Full text linkThe massive demonstrations as part of the Defending Islam Action against Ahok in 2016 have had a broad impact on the dynamics of contemporary Indonesian politics. The event has not only created socio-political polarization in society but also seeped into local political dynamics in West Sumatra. So far, most studies have focused on the motives and causal factors of the Islamic defense action with its various implications, but there are still few studies that explain the influence of this action on the local Islamic conservatism movement in West Sumatra. Specifically, this study answers the question of how the influence of the Defending Islam Action on the local Islamic conservatism movement in West Sumatra after the 212 rally. A deep understanding of the development of Islamic conservatism in the local context can develop theories of Islamic conservatism in explaining the Islamic revival movement in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative method by interviewing a number of actors of the local Islamic conservatism movement in West Sumatra. The results of this study show that the transformation of national politics in the issues of the Defending Islam Action has a significant impact on the local Islamic conservatism movement. The national political factor not only affects the local Islamic conservatism movement but also the proliferation of such movements locally, that are active in responding to social, political and religious issues. The national political factor followed by local political decentralization is a political opportunity for local Islamic conservatism groups to carry out conservative Islamic agendas in West Sumatra
UNVEILING VULNERABILITY: TRAUMA’S REFLECTION ON MASCULINITY IN MOONLIGHT (2016) AND KUCUMBU TUBUH INDAHKU (2018)
Full text linkThis research aims to compare and investigate the trauma that affects men\u27s masculinity in two different movies from America and Indonesia. This research compares two male characters who both experienced traumatic experiences but, in contrast, have different masculinities due to the influence of the trauma as well as the socio-cultural context they experienced. The objects of comparison for this research are the character Juno from the movie Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku (2018) and the character Chiron from the movie Moonlight (2016). The two characters share similarities in the causes of trauma, but they express different masculinities. To analyze this research, the comparative literature method, the theory of trauma by Levine (2008) and the theory of masculinity by R.W. Connell (2005) were used. The research results show that social-cultural influences play an important role in dealing with a person\u27s trauma which can ultimately affect their masculinity. Juno does not receive social support from the people around him. He remains in subordinate masculinity. Meanwhile, Chiron, who received social support, experienced a change in his masculinity from subordinate masculinity to hegemonic masculinity
PENGARUH KECEMASAN DI PERPUSTAKAAN TERHADAP PEMENUHAN KEBUTUHAN INFORMASI PEMUSTAKA PADA PERPUSTAKAAN UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA
Full text linkThis research examines how anxiety influences fulfilling users\u27 information needs at the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library. This research uses a quantitative method using a sample of 100 active student respondents at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta with a purposive sampling technique. The analysis results show that the anxiety variable\u27s coefficient of determination on meeting needs is 0.642. These results show that the influence of anxiety on fulfilling information needs in the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library is 64.2%. The nature of the impact of these two variables is positive, where the simple linear regression equation is Y = 4.203 – 0.334X. The results of hypothesis testing show a rcalculate of 13.268. These results show results that are greater than. This research concludes that library anxiety significantly and positively influences meeting information needs.

No full textالملخّص: الهندسة المعمارية هي جزء من الفنون المشهورة وتؤثر على حياة الإنسان وحضارتهم. المبنى كعمل تطبيقي لهندسة معمارية تم تصميمها ولديها مفهوم مخصوص. لا يمكن فصل الأعمال الفنية عن عنصر الجمال. ولكن في فن العمارة المعمارية لا يعطي الجمال الأولوية فحسب، بل هو أيضًا وظيفي أكثر. وذلك لأن المبنى يحتوي على عناصر عملية وجمالية.طريقة البحث المستخدمة في كتابة هذا المقال هي منهجية أدبية باستخدام البحث في المكتبات. في هذه منهجية الأدب، تجمع المؤلفة مجموعة متنوعة من المصادر المختلفة المتعلقة بفن العمارة الإسلامية. الإسلام دين سريع جدًا في تطور حضارته. جزء من الحضارة الإسلامية هو هندستها المعمارية. العمارة الإسلامية في دائرة الضوء المسجد. تتميز العمارة الإسلامية بالعديد من المبادئ والخصائص والمكونات الرئيسية التي تجعل المسجد قابلاً للاستخدام قدر الإمكان ولها قيمة جمالية خاصة بها. المساجد المنتشرة في جميع أنحاء العالم، بما في ذلك إندونيسيا، لها خصائصها الخاصة. تبحث هذه المقالة في العمارة الإسلامية ومبادئها وخصائصها ومكوناتها. نتج عن هذا البحث اكتشاف أن المساجد في إندونيسيا تلقت تأثيرات مختلفة من الثقافات المحلية و من الثقافات الخارجية. Abstrak: Arsitektur merupakan bagian dari seni yang sangat populer dan berpengaruh terhadap kehidupan dan peradaban manusia. Bangunan sebagai karya terapan dari sebuah arsitektur yang sudah dirancang dan memiliki konsep sedemikian rupa. Karya seni tak lepas dari unsur keindahan nya. Namun pada seni arsitektur bangunan tidak hanya mengutamakan keindahan namun juga lebih fungsional. Hal ini dikarenakan bangunan memiliki unsur praktis dan estetis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini adalah metodologi literatur dengan menggunakan riset pustaka. Dalam metodologi literatur ini penulis mengumpulkan berbagai sumber yang berbeda terkait seni arsitektur islam. Islam adalah agama yang sangat pesat dalam perkembangan peradabannya. Salah satu bagian dati peradaban islam adalah arsitekturnya. Arsitektur islam yang menjadi sorotan adalah masjid. Arsitektur islam memiliki berbagai prinsip, karakteristik, serta komponen utama yang menjadikan masjid tersebut dapat digunakan sebaik mungkin serta memiliki nila keindahan tersendiri. Masjid-masjid yang tersebar di seluruh dunia, termasuk Indonesia memiliki ciri khas masing-masing. Artikel ini mengkaji arsitektur islam beserta prinsip, karakteristik, dan komponennya. KONSTRUKSI YAHUDI DI BARAT DAN TIMUR: ANALISIS MULTIMODAL HALLIDAY PADA NOVEL GRAFIS
Full text linkThis research aims to analyze how Jewish identity is constructed in the West and the East, as represented in the graphic novels Fagin the Jew by Will Eisner and The Last Jew in Penang by Zayn Gregory and Arif Rafhan , using Halliday\u27s multimodal approach. This approach focuses on various modes of communication, such as verbal, visual, gestural, and spatial, in constructing the narrative of Jewish identity in both novels. Fagin the Jew portrays Jewish identity in the Western context, specifically in 19th-century London, emphasizing antisemitic stereotypes and social marginalization. In contrast, The Last Jew in Penang depicts Jewish identity in the multicultural environment of Southeast Asia, where Jewish identity is more accepted and assimilated into the local community. The findings reveal that cultural differences significantly influence the representation of Jewish identity in these two novels. Through an analysis of verbal, visual, gestural, and spatial modes, it is found that Western graphic novels tend to depict Jewish identity in narratives of prejudice and alienation, while Eastern graphic novels highlight narratives of coexistence and adaptation. This research concludes that multimodality plays a crucial role in reflecting the complexity of Jewish identity shaped by differing historical, social, and cultural contexts in the West and the East
