High cases of Dengue Fever in Jakarta  increased efforts to control the population of Aedes aegypti by using insecticides. Insecticides which are often used in that control are malathion and temefos which derived from the class of organophospat. Associated with resistance in many areas, the purpose of this article is to know the susceptibility of Ae. aegypti in endemic areas in Jakarta to insecticide malathion and temefos. This study was an observational study with cross sectional design. Research sites in nine Puskesmas in East Jakarta, West Jakarta and South Jakarta. The study population was all the houses located in  highest endemic area  in nine regions of Puskesmas. Sample survey in the form of 100 homes / buildings in each area. Larvae survey conducted in the home / building, then the larvae obtained were collected for later colonization to  3rd generation. Susceptibility test to 0.8% malathion is done by using impregnated paper refers to the WHO method, whereas susceptibility test to temefos test was conducted by elliot.   Result of this research shows that  in all research areas have been resistant to organophosphate insecticides (Temefos and Malathion 0.8%). The use in the long term is suspected to be the cause of resistance to the insecticide malathion Ae.aegypti 0.8% and temefos 0,02ppm.

Candida albicans is a dimorphic fungus that is normally present in the digestive tract, upper respiratory tract, and genital mucosa. Candida albicans is the most pathogenic species from the other Candida species, and an opportunistic fungus that causes thrush. The rural communities that far from the drug store, clinic, or other health facilities, soy sauce used as an alternative medicine for thrush, because it is easy to find, always available especially at home, smells and tastes good, and do not give pain when used. Soy sauce is an extract from fermented soybeans mixed with other ingredients such as 40% palm sugar (sucrose) 18% - 20% salt, and some other spices to enhance the flavor. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of soy sauce in inhibiting the growth of C. albicans. This experimental study using a concentrations of 100%, 75%, 50% soy sauce, and the contact time of 5, 10, 15 minutes as the variables to see the growth of C. albicans using pour method. This study showed that adding 100% soy sauce of different mark with 5, 10, and 15 minutes contact time gave the colonies growth of 217, 237, and 297 respectively. In addition, the adding of 75% soy sauce growth 125, 158, and 185 colonies. Fifty percent soy sauce growth 110, 130, and 156 colonies. The study indicate that soy sauce is not able to inhibit the growth of C. albicans
