Pengetahuan Dan Perilaku Anak Sekolah Tentang Kecacingan Di Beberapa Sekolah Dasar Di Kecamatan Labuan Kabupaten Donggala Tahun 2012
Helminth infections in children is generally higher in children than in adult because of children have a lower knowledge and attitude compare to adult thAt lead them to a lacking in personal hygiene. In order to assess the knowledge and behavior of school children about helminth, a cross sectional study was conducted in I0 elementqry school in Labuan Sub District on January 2012. 241 stool samples were collected and 454 respondents were interviewed on this study. The prevalence of helminth infections in children in Labuan Sub District is 17,01%. The children knowledge about symptoms and model of transmission were still low. Howeveti children's behavior, for instance washing hands before eating and after defecating using footwear when playing outside showed a positive practice. A regular counseling are needed to improve the school children's knowledge and behavior
Perbedaan Indeks Entomologi Pemantauan Jumantik Dewasa dan Jumantik Anak di Dusun Mejing Kidul, Ambarketawang, Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still the main problem in Indonesia. A continuous mosquito breeding places control can reduce vector density. The monitoring of mosquito breeding places control has been done by larvae surveyor (jumantik) in community. In Mejing Kidul, larvae monitoring program has been done by children since 2012. This study aimed to compare the entomology index monitored by children and adult in Mejing Kidul, Ambarketawang, Gamping, Sleman. This research was an observational analytic research with a cross-sectional design. The population of this study was the people in Mejing Kidul, Ambarketawang, Gamping, Sleman. Samples were taken using total sampling technique from secondary data. Data were analysed using independent T-test and linear regression. The House Index (HI), Container Index (CI), Breteau Index (BI) and Larva Free Index (ABJ) monitored by adult jumantik were 14.99%, 6.92%, 19.01, and 85.01% respectively. Whereas House Index (HI), Container Index (CI), Breteau Index (BI) and Larva Free Index (ABJ) monitored by children jumantik were 21.35%, 11.39%, 27.89, and 78.65% respectively. T-test analysis showed that the p-value of HI, CI, BI, and ABJ were 0.009, 0.028, 0.038, and 0.009 respectively. This indicates that there is a difference in entomology index monitored by children and adult. There was a difference in average of HI, CI, BI, and ABJ monitored by adult and children. Penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) masih menjadi permasalahan di Indonesia. Pemberantasan Sarang Nyamuk (PSN) secara rutin dapat membantu menurunkan kepadatan vektor. Pelaksanaan PSN di monitoring dengan menggerakkan kader juru pemantau jentik (jumantik) di masyarakat. Di Mejing Kidul pemantauan dilakukan oleh anak anak sejak tahun 2012. Penelitian ini ingin membandingkan perbedaan indeks entomologi hasil pemantauan jumantik dewasa dan pemantauan jumantik anak di dusun Mejing Kidul, Ambarketawang Gamping, Sleman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitan observasional analitik dengan desain crossectional. Populasi dalam studi adalah masyarakat di Dusun Mejing Kidul, Ambarketawang, Gamping, Sleman. Penelitian ini menggunakan total sampel data sekunder. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji independent T tes dan regresi linier. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, nilai House index (HI), Container index (CI), Breteau index (BI) dan Angka Bebas Jentik hasil pemantauan jumantik dewasa 14,99%, 6,92%, 19,01 dan 85,01%. House index(HI), Container index (CI), Breteau index (BI) dan angka bebas jentik hasil pemantauan jumantik anak 21,35%, 11,39%, 27,89 dan 78,65%. Hasil analisis statistik menggunakan uji T tes menunjukkan House index (HI) p-value 0,009, Container index (CI) p-value 0,028, Breteau Index (BI) p-value 0,038 dan Angka Bebas Jentik p-value = 0,009. Hasil tersebut menunjukan ada perbedaan rata-rata indeks entomologi hasil pemantauan jumantik dewasa dan pemantauan jumantik anak. Terdapat perbedaan rata-rata House Index (HI), Container Index (CI), Breteau Index (BI) dan angka bebas jentik yang dipantau jumantik dewasa dan anak-anak.
