At the same time, it is possible to ascertain the presence of a number of locally-territorial peculiarities that distinguish itself Veremiivka’s maternity rite among others. Get PDFThe article gives the description of spells pronounced during gathering the first berries that are based on wide range of field ethnographic data. The spells are classified according to their magic markers. The main features of using spells towards forest and domestic fruit, berries, vegetables, mushrooms, herbs etc. The usage of first fruit is investigated considering their regional and local features. The text reveals field data that show the major issues of this article. Get PDFThe Ark of the Covenant, Blessed Virgin Mary and the Tabernacle are visible signs of God’s presence. In the era of the Old Testament, God, who surpasses all that is on Earth, descends to the sacred tent with the Ark of the Covenant. At the time of the New Testament, the closeness and holiness of God was carried within Blessed Virgin Mary. And in the period of the Church Jesus stays with the mankind in the Holy Eucharist which is kept in the Tabernacle. This article presents the continuity of the Holiest Place, which expresses God’s visible presence, throughout three time periods: the Ark of the Covenant at the time of the Old Testament, Blessed Virgin Mary at the time of the New Testament and the Tabernacle at the time of the Church. Get PDFThe brand and customer – based brand equity, which can increase consumer benevolence and encourage them to stay loyal to the brand or service provider, can be an important instrument for corporate competition. The aim of this article is to evaluate practical application of the theoretical model of the interfaces between customer – based brand equity and customer loyalty while carrying out the survey of telecommunication consumers. Lithuanian telecommunication market is currently divided by the three main competitors – Telia Lietuva AB, Tele2 JSC and Bitė Lietuva JSC. The brand Telia has been selected for the analysis. The first phase of the survey was carried out in April–May of 2017, and the second phase – in February–March of 2018. The Representation of the Great War on Lithuanian Cinema Screens, 1918–1940
Get PDFDuring the Great War, the main conflicting powers established the first public institutions to createand spread propaganda. Governments treated cinema as a powerful medium which might influencemen’s minds. While cinema became a potential weapon to use in propaganda struggles,screens in neutral states were made into battlefields. But the cinema wars did not finish after 1918.After the war, films depicting the Great War were made in various countries, and the films oftencontradicted each other. The article analyses the role that films and stories depicting the Great Warplayed on Lithuanian cinema screens in the interwar period. The first part of the article discussesthe relevance of themes of the Great War in the films and newsreels made in interwar Lithuania.The second part provides an overview of foreign films depicting the Great War that were shown inLithuanian cinemas in the interwar period. Four types of films are distinguished, according to theirfunction. Get PDFTypology is a rich strand of biblical interpretation, present in both the Old and New Testaments. It reveals the deepest truth about Jesus Christ as the Merciful Saviour. Biblical typology illuminates the consistent fulfilment of God’s salvatory plan. This article depicts the story of Joseph, son of Israel, from the Old Testament as a prototype of forgiveness corresponding to Jesus Christ’s forgiving and salvatory activity in the New Testament. The parallel between Joseph and Jesus displays the development of forgiveness in the stories of the Old and New Testaments. Atitinkamuose recenzuojamuose moksliniuose Lietuvos aukštųjų mokyklų leidiniuose sukaupta išties nemažai mokslinių teologinių straipsnių, reikšmingi mokslo darbai nuveikti moralės teologijos (bioetikos) srityje, pamažu stiebiasi ir kitos teologijos mokslo sritys. Tačiau akivaizdu, kad monografijos lygmeniu apie teologinius lietuvių autorių veikalus kalbame dar retai. Todėl Klaipėdos universiteto prof. Arvydo Ramono indėlis į teologijos mokslo raidą Lietuvoje ypač vertingas ir svarus, turint mintyje ne tik recenzuojamą monografiją, bet ir tai, kad autorius apskritai intensyviai rašo teologinėmis temomis, publikuoja knygas ir jau ne pirmą monografiją

Get PDFhuge impact on the education system based on the universal Catholic pedagogics, and has too much emphasized working activity of the human and underestimated the nature of the personality’s expression, is analyzed in the paper. The mentioned issues are considered regarding the contemporary preparation of seafarers. Aim of the research is a revelation of the universally anthropological value of the education at conditions of protestant pragmatism and technocratism. Social influence of the protestant mentality is discussed. The preparation of seafarers is anthropologically evaluated. Methods such as retrospective analysis of scientific literature, comparison, heuristic analysis, interpretation and systemization were used in the research. Methodological principle of the research is neotomism. Theological tendencies of the protestant technocratism depreciated the personalistic culture that is psychologically compensated emphasizing the modern progress of the technological preparation of seafarers ignoring the broad approach to the valuable potential of the seafarer’s personality self-development. This approach lets create the universal local systems of the seafarers’ higher vocational education, and adequately combine the conditions of the complex human nature development and of the extreme work based on the European culture and authentic Christian heritage of education.KEY WORDS: Catholicism, education, Protestantism, technocratism, seafarer, personality

Get PDFThe article analyzes the Christian Church in the first centuries of controversy about the divine mercy and understanding of the operation in the believer’s life. Briefly reviewing the biblical teaching about the divine grace. Highlights the key terms in the Old and New Testaments. It reviews the doctrines of grace in the origins of Gnostic Manichean sects. Discussion about the operation of the grace of one of the greatest the echoes reached the Pelagius and St. Augustine teachings. Their doctrine, especially Augustine, centuries later influenced the development of the Catholic doctrine of grace for the individual man and for the whole Church. Augustine understood the divine grace of anthropological perspectives as a new relationship with God through Jesus Christ’s saving event. This relationship is just a pure gift from God, given to everyone who has faith in the Savior. By their nature the man deserves such a gift, so it is in vain received grace, leads man to the justification, and thus to eternal salvation.KEY WORDS: Divine Grace, Augustin, Pelagius, Faith, Good works
