FEMALE RESISTANCE AND JAVANESE CULTURAL SYMBOLISM IN THE MUSIC VIDEO \u27LATHI\u27 BY WEIRD GENIUS (FT. SARA FAJIRA)
The use of traditional cultural elements in popular media tends to increase as it can attract audience attention. Similarly, in the music video "Lathi" by Weird Genius (ft. Sara Fajira), Javanese cultural elements are utilized in its visual narrative and lyrics. This study aims to analyze how Javanese culture is depicted in the "Lathi" music video using Ferdinand de Saussure\u27s semiotic approach and Vincent Mosco\u27s commodification theory. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis of signs (signifiers) and meanings (signifieds) in eight selected scenes from the "Lathi" music video. The results show that Javanese cultural elements, such as wayang kulit, Jaipong dance, and Kuda Lumping, as well as the representation of Javanese women, are commodified to create a commercially appealing product. Furthermore, the video portrays women as initially weak and submissive to the whispers of men, yet as the narrative progresses, they rise and fight back, symbolizing strength and resilience. The use of cultural symbols not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also amplifies the mythical and eerie impression of women when they decide to resist oppression. The conclusion of this study is that despite the commodification, the "Lathi" music video successfully introduces Javanese culture to a global audience and conveys important values about the strength and resilience of Javanese women in facing challenges
Pengembangan Papan Edukasi Interaktif Muatan Kebudayaan Lokal Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 10 Malang

Potential of Secondary Metabolites from Acriopsis liliifolia Leaves as a Tyrosinase Inhibitor: Docking Study
The demand of natural chemicals with high effectiveness and low side effects increases plant exploration, including in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical fields. Trend of skin-lightening products is in great demand, causing its development to overgrow. Acriopsis liliifolia is an orchid species commonly found in Java and its leaves contain many secondary metabolites, thus attracting attention to be studied its potential as a tyrosinase inhibitor to overcome hyperpigmentation. This study explores potential of secondary metabolites in A. liliifolia leaves as tyrosinase inhibitors through microchemical tests, secondary metabolite profiling with LC-HRMS, and docking study using MOE. The results of the microchemical test showed that this orchid contains flavonoid, phenolic, terpenoid, and alkaloid compounds. Secondary metabolite profiling with LC-HRMS produced 130 compounds, then 15 of the most potential compounds were selected. The docking study showed that prolylleucine had lowest S score of -8,738 kJ/mol, lower than native ligand, kojic acid. This indicates that prolylleucine has a significant binding affinity to tyrosinase enzyme receptor through twelve bonds on the active site of enzyme. Prolylleucine can be used as a lead compound for further testing.
Keywords: Acriopsis liliifolia, secondary metabolites, leaves, tyrosinase inhibitor, molecular docking
The State and Online Gambling: The Economic Impact of Online Gambling - A Case Study of Indonesia
This study explores the social and economic impacts of online gambling in Indonesia, and how this phenomenon affects the nation\u27s sovereignty and stability. Grounded in the Quranic prohibition against gambling, this research highlights that online gambling poses threats not only to individuals but also to society at large and the nation as a whole. Online gambling in Indonesia has reached alarming levels, with promotions spreading across various media, including government and academic websites, and involving public figures in advertising campaigns. The consequences of this practice include outflows of funds to foreign countries, an increase in addiction within society, and negative impacts on the national economy, leading to inflation and a decrease in purchasing power. Through a qualitative case study approach, this research reveals that globalization and the advancement of information technology facilitate the spread of online gambling, which in turn weakens the state\u27s control over this illegal activity. The study also highlights government efforts to address this issue through regulations and website blockades, but significant challenges remain, particularly in controlling the flow of funds and access to cross-border online gambling sites
