Kompetensi Pedagogik dan Kompetensi Profesionl Guru: Kontribusi Terhadap Peningkatan Hasil Belajar
The prupose of this study was to determine the contribution of pedagogic competence and professional competence of biology teachers of the improvement of student achievement in class x high school in the district of Soe City, South Central Timor District, the sample used was 12 teachear with the criteria of being a civil servant, experienced teaching and certified educators from 6 scholls with he number of school students were 60 students from in 2 parallel classes. The method used in this research is quantitative research with multiple linear analysis using the F test, t test and calculating the simultancous determination cocfficicnt R2 wich is processedusing the SPSSfor windos 16.0 applications. Data collection techniques use questionnaires for teachers and tests for studenst to get primary data. The results showed that the contribution of biology teacher’s pedagogic competence of the first partial correlation with t test showed sig. 0,007 < 0, 05, meaning that pedagogic competence (X1) was constant or influential on learning achievement (Y) and professional kompetence of biology teacher’s on the results of partial correlation second with t test show sig value 0,009 < 0,05 means that professional competence (X2) is constant, or influential on learning achievement (Y), so that the influence of pedagogic competence and professional competence of biology teacher’s together is 70% remaining 30% are other factor not examined by researchers
Perbedaan Hasil Belajar Siswa yang Menggunakan Multimedia Interaktif dengan Buku Teks dalam Pembelajaran Biologi di SMA
Learning is a process that requires resources as a support in the success of learning. As an educator, teachers must be careful in choosing the learning resources needed by students, so that the learning process can be achieved according to the purpose of learning. But in fact, the learning that teachers do in schools is still not utilizing the media as an appropriate learning resource for students, especially in the understanding of abstract biological concepts that require supporting media for student learning. This study aims to describe differences in student learning outcomes that use interactive multimedia with textbooks in biology learning at senior high school. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental, with Control Group Pretest - Posttest Design. Population in this research is class XI-MIPA I and XI-MIPA II. Class XI-MIPA I as experimental class and class XI-MIPA II as control class. The data were obtained by using a multiple choice test instrument of 30 questions. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest it was found that the average value of the experimental class was greater than the control class. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes that use interactive multimedia with textbooks in biology learning at senior high school
Perkembangan Keterampilan Komunikasi dan Kolaborasi Mahasiswa dalam Pembelajaran Inkuiri Berorientasi Entrepreneurship pada Mata Kuliah Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan
The paradigm of learning science, including biology continues to show a fundamental shift. Biology is taught not only through conventional inquiry, but also inquiry that envisions the debriefing of student lifelong learning. One strategy that can build this vision is through entrepreneurship oriented inquiry learning programs. In the mechanism, learning is designed into four stages based on conformity with indicators of entrepreneurship, i.e. stage I (basic), stage II (development), stage III (advance), and stage IV (professional). In the learning experience, students are provided with a variety of skills in a comprehensive manner in accordance with the standards of lifelong learning, among which those that will be studied in this paper are Communication and Collaboration Skills. These two standards become important things to study, because learning biology must not only be scientific but also students must be able to communicate their ideas and be able to build teamwork in solving problems. This research was conducted on the V semester students of the Biology Education Department in one teachers college in Central Java who took part in the course on Plant Diversity. The samples involved in the data collection were 31 people. Data was collected using observation sheets and questionnaires in the form of the Communication & Collaboration rubric adapted from Marzano's framework lifelong learning. There are six items in the rubric that represent data, three of which are about Communication Skills and three about Collaboration. The results of the study showed that on average the Communication Skills of students based on the results of observations had developed at each stage, i.e. stage I (2.45), stage II (2.83), stage III (3.17), and stage IV (3.54). In accordance with the Collaboration data students showed significant developments, i.e. stage I (2.47), stage II (2.89), stage III (3.32), and stage IV (3.60). Based on the results of the questionnaire collected before and after learning, the data showed a significant increase in both communication and collaboration skills. Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Snowball Throwing terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Materi Perubahan Sifat Benda di Kelas V SD Negeri Prapag Kidul 01 Kecamatan Losari Kabupaten Brebes
