Narrative Perspective of School Social Pedagogue’s SUPPORT FOR Social Risk Children: One Child’s Story “One out of Five”
Get PDFSocial pedagogue’s assistance to social risk children is a relevant, complex and difficult topic. Social pedagogue is one of the key figures in country’s schools in terms of ensuring social equality, social integration, socialisation or simply the provision of social pedagogical assistance in the education process. However, currently there is not enough of a deeper understanding about the entire notion of school social pedagogue’s assistance to social risk children: how and in which situations it takes place, how it is organised and what is the role of a social pedagogue as well as which specific activities are carried out. Even though social pedagogical assistance itself is regulated in the legislation, there is still a prevailing lack of the actual situational and in-depth analysis that would reveal the entire process of social pedagogical assistance, allow to have a better look at it and through understanding it, enable the improvement of the situation. In this article, assistance provided by school social pedagogue to social risk children is analysed through narrative approach. In this article is represented one social pedagogues (Sigita) narrative about her assistance to social risk child Rytis. Sigita’s narrative is analysed on the following logic: description (narratives themselves, based on stories told by respondents during interviews, divided into smaller units), interpretation (personal insights about the narratives provided, personal approach, reflections based on memories) and explanation (objective analysis of a narrative provided in the description (or a part of it), based on scientific literature).KEY WORDS: assistance, social pedagogue, social risk child, narrative.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.15181/tbb.v79i2.178

No full textYoung people with disabilities are one of the most sensitive groups of society because they are discriminated against by stereotypes of disability, sewing in the labor market and education. This is acknowledged by organizations operating in the field of international human rights and disability, which are mentioned in documents protecting the rights of persons with disabilities, are reflected in the researches of Lithuanian and foreign scientists. A child’s autism diagnosis affects every member of the family in different ways. Parents / caregivers must now place their primary focus on helping their child with ASD, which may put stress on their marriage, other children, work, finances, and personal relationships and responsibilities. The theoretical part of the article examines disabilities, conceptual basics of a autism. The empirical part is compliant with a provision that a human life can be understood by analysing one’s experience, opinions, worldview, and context. The justification of the research methodology – narrative analysis – is presented. The study involves demographic characteristics of fourth people – parents (male sex), circumstances of research data collection, the role of the researcher is revealed. Data processing is carried out in accordance with the methodological requirements of the dialogical narrative analysis. PSICHOSOCIALINIŲ PASLAUGŲ PERSONALIZAVIMAS ONKOLOGINIAMS LIGONIAMS: LIETUVOS IR ANGLIJOS LYGINAMOJI ANALIZĖ
Get PDFStraipsnyje siekiama išanalizuoti ir palyginti Angliją ir Lietuvą personalizuotų psichosocialinių paslaugų kontekste. Tyrimas atskleidė, kad Anglijoje psichosocialinių paslaugų personalizacija tiek politiniu, tiek praktiniu lygmenimis sėkmingai įgyvendinama ir plėtojama, tuo tarpu Lietuvoje psichosocialinės paslaugos apskritai yra tik pradinėje vystymosi stadijoje, jos nėra visiškai integruotos į onkologinių ligonių sveikatos priežiūros sistemą, nepakankamai dėmesio skiriama holistiniams ligonių poreikiams. Tačiau, nors politiniu lygmeniu apie personalizaciją Lietuvoje nekalbama, analizės rezultatai rodo, kad jai įgyvendinti gali būti sudarytos palankios sąlygos, stiprinant valstybinių institucijų ir NVO bendradarbiavimą. THE ANTI-CORRUPTION CIVIL SOCIETY IN SWEDEN AS PART OF SUSTAINABLE POLICY NETWORKS
Get PDFThe article aims to define how the main principles of the Swedish welfare state, i.e., the “multi-stakeholder principle” and the principle of trustfulness and collaboration, affect activity of the anti-corruption civil society. For the study, the following empirical methods have been used: the analysis of documents and in-depth-interviews with experts. The author demonstrates that the anti-corruption activity of civil society in Sweden can be considered as part of wider social movements for human rights, democracy and integrity, especially at international level. There are a lot of associations and unions in Sweden that, among other joint activities, promote anti-corruption practices and rules in state organisations and commercial enterprises. The state and government need to be oriented to social challenges and keep pace with civic movements. A partnership with different stakeholders is the main type of the Swedish ACS’s activities that help to reach their goals in preventing corruption behaviour, e.g., “Anti-corruption policy networks”, and it is the result of two types of collaboration: anti-corruption participation and anti-corruption services. The research has shown that the civil society’s ability to create networks with the state, business and other agents is the main condition for the so-called horizontal accountability and sustainability and for preventing corruption in Swedish society that, in its turn, has been established over a long period of time building the culture of integrity and civic institutions.KEYWORDS: corruption, civil society, policy networks.JEL CODES: H7, I0, I3.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.15181/rfds.v26i3.181
PEOPLE LIVING BY CHANGING SEAS. MESOLITHIC COASTAL SETTLEMENT ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE BALTIC SEA
Get PDFSelected find spots along the Swedish coast of the Baltic Sea are presented, in order to illustrate different ways in which hunter-gatherer societies related to the coast during the Mesolithic. Transformations of the landscape were mainly due to isostatic and eustatic changes. In the northern part, the land rose, forming new coasts and archipelagos at a speed that was noticeable even within one generation. Similar rapid changes occurred in the southern area, but in the opposite direction, with large areas of coast being submerged. Get PDFShared Service Centres (SSCs) may lead to job creation in the professional field in the less developed EU region. By 2015, in the CEE region, the number of employees in this sector exceeded 335 000 and the trend tends to be increasing heavily. Looking at the actual numbers of the sector, the author tries to define the main decision making factors for a SSC to settle down in the region. THE IMPACT OF CLUSTERS ON REGIONAL COMPETITIVENESS
Get PDFCluster development is one of determinants used in the regional competitiveness that are related to the presence of competitive local suppliers and competitive local industries in the regional economy. The correlation analysis permits to conclude that regions, which are more competitive, have more developed clusters and regions with more developed clusters are more competitive. However, the comparison between competitiveness and cluster development of particular regions reveal that the impact of clusters on competitiveness can differ across regions and countries, thus creating challenges for policy makers. PROPAGANDINIS „TĖVIŠKĖS“ DRAUGIJOS VAIDMUO SOVIETMEČIU PLĖTOJANT KULTŪRINIUS RYŠIUS SU IŠEIVIJA
Get PDFThe Tėviškė (Homeland) Society for Lithuania’s cultural relations with compatriots abroad was set up in Soviet Lithuania in 1976 on the basis of previous analogous institutions. Through the society, attempts were made to control the cooperation with emigrant compatriots, disseminate the Soviet propaganda, restrict the spread of objective information, and discredit the right-wing emigration organizations that nurtured the idea of restoration of Lithuania’s independence. The aim of this paper is to review the programme of cultural exchanges with emigrants in the USA, implemented in the Soviet times, by highlighting the musical aspect. The research is based on the Cold War paradigm, the work of historians who analysed the topic, the still unexplored documentation of the Tėviškė Society, and the letters addressed to it and currently stored in the Lithuanian Special Archives. The cultural cooperation programme also included the field of tourism, which was especially useful for governmental institutions wishing to demonstrate the achievements of Soviet Lithuania to foreign visitors. It was partly supervised by the Tėviškė Society.
