Implementation of Discovery Learning in Human Digestive System Learning for Grade VIII Students
Student learning outcomes in learning in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta is still low. Factors causing low learning outcomes include not using any learning model and still being teacher-centered. This study aimed to determine the effect of Discovery learning learning models on student learning outcomes in the digestive system material class VIII at SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta. This type of research is a quasi-experiment. This study's population were all VIII grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta consisting of five classes, namely classes A, B, C, D, and E, with 140 students. In this study, purposive sampling was conducted based on certain considerations so that 2 class samples were obtained, namely class VIII C as the control class and VIII E as the experimental class. Data collection techniques with tests. Data collection instruments were in the form of pretest and posttest questions. The analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative. Research Results Learning outcomes were analyzed by t-test statistics at the level of significance 5% obtained t-count 0.302 and t-table = 2.01063, so t-count < t-table. Therefore, the Discovery learning model does not affect the learning outcomes of VIII grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta
The Effect of Problem Solving Model Towards Higher Order Thinking Skills and Students Learning Activities
This study aims to determine the influence of the application of Problem Solving Model towards higher order thinking skills and learning activities of Class X students in SMAN 3 Bukittinggi. This type of research is an experimental study with a Random Design Only Posttest Design Group. The research subjects were 32 students of Class X MIPA 2 SMAN 3 Bukittinggi who were registered in the 2019/2020 school year. The research instrument for obtaining high order thinking skills data is an objective form of question sheet, while the learning activities data obtained through the observation sheet filled by observers. The results showed the average value obtained in the class applied the Problem Solving Model was 76.06. This value is higher when compared to the average value in the control class, which is 66.19. Learning activities of students with the application of the Problem Solving Model, namely for oral activity 73.44%, visual activity 93.76%, and writing activity 96.88%. This percentage is also higher than the control class which has a percentage of 42.19%, 84.38%, and 75%. Based on the results of the study, it can be conclude that the Problem Solving Model has a significant positive effect on the increase in high order thinking skills and learning activities of Class X students of SMAN 3 Bukittinggi.

Learning Media in Pandemic: Autoplay Media Studio Added Stretching Motion to Evaluation Digestive System Subject
Development of learning media with Autoplay Media Studio program accompanied by instructions for warm-up body in answering evaluations is based on the fact that during the Covid-19 pandemic this limited all student activity and learning. The decrease in the activity of student will disrupt the body's metabolism because just live at home or boarding house so that it is difficult to learn and even understand material when online lecturing. The addition of exercise warm-up instruction to this learning media aims to make students not only learn to understand material, but also practice their bodies during pandemic period they can still maintain body fitness. Development method uses five stages called the ADDIE model. Products in the form of media containing digestive system material with various types of data in the form of writing, images and videos combined in one compact disk. Two validators conducted an assessment of the correctness of the material content and media appearance. The results of media validation get a 98.61% and material validation get 98.53% score with very valid criteria and not revised. Results of product trials on 25 students showed 96% of students rated the appearance of the media as attractive and 4% rated the display in medium criteria. The use of media accompanied by warm-up movements, including the criteria for helping students learn independently in pandemic, was expressed by 68% of students, 24% of students stated that media was included in the medium criteria and 8% of students stated that the media could not help
Improving Students Critical Thinking through STEAM-PjBL Learning
The industrial revolution 4.0 era affected people’s lives, as well as the education system and student learning. The world of education must be able to create and design learning life skills for the 21st century, which one of it is critical thinking skills. Efforts are made by applying the STEAM approach and using the PjBL model. The research was carried out at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Wuluhan Jember, control class VII B and experiment class VII A. Material KD. 3.8 Analyzing the occurence of environmental pollution and its impact on the ecosystem. The result of the sig (2-tailed) value is 0.046, which indicates that hypotesis is accepted. To be conclude, the STEAM approach and PjBL model have a positive affect on students’ critical thinking skills
Improving Student Biology Learning Outcomes through STAD Type Cooperative Learning on Plant Material
The learning process carried out at school is expected to be able to increase the learning activities and learning outcomes of students. Student biology learning outcomes and activities at SMAN 1 Koto XI Tarusan are still not satisfactory. The methods and strategies used so far have not been able to improve students' learning activities and outcomes. One of the efforts to increase the activities and learning outcomes of students is through STAD type cooperative learning and the internet as a source of teaching materials. This research was conducted in the even semester of Academic Year 2011/2012 in Class X.7 of SMAN 1 Koto XI Tarusan. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research data were obtained through observation sheets and learning outcomes tests given at the end of the cycle. The results of the analysis of the data cycle I and cycle II showed an increase in student learning activities and learning outcomes. Student learning activities have increased by 8%, and student learning outcomes have increased by 10%. It can be concluded that the use of STAD cooperative learning types and the internet as a source of teaching materials can increase the activity and learning outcomes of students in class X.7 of SMAN 1 Koto XI Tarusan