Fauna Nyamuk Anopheles di Daerah Perbatasan Kota Palu, Sulawesi Tengah
In an effort to control malaria, several factors that need to know are the type and behavior of the Anopheles mosquitoes in malaria endemic areas. Although the municipality of Palu is still endemic area with low malaria cases (the Low Incidence area LIA), but there are always cases of malaria throughout the year. From that reason, there is still important to know Anopheles diversity in this region. This research is intended to identify Anopheles diversity in the area and to obtaine information on the vector status. The methods that used for Anopheles collection is Hole night collection to identify the density and diversity of malaria vectors in the area. The density of mosquitoes based on the number of mosquitoes that caught per person per hour as well as fluctuations in the density of biting people inside and outside the home per hour. In this study, we used 6 persons to collect the mosquitoes. Three persons were collected mosquitoes indoor; whereas three others persons were collected Anopheles outdoor . In this study that has been conducted in four villages, we species of Anopheles mosquitoes, namely: An. vagus, An. barbirostris, An. indefinitus, An. maculatus and An. ludlowae. An. vagus is most often found as many as 15 mosquitoes (65.2%), and then An. barbirostris is three mosquitoes (13.1%0), An. indelinitus and An. maculatus are two mosquitoes per each (8.7%). Anopheles ludlowae is one mosquito (4.3%). The result of ELISA test to indentify the presence of sporozoite of the malaria plasmodium in mosquitoes salivary gland showed negative (sporozoit in all of mosquitoes salivary gland are negative)
Hubungan Jenis dan Bahan Dasar Kontainer dengan Keberadaan Jentik Nyamuk Aedes Aegypti di Kelurahan Tondo Tahun 2010
Dengue Haemorhagic Fever (DHF) is a main health problem in Palu municipality. One of the DHF endemic area was Tondo village. The transmission of DHF was determine by the present of Aedes aegypti larvae. The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between type and material of container and the present of Aedes aegypti larvae. This studywas conducted inTondo village by surveing 100 houses. This was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. Larva surveywas conducted with a single larvae method. Data were analysed with chi-square. The results showed that DHF transmission in Tondo village was still high as indicated in House Index (43%). Mostly plastic and cement water container used daily were found positive Aedes aegypti. There was a correlation between the container (chamber and jar) with the larvae persistence. The container that made from cement, ceramics and metal have a correlation with the larvae persistance. Therefore, community participation in DHF control programis needed inTondo village
Prevalensi Trichuriasis pada Anak di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Harapan Maju: Studi Kasus di Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan
Trichuriasis is an infectious disease due to nematode Trichuris trichiura. Trichuriasis prevalence is the highest among infectious diseases due to other parasitic worms in Indonesia. Elementary school-age children at high risk of this disease. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of trichuriasis in children of elementary school age in Tanah Bumbu regency. This research was conducted in 2015 with cross sectional design, using purposive sampling method. A total of 250 children from Harapan Maju Elementary School was selected as samples, their stools were examined with native method (direct). The results showed the parasitic worms were T . trichiura, Ascaris lumbricoides, hookworm and Enterobius vermicularis. The prevalence of T . trichiura was the highest, as many as 32 children (12.8%) were infected from a total of 250 samples. T . trichiurainfection was found in the form of a single and mixed infection with other parasitic worms. Trichuriasis more commonly found in girls and boys aged 10-12 years. Helminthic treatment needs to be done selectively for infected children using the broad-spectrum drugs. Behavioral and environmental factors of patients with intestinal helminths need to be identified spesificly . Furthermore it would be analyzed to determine the factors involved in the transmission of parasitic diseases. PENGANAN KHAS ACEH PADA KEJADIAN DIABETES MELITUS
