack) R.M.Sm) contains flavonoid compounds that are effective as antioxidants. Flavonoids are secondary metabolites that are unstable because they are easily oxidised. This study aims to obtain a dry syrup preparation of honje laka extract to increase shelf life, fulfil the parameters of dry syrup preparation and determine its antioxidant potential. Honje laka was macerated with 1.2% citric acid copigment in 70% ethanol solvent: HCl 1% (10:1). The dry syrup preparation formula of honje laka extract consists of copigmented extract, and extract without copigmentation, the drying method using freeze dry. The results of the evaluation of dry syrup preparations fulfil the evaluation parameters of dry syrup preparations with antioxidant potential as a very strong IC50 value is the dry syrup preparation of copigmentation extract, the other formulas have strong antioxidant potential. Based on the hedonic test of the colour of the preparation, formula A was the most preferred formula by the panelists. Flavonoid merupakan metabolit sekunder yang tidak stabil karena mudah teroksidasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh sediaan dry syrup ekstrak honje laka untuk meningkatkan umur simpan, memenuhi parameter sediaan dry syrup serta mengetahui potensi antioksidannya. Honje laka dimaserasi dengan kopigmen asam sitrat 1,2% dalam pelarut etanol 70% : HCl 1 % ( 10:1). Formula sediaan dry syrup ekstrak honje laka terdiri dari ekstrak kopigmentasi, dan ekstrak tanpa kopigmentasi, metode peneringan menggunakan freeze dry. Hasil evaluasi sediaan dry syrup memenuhi parameter evaluasi sediaan dry syrup dengan potensi antioksidan sebagai nilai IC50 yang sangat kuat adalah sediaan dry syrup ekstrak kopigmentasi, formula yang lainnya memiliki potensi antioksidan kuat. Berdasarkan uji hedonik terhadap warna sediaan, formula A merupakan formula yang paling disukai oleh panelis. Pengaruh Pijat Tuina terhadap Peningkatan Berat Badan Balita di Desa Ngrandu Kecamatan Geyer Kabupaten Grobogan
Latar Belakang: Masa balita merupakan bagian penting dan masa kritis dari proses pertumbuhan untuk menentukan perkembangan fisik serta mental di masa depan. Peningkatan berat badan dan ukuran lingkar kepala merupakan indikator penting dalam memantau pertumbuhan anak balita 1. Pada anak yang mengalami kurang berat badan, pijat tuina dapat memperbaiki sirkulasi darah dalam sistem pencernaan, merangsang peningkatan nafsu makan, mengoptimalkan absorpsi nutrisi serta mendukung peningkatan berat badan 2. Fokus penelitian ini adalah perlakuan pijat tuina sebagai salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan anak balita.Tujuan: penelitian ini ingin melihat apakah pijat tuina dapat meningkatkan berat badan balita.Metode: Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-eksperimen dengan menggunakan metode pretest dan posttest without control. Responden penelitian menggunakan 22 balita umur 1 sampai 5 tahun dengan berat badan kurang dari usianya. Pengambilan sampel penelitian sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi yaitu balita yang bertempat tinggal di desa ngrandu dan orangtua bersedia apabila anaknya menjadi responden, sedangkan kriteria eksklusi adalah balita yang sedang sakit dan memiliki penyakit akut atau kronik. Penelitian ini hanya menggunakan kelompok intervensi, yaitu pijat tuina yang diberikan sekali selama 6 hari berturut-turut dengan 8 gerakan pemijatan selama 15 menit.Hasil: Hasil uji paired t test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (p-value) sebesar (0.000), yang kurang dari 0.05. Artinya, terdapat perbedaan berat badan antara nilai pretest dan posttest pemberian pijat tuina.Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan uji statistik, intervensi pijat tuina memiliki efek signifikan pada berat badan balita. Artinya, pijat tuina efektif meningkatkan berat badan balita di Desa Ngrandu Kecamatan Geyer Kabupaten Grobogan. Kata Kunci : Pijat Tuina; Berat Badan; Balita
FORMULASI DAN PENETAPAN KADAR FENOL PADA SEDIAAN SERBUK INSTAN BIJI COKLAT (Theobroma cacao L.) DAN BUAH KURMA (Phoenix dactylifera L.) SEBAGAI MINUMAN ANTIOKSIDAN
ABSTRACT The amount of pollution in Indonesia causes viruses to enter freely in the body which interferes with the immune system. Immune system disorders can be prevented with antioxidant compounds, one of which is phenol contained in cocoa beans and dates in instant powder preparations. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical quality and phenol content of instant powder of cocoa beans and dates as an antioxidant drink. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with test parameters including organoleptic, moisture content, ash content, phenol content, phenol content and antioxidant activity. The results of the organoleptic test showed that the instant powder had a distinctive aroma of chocolate and dates, had a bitter taste and had a brown color. The results of the instant powder moisture content test successively, namely1.61 ± 0.01%;1.58 ± 0.01%;1.62 ± 0.01%. The instant powder ash content test results were successively 1.05 ± 0.02%; 1.06 ± 0.03%; 1.05±0.03%. The test results for the positive instant powder content contained phenol as indicated by the formation of a black-green color. The levels of polyphenols in instant powder were 101.52 ± 0.4 mgGAE/g; 92.62 ± 0.6 mgGAE/g; 71.50 ± 0.2 mgGAE/g. Standard antioxidant activity of gallic acid is classified as very strong with an IC50 value of 20.39 ppm while instant powder is classified as a strong antioxidant category with an IC50 value of 86.03 ppm respectively; 88.82 ppm; and 97.83 ppm. Keywords: phenol, antioxidant, instant powder, cocoa bean, date fruit ABSTRAK Banyaknya polusi di Indoneisa menyebabkan virus dapat masuk bebas dalam tubuh yang mengganggu sistem imun. gangguan sisitem imun dapat dicegah dengan senyawa antioksidan, salah satunya adalah fenol yang terkandung dalam biji coklat dan buah kurma pada sediaan serbuk instan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui mutu fisik dan kadar fenol serbuk instan biji coklat dan buah kurma sebagai minuman antioksidan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan parameter uji meliputi organoleptik, kadar air, kadar abu, kandungan fenol, kadar fenol dan aktivitas antioksidan. Hasil uji organoleptik menunjukkan serbuk instan beraroma khas coklat dan kurma, rasa pahit dan berwarna coklat. Hasil uji kadar air serbuk instan secara berturut-turut yaitu 1,61 ± 0,01%; 1,58 ± 0,01%; 1,62 ± 0,01%. Hasil uji kadar abu serbuk instan secara berturut-turut yaitu 1,05 ± 0,02%; 1,06 ± 0,03%; 1,05±0,03%. Hasil uji kandungan serbuk instan positif mengandung fenol yang ditunjukkan dengan terbentuknya warna hijau kehitaman. Kadar polifenol dalam serbuk instan secara berturut-turut yaitu 101,52 ± 0,4 mgGAE/g; 92,62 ± 0,6 mgGAE/g; 71,50 ± 0,2 mgGAE/g. Aktivitas antioksidan standar asam galat tergolong kategori sangat kuat dengan nilai IC50 20,39 ppm sedangkan serbuk instan tergolong kategori antioksidan kuat dengan nilai IC50 secara berturut-turut yaitu 86,03 ppm; 88,82 ppm; dan 97,83 ppm.