Masalah yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran IPA, sehingga hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran IPA masih ada yang belum memenuhi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) sebesar 70. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, maka peneliti melakukan upaya agar pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran IPA menerapkan model pembelajaran snowball throwing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan respon siswa pada model pembelajaran snowball throwing terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA materi perubahan sifat benda di kelas V SD Negeri Prapag Kidul 01 Kecamatan Losari Kabupaten Brebes. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V sebanyak 24 siswa, sedangkan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampling yaitu dengan menggunakan sampel jenuh, dengan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu eksperimen dan kontrol dengan jumlah 12 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran snowball throwing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPA. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil angket respon siswa dan uji hipotesis, berdasarkan hasil angket respon positif siswa terhadap model pembelajaran snowball throwing dari 12 siswa memperoleh sebesar 81,6% atau dengan kriteria sangat kuat. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis pada uji N-Gain diperoleh kelompok eksperimen sebesar 84,93 sedangkan kelompok kontrol sebesar 52,37 dari hasil tersebut 84,93>52,37selain itu berdasarkan uji T independent samples test memperoleh nilai (α) 0,025 > P value 0,000, maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak atau artinya model pembelajaran snowball throwing berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPA materi perubahan sifat benda pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Prapag Kidul 01 Kecamatan Losari Kabupaten Brebes
Uji Toksisitas Oral Akut Single Dose Filtrat Buah Luwingan (Ficus hispida L.f.) pada Tikus (Rattus norvegicus Berkenhout, 1769) Galur Wistar
Genus Ficus is important plant for health benefits. Hairy fig (F. hispida) trees grow abundantly in tropical regions and fruiting throughout the year. In West Asian countries, the fruit is commonly used as food and medicinal materials. However, in Indonesia, the fruit has not been utilized. First step in exploring the potential of natural resources for consumption is toxicity test to provide information about safety and adverse effects. This research was aimed to study acute oral toxicity of young and ripe hairy fig fruits using Wistar rats as model. Procedure followed OECD Guideline Test No.420 with modification. Pure filtrate (100 %) of young or ripe fruits were administered orally at volume 1 mL/individual on day-0 in fasting animals. Control received distilled water in the same way. Parameters observed including mortality, sublethal effects, behavior/activities, body weight, complete blood count, as well as evaluation of liver, heart, and renal functions. Results showed that values for all variables fluctuated during the experiment but eventually back into normal range. However, the number of lymphocytes elevated until the end of experiment (day-14) thus increased the total leukocytes count. Accordingly, we are preparing to conduct further toxicity tests to investigate this finding.

Analisis Kegiatan dan Persepsi Mahasiswa Calon Guru Biologi Terhadap Kegiatan Kuliah Praktik Lapangan Zoologi Vertebrata
The purpose of this study was to determine student perceptions of vertebrate zoological field study at LIPI Cibinong. The research method used is a descriptive method with survey techniques. The survey was conducted on 52 students of Biology Education department at UIN SGD Bandung. The results showed that 80.2% of students gave positive perceptions of vertebrate zoology field study because according to the students this field study could increase the meaningful learning, expand knowledge about vertebrate zoology, and strengthen the intimacy between students. Also, students believe that the field study is an implementation of Edutainment activities.
 
Profil Miskonsepsi Siswa dalam Materi Sistem Ekskresi melalui Penugasan Peta Konsep
