Get PDFStraipsnyje pristatomi1990–2000 metų laikotarpiu Lietuvos laikraščiuose publikuotų tekstų apie lytis semantinės analizės, remiantis statistiniais duomenimis, rezultatai. Iš viso išanalizuoti 749 straipsniai, kuriuose aprašomi vyrai (363 tekstai) ir moterys (386 tekstai). Tyrimu siekta nustatyti lyčių vaizdavimo tekstuose ypatybes per pirmąjį Lietuvos nepriklausomybės dešimtmetį. ASSESSMENT OF QUALITY OF LIFE OF RETIRED POPULATION
Get PDFQuality of life (QoL) is a concept that characterizes the material and spiritual comfort of human existence. In the medical sense, the term is associated with health. In Kazakhstan, as in many other countries is happening a process of increasing of the part of population in retirement age. The objective of this study was to assess the QoL of retired population in Kazakhstan. Current data acquisition was realized by questionnaire respondents by SF-36 questionnaire. The survey covered 203 respondents. The study population was formulated by the method of random selection. Statistical analysis of data was performed using methods of variation statistics. All indicators of scales SF-36 were above average. General indicators: physical (PH) and mental (MH) well-being were assessed as not large less than average (42.6/43.2). The male population of the retirement age had better scores on all eight SF-36 scales compared to the female population. Indicators of QoL of working population were assessed higher than indicators of nonworking population. Also, it was found that presence of job positively influences to the QoL of retired population. THE PECULIARITIES OF MANAGEMENT OF ORGANIZATIONAL-METHODOLOGICAL ACTIVITY IN SPORT SCHOOL
Get PDFThe paper is concerned with the characterization and analysis of organizational-methodological activity and the structure of management in sport schools of Latvia. The components of the structure of management of training young sportsmen are identified. The characterization of the educational process in sport schools and its structural blocks is provided. Though the Ministry of Education and Science in Latvia implements programs aimed at promoting physical activities among children and youth, the proportion of learners, whose level of physical activities would be satisfactory, decreases every year. The analysis of scientific-methodological literature and sport school activities in Latvia has provided a sound basis for the scientific substantiation of the new model of contemporary sport school, whose components form a mutually interacting complex. MANAGING BLOOD DONORSHIP: THE EFFECT OF MOTIVATION ON DONOR SATISFACTION AND LOYALTY
Get PDFIncreasing demand on blood supply and attempts of blood collecting agencies in recruiting and retaining blood donors require deeper knowledge of existing factors driving donor behaviour. This research address the need to explore the relationship of factors driving donor behaviour – motivation, satisfaction and loyalty. The objective of this study is to explore the conceptual model representing the effect of donor motivation on satisfaction, attitudinal loyalty and behavioural loyalty in the specific context of social marketing impact. Model, based on structural equation modeling technique was developed using the data of donor population of the nationwide blood collecting agency. Study empirically confirmed the causal positive effect of donor motivation on attitudinal loyalty, behavioural loyalty and relationship satisfaction. Study also revealed the main motives for donation relevant to the surveyed donor population. No full textThird issue this year is full of interesting articles discussing various scientific problems. Regional questions were analyzed by V. Atkočiūnienė and E. Štareikė by discussing stakeholders in rural areas, and also by S. F. Svilas whose ideas on regional development problems said during 11th Session of UNESCO General Conference are also in this issue. P. Gajewska and K. Piskrzyńska provided unorthodox point of view on measuring quality of maternity services, while Š. Banevičiaus in his article brings us innovative medical tourism aspects. The Pro-Enviromental policy implementation problem in small and medium-sized buildings is evaluated by E. Dziawgo, while M. Kotseva-Tikova considers the situation around renewable energy in Bulgaria. In this issue there’s quite a few articles evaluating business problems and available solutions, starting with T. Sander and B. Sloka on motivators to recommend social network contacts to employer. M. Kučinskienė, D. Baliūnas question of dispersion of the spillover potential in business organizations; K. Michelberg questions on corporate governance effects on firm performance and lastly R. Viederytė shares her thoughts about organizational and process innovations in international logistics companies and gives food for thought on private organizational matters. Furthermore there are articles that should also be useful to the public sector like A. Žernytė, V. Burkšienė, E. DEVELOPMENTS IN HARBOUR CONSTRUCTION, INFRASTRUCTURE AND TOPOGRAPHY ON THE EVE OF THE EARLY MODERN AGE IN THE BALTIC (1450-1600)

Therefore, the development of ship construction is pretty much connected with that of harbour construction, and beyond this, they influence the topography and infrastructure of a harbour. The transition between the Medieval period and the Early Modern Age is a period of great change in the development of larger ships, even in the Baltic. Furthermore, the internationalisation of Baltic trade took place. In Medieval times, ship construction followed conditions in the harbours. In the Early Modern Age, it was the other way round. Now, harbour construction, topography and infrastructure follow the development of ship construction. Get PDFStraipsnyje atskleidžiamas profesinio mokymo įstaigų darbuotojų požiūris į Lietuvospirminio profesinio mokymo įvaizdį, išryškinami veiksniai, formuojantys Lietuvospirminio profesinio mokymo įvaizdį, ir įvaizdžio gerinimo galimybės kaip kokybėsvadybos tobulinimo prielaida. Nustatyta, kad profesinio mokymo įstaigų darbuotojųpožiūris į pirminio profesinio mokymo įvaizdį yra teigiamas, bet šiuo metu susiduriasu neigiamu išorinės aplinkos aspektu.