ABSTRAKAceh mempunyai makanan khas dengan rasa yang manis, yaitu dodoi, meuseukat, dan asoe kaya. Konsumsi makanan manis dapat berisiko diabetes melitus. Angka diabetes di Aceh diatas rata-rata nasional. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui risiko konsumsi penganan khas Aceh dengan kejadian diabetes melitus. Penelitian bersifat deskriptif analitik dengan desain kasus kontrol. Populasi penelitian adalah pasien yang berobat ke Rumah Sakit Umum dr.Fauziah Bireuen. Sampel penelitian dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan besaran sampel dihitung menggunakan rumus Lemeshow dan didapatkan 50 kasus (pasien dengan diabetes melitus) dan 50 kontrol (pasien non diabetes melitus). Hasil uji chi-square menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara konsumsi dodoi dan meuseukat dengan kejadian diabetes melitus (p<0,05). Dari 41 responden yang mengkonsumsi dodoi, 66% menderita diabetes melitus. Terdapat 63% responden yang menderita diabetes melitus dari 38 yang mengkonsumsi meuseukat. Konsumsi dodoi berisiko 3 kali dan meuseukat 2,4 kali terkena dibetes melitus. Kadar gula yang tinggi dalam penganan khas Aceh menjadi rambu bagi penderita diabetes melitus untuk menjadikan makanan tersebut sebagai makanan yang harus dihindari. Disarankan kepada penderita diabetes melitus untuk menghindari konsumsi dodoi dan meuseukat atau memodifikasi makanan tersebut menjadi tanpa gula.ABSTRACT Aceh has a typical meals with a sweet taste, which dodoi, meuseukat, and asoe kaya. Consumption of sweet foods is high risk having diabetes mellitus. Diabetes in Aceh above the national. The aim of the research was to determine the risk of consumption typical food in Aceh with diabetes mellitus. The design of the study was case control The population was patients who went to the General Hospital dr.Fauziah Bireuen. Samples were selected by purposive sampling, sample size was calculated using the Lemeshow formula. There were 50 cases (patients with diabetes mellitus) and 50 control (patients without diabetes mellitus). Chi-square test results showed a significant relationship between consumption dodoi and meuseukat with diabetes mellitus (p <0.05). Of the 41 respondents who consumed dodoi, 66% had diabetes mellitus. There were 63% of respondents with diabetes mellitus from 38 who consumed meuseukat. Consumption dodoi and meuseukat had 3 times and 2.4 times more risk to diabetes mellitus. High sugar levels in Aceh typical meals became a sign for people with diabetes mellitus to avoid that meals. It is expected that people with diabetes mellitus to avoid consumption dodoi and meuseukat or modify the meals without sugar
VEKTOR MALARIA BARU DI KABUPATEN KOTABARU, PROVINSI KALIMANTAN SELATAN, INDONESIA
Nyamuk Anopheles merupakan vektor dari Malaria. Dari sekitar 400 spesies nyamuk Anopheles telah ditemukan 67 spesies dapat menularkan malaria dan 24 diantaranya ditemukan di Indonesia. Kabupaten Kotabaru merupakan kabupaten endemis malaria di Kalimantan Selatan. Data mengenai spesies vektor malaria spesifik pada suatu daerah sangat berperan penting sebagai salah satu bahan rekomendasi bagi tindak lanjut kebijakan pengendalian malaria. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui data vektor malaria di Kabupaten Kotabaru melalui uji PCR. Penelitian deskriptif dengan desain cross sectional. Penangkapan nyamuk dilakukan di Desa Siayuh Trans dan Magalau Hulu, tambang emas Kura-Kura dan Desa Muara Uri dengan metode penangkapan UOL, UOD, dinding dan kandang. Uji PCR dilaksanakan di laboratorium biomolekuler BBPPVRP Salatiga pada bulan Februari-April 2015. Hasil penangkapan nyamuk didapatkan 345 ekor nyamuk Anopheles yang terdiri dari 9 spesies: An. barbirostris, An. tesselatus, An. balabacensis, An. vagus, An. hyrcanus group, An. peditaeniatus, An. kochi, An. flavirostris, An. umbrosus. Seluruh nyamuk Anopheles yang didapatkan dibuat 56 pool sampel Anopheles sp untuk diuji PCR yang telah diklasifikasikan berdasarkan spesies, tanggal dan metode penangkapan. Hasil PCR terindentifikasi 3 spesies vektor malaria di Desa Siayuh Trans yaitu An. vagus, An. peditaeniatus dan An. tesselatus yang merupakan vektor malaria baru di Propinsi Kalimantan Selatan