Miskonsepsi siswa dalam Mata Pelajaran Biologi disebabkan pada proses pembelajaran sebagian guru kurang memperhatikan konsep awal yang dimiliki siswa sehingga mereka sulit mempelajari konsep baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil miskonsepsi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sliyeg Indramayu pada materi sistem ekskresi melalui penugasan peta konsep. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif dan desain penelitiannya yaitu Pre-Experimental Designdengan bentuk One-shot Case Study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sliyeg Indramayu yang terdiri dari empat kelas dengan jumlah siswa 145 orang.Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik penarikan sampel Purposive Samplingdan diperoleh sampel yaitu kelas XI MIPA 4. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes pilihan ganda beralasan disertai dengan CRI (Certainty of Respon Index)untuk mengeyahui miskonsepsi siswa dan angket untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap peta konsep. Setelah dilakukan pengolahan data, didapatkan hasil bahwa telah terjadi miskonsepsi siswa dalam kategori rendah pada materi sistem ekskresi dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 18,8%. Hasilmiskonsepsi tersebut berhubungan dengan peta konsep yang dibuat siswa
Analisis Budidaya Usaha Ikan Nila (Oreochronis niloticus) di Kelurahan Rewarangga Selatan, Kecamatan Ende Timur, Kabupaten Ende
Peningkatan jumlah penduduk setiap tahun di Kabupaten Ende mendorong peningkatan kebutuhan ikan konsumsi. Permintaan ikan yang sangat tinggi ditunjukan dengan adanya pasokan ikan dari luar kabupaten, terutama dari Kabupaten Flores Timur dan Kabupaten Sikka. Salah satu upaya alternatif dengan melakukan usaha budidaya ikan air tawar. Aktivitas budidaya ikan Nila di Kelurahan Rewarangga Selatan, Kecamatan Ende Timur dilakukan dengan pengetahuan dan teknologi sederhana. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis usaha jangka pendek dan jangka panjang usaha budidaya ikan Nila. Penelitian survei dengan teknik purposive sampling untuk memilih secara pasti suatu tempat penelitian dan teknik total sampling atau sensus untuk penentuan responden. Dalam penelitian ini, jumlah responden sebanyak 5 orang sebagai pemilik unit usaha budidaya ikan Nila. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, usaha budidaya ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) di Kelurahan Rewarangga Selatan, memberikan keuntungan rata-rata sebesar Rp 61.192.400 per tahun dengan Imbangan Penerimaan dan Biaya (R/C) sebesar 2,38 dan waktu yang diperlukan untuk pengembalian dana yang diinvestasikan (PP) selama 0,49 tahun. Kemampuan dari modal untuk menghasilkan keuntungan bersih (ROI) sebesar 203%. Usaha Budidaya Ikan Nila ini merupakan usaha yang layak dikembangkan karena memiliki nilai NPV > 0 yaitu sebesar Rp 161.185.453, nilai IRR < tingkat suku bunga yaitu sebesar 2,02% dan nilai Net B/C > 1 sebesar 6,35
Kajian Pemanfaatan Mikroalga Dunaliella salina sebagai Bahan Fortifikasi Pangan dengan Pendekatan Bioekonomi Kelautan
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan mikroalga Dunaliella salina sebagai bahan fortifikasi pangan yang diharapkan di masa yang akan datang kecukupan pangan dan gizi masyarakat dapat terpenuhi dengan pendekatan bioekonomi kelautan. Dunaliella salina termasuk salah satu jenis fitoplankton dalam kelas Chlorophyceae (alga hijau) yang disebut flagellata hijau bersel satu (green unicellulair flagellata). D. salina dikenal sebagai mikroalga yang kaya akan sumber kandungan β-karoten alami dan nutrisi yang sangat baik sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk fortifikasi bahan pangan yang dapat dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Trend kedepan, diprediksi bahwa Indonesia mampu memproduksi mikroalga dalam jumlah yang cukup besar, dengan biaya lebih murah, dan produk yang dihasilkan dapat diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat Indonesia terutama sebagai bahan fortifikasi pangan. Penggunaan teknik kultivasi pada kondisi stres dapat dimanipulasi secara khusus untuk mengoptimalkan produksi pigmen karotenoid dan kultivasi pada kondisi optimal dapat meningkatkan produksi biomasa mikroalga Dunaliella salina. Pemanfaatan mikroalga D. salina sebagai bahan fortifikasi pangan dapat diaplikasikan dalam bentuk serbuk, tablet, kapsul, minuman kaleng, permen dan bahan campuan yang ditambahkan pada makanan lainnya seperti mie instan dan komoditas utama lain untuk meningkatkan nilai gizi dalam kehidupan di masyarakat. Pengaruh Model Learning Cycle 7E terhadap Keterampilan Generik Sains Siswa pada Materi Pencemaran Lingkungan di SMP NEGERI 1 Balongan Indramayu

This research was a quantitative research using True-Experimental Design design with Posttest-Only Control Group design. The population in this study is the entire class VII SMP Negeri 1 Balongan indramayu consisting of 11 classes with a total of 352 students. Sampling technique using Probability Sampling technique Cluster Random Sampling type obtained grade VII H as experimental group and grade VII A as control group. Instrument in this research in the form of test of skill of generic science skill student which amounted to 5 problem. Based on the research result, it was found that the average in the experimental class is 74 and the control class is 63,75. With a significant level (α) = 0.05 and degrees of freedom (db) 62 obtained tcount = 28.29 and ttable = 2,000. Because tcount> ttable, then reject Ho. This means that the 7E learning cycle model influences the generic skills of students' science on environmental pollution material in SMP Negeri 1 Balongan Indramayu