Effect of Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Head Together (NHT) to Social Attitudes Toward Competency Seventh Grade Students of SMPN 1 Padang
Learning science in SMPN 1 Padang has been running pretty well in accordance with the curriculum of 2013. However, there are still shortcomings in the aspect of attitude. Such as low self-care among others, mutual esteem is very low when friends come forward, attitudes tend to be selfish and apathetic attitude towards the environment, resulting in low competence of the social attitudes of learners. One of the ways that teachers can do is to implement cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together (NHT). This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) the competence of the social attitudes of students of class VII SMPN 1 Padang. This study was an experimental study with a quasi-experimental methods (quasi-experimental). The study population was the students of class VII SMPN 1 Padang. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with learners VII.D class as the control class and the class as a class experiment VII.E. The instrument used is the observation sheet attitude competence of learners. The result shows that there are improvement of students social attitude competence after using NHT in class VII SMPN 1 Padang. Factors include are discussed
Development of Handout with Magazine Display which Features by Concept Map about Interaction of Living Things and The Environment for Student of Class VII SMP
Handout can be presented with a magazine display with concept maps. Pursuant to this matter done research with purpose to produce form handout with magazine display which have concept map about interaction of living creature and its environment of student class VII SMPN 12 Padang valid andpractical. This research is a research development conduted at FMIPA UNP and SMPN 12 Padang using model of development of Plomp 2013, that is initial investigation stage, development stage or prototype making and assessment phase. Handout validated by 3 lecturers department of Biology FMIPA UNP, 1 teacher Biology SMPN 12 Padang. Data in this research, data obtained from questionnaire of validity test and practice test. Data includes are primary data. The research produced a handout with magazine display with concept map about the interaction of living creatures and the environment for student of class VII SMP which is categorized with value 4,45 and stated very practical with 4,28 value by teacher and very practicalwith value 4,49 by learners
Effect of Discovery Learning with Science Literacy Toward Students Sains Learning Competences at VII Grade
Student's learning competency which mostly still under Minimum Criterion. This is caused by lack of preparation of student in face of learning process and also more dominated by teacher centered), so the less effective learning process. These problems can be solved by applying discovery learning models containing literacy science. This research is an experimental research with randomized control group design posttest only design. The population of this study is all of the class VII registered in the academic year 2017/2018. The sample was taken by purposive sampling technique that is class VII1 as control class and class VII3 as experiment class. The research instrument used is posttest for knowledge competence and affective and psychomotor observation sheet to see students' affective and psychomotor competence. Hypothesis in this study was tested using t test. The result of the research, concluded that the application of discovery learning model of science literacy can improve the learning competence of science (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) students of class VII
Experimental Student’s Worksheet with Scientific Approach for Student Grade X Semester I SMA/MA
The curriculum 2013 emphasize the learning with scientific approach. The experiment is the best studying activity to develop the student’s skills and processes because involve five approaches. One of the supporting tools used in an experiment is a student’s worksheet as the guidance. Based on this need, the research was conducted to yield the valid and practical experimental student’s worksheet with scientific approach for senior high school student grade X semester 1. This research utilised the 4-D (four-D) development models which are consist of 4 steps; defining, designing, and developing. The defining step including on pre-analysis and post-analysis, students analysis, and assignment analysis. The designing step was conducted to designed the experiment’s worksheet with scientific approach. In the developing step, the validity of worksheet was examined by 5 validator and practicality test by 2 teachers and 31 students grade X of MAN 1 Padang. The primary data obtained from validity and practicality questionnaire were analysed with descriptive analysis. It can concluded that the student’s worksheet of experiment with scientific approach which have developed for students grade X semester 1 have the very valid and practical criteria
Multiple Intellegences of Social Sciences and Linguistics Students Grade X Crossing Biology Interest
Multiple intelligences are the development of intelligence of the brain or intelligence quotient (IQ), emotional intelligence or emotional quotient (EQ), and spiritual intelligence or Spiritual Quotient (SQ). The intelligence consists of nine levels of intelligence is known as the Multiple Intelligences (MI) which includes: linguistic intelligence, mathematical-logical intelligence, visual spatial intelligence, physical-kinesthetic intelligence, musical intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, naturalist intelligence, and existential lntelligence. This theory shows that there is no human activity that uses only one intelligence, but uses all intelligence that exists in humans. Intelligence is a single talent that students use in situations of solving any problem. Every student has a different intelligence. This is because there are several factors that influence it, namely the hereditary factor, interest factor, formation factor, maturity factor, and freedom factor.This research are descriptive study which aims to reveal the level of MI of social sciences and linguistcs student grade X crossing biology interest at SMAN 1V Koto KampungDalam. Results of the study, it was faund that the most dominant intelligence in social science students is naturalist intelligence. In the linguistics scienscestudents, the most dominant intelligence is existential intelligence
