The Students Perception on The Use of English Movies in Learning Pronunciation
Get PDFThe student view about learning English pronunciation on the use of movies fourth and sixth students on various campuses. This study was aiming to finding the perception about the student’s perspectives in the use of movie in learning English especially in pronunciation and found that watching movies can have a positive impact on students\u27 English vocabulary pronunciation. The type of this research used qualitative research. The researchers used a questionnaire in the form of google form, to collect data from 28 students, which is distributed through online messages. The instrument provided "agree" and "disagree" options regarding the questions that have been given in the questionnaire link and some short entries. The finding showed that movie was effective in improving students\u27 pronunciation ability. The number of percentages as much as 92% of students agree with the perception that by watching English movies it is easier to improve pronunciation skills. Through, watching a movie can help students to easily remember how to read a vocabulary
Ekranisasi Novel A+ menjadi Serial Web A+: Kajian Penciutan, Penambahan, dan Perubahan Bervariasi
Get PDFThis study aims to explain how the novel A+ by Ananda Putri was transformed into the web series A+ directed by Fajar Bustomi. The focus of this study is to analyze various forms of simplification, additions, and changes that occurred in the elements of the plot, setting, and characters and character depictions based on the theory of ecranization by Pamusuk Eneste. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach and a comparative literary research type. The data sources consist of the novel and the web series A+ available for viewing on Prime Video. The results of this study indicate that the ecranization process resulted in simplifications in several elements of the plot, setting, and characters that are not directly related to the main conflict. In addition, there are also additions of elements of the plot, setting, and characters to strengthen the themes of education and mental health among students. Thus, it can be concluded that the transformation from the novel A+ to the web series A+ still maintains the core of the story, despite undergoing various changes in its structure
Upaya Pelestarian Bahasa dan Tradisi Simalungun di Tengah Arus Globalisasi
Get PDFPenelitian ini membahas upaya untuk mempertahankan bahasa dan kebudayaan Simalungun di tengah arus globalisasi yang menyebabkan pergeseran dalam budaya serta identitas lokal. Pengaruh globalisasi mengakibatkan penurunan penggunaan bahasa daerah dan melemahnya pelaksanaan tradisi yang telah ada secara turun-temurun di kalangan anak muda. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai cara dalam menjaga budaya lokal. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelestarian bahasa dan kebudayaan Simalungun dapat dilakukan melalui pendidikan baik formal maupun nonformal, penyelenggaraan aktivitas budaya, serta pemanfaatan media digital sebagai alat untuk promosi dan dokumentasi. Kerja sama antara masyarakat, pemerintah, dan generasi muda sangat penting agar warisan budaya Simalungun dapat tetap bertahan dan relevan dengan perkembangan zaman.
 
Kearifan Lokal Dan Konteks Sosial (Ekonomi) Drama Pendek ‘Abrasi’ Karya Putu Wijaya
Get PDFArtikel ilmiah berobjek material drama pendek (drapen) Abarasi mengkaji penggambaran kearifan lokal dan konteks sosial (ekonomi) dalam drama pendek karya Putu Wijaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra untuk menganalisis unsur intrinsik drama, seperti penokohan, dialog, dan latar. Analisis menunjukkan drama Abrasi tersebut menggambarkan pergulatan para pekerja di sebuah proyek bangunan yang belum selesai, yang menjadi simbol tekanan sosio-ekonomi dan pengikisan (abrasi) karakter bangsa serta nilai-nilai moral dalam masyarakat kontemporer. Hasil riset menemukan bahwa drama Abrasi secara implisit mengandung seruan untuk memperkuat nasionalisme dan pendidikan karakter sebagai sebuah bentuk kearifan lokal guna menangkal degradasi sosial. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada fokus spesifiknya terhadap dimensi sosio-ekonomi sebagai latar yang memperkuat pesan utama drama, yang sering kali luput dari kajian sebelumnya dan cenderung berfokus pada struktur intrinsik atau absurditasnya. Pembuktian Asal Usul Anak Berdasarkan Teori Keadilan: (Studi Putusan Nomor 235/Pdt.P/2024/PA.Smd)
Get PDFPenelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan doktrinal yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dua pokok pembahasan: Pertama, penulis menganalisis bagaimana penetapan asal usul anak yang sah dalam Putusan Pengadilan Agama Nomor 235/Pdt.P/2024/PA.Smd. Kedua, penulis menganalisis bagaimana perspektif hukum untuk memenuhi keadilan bagi pihak-pihak terkait dalam Putusan Pengadilan Agama Nomor 235/Pdt.P/2024/PA.Smd tentang pembuktian asal usul anak sah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis terhadap Putusan Pengadilan Agama Nomor 235/Pdt.P/2024/PA.Smd yang menetapkan anak dari perkawinan siri sebagai anak sah yang mana berdasarkan pertimbangan-pertimbangan hukum oleh majelis hakim, salah satunya dengan alat bukti berupa surat akta nikah, kartu keluarga, surat keterangan lahir, saksi-saksi, dan pasal-pasal di dalam undang-undang Perkawinan, KHI, dan bahkan di dalam undang-undang Perlindungan Anak. Namun Putusan Pengadilan Agama Nomor 235/Pdt.P/2024/PA.Smd memiliki kelemahan dalam aspek pembuktian asal usul anak sah, terutama karena tidak mempertimbangkan prinsip keadilan John Rawls, penggunaan tes DNA sebagai alat bukti ilmiah, serta yurisprudensi dari Putusan MK No. 46/PUU-VIII/2010

Get PDFConjunctive adjunct application contributes information management in communication including news texts. This research analyses how the implementation of conjunctive adjunct is applied by English anchor news text of BBC news anchor. The object is entitled “Hurricane Milton leaves destruction across Florida | BBC News” that was taken from the BBC news official YouTube channel. The primary object is the written text, and the supporting object is the audiovisual anchor news performance. The method of collecting and analysing data was conducted by applying qualitative design. There are six findings which are to calm the audiences’ emotion, to give spirit of surviving from the disaster, to encourage the stakeholders to take care the victims indirectly, to express sympathy, to express personal justification to a person’ luck, and to implement a message of taking fast respond. The conjunction does not only take linguistic rules, but also how to manage the information flow conveniently

Get PDFEducation is an activity carried out by adults consciously and responsibly towards children with the aim of creating interactions that influence students so they can adapt to their environment. Learning is an essential process for every individual. In learning situations, teachers are responsible for creating a fun learning environment and actively involving students. The activeness of learning participants is influenced by various things, including teacher creativity in using learning methods. One solution to increase students\u27 active learning is to use learning media, such as wordwall. Wordwall is a web-based educational game platform that teachers can use to create quizzes and interactive games in the learning process. The use of wordwall is expected to make learning more interesting, increase student participation, and enrich the learning experience. The aim of this research is to observe the level of activity of class X-7 students after implementing wordwall media in learning Biographical Texts at SMA Negeri 11 Semarang. By focusing on the use of wordwall, this research will explain the impact of this media on students\u27 participation and active learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which aims to describe events that occur in learning biographical texts in class X-7. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation from class X-7 students. This research used a purposive sampling technique in taking samples so that one class sample was selected based on class division during PPL I activities. The results of the research showed that there was an impact of implementing wordwall media for students in class X-7, namely students looked active, enthusiastic, able to answer questions asked by the teacher, and the class felt fun

Meanwhile, men are considered as figures who can make logical decisions easily, brave, powerful, strong, intelligent, wise, and independent. The images that emerge for women and men occur due to the concept of gender, which is a trait that is inherent in both men and women that is socially and culturally constructed. This study aims to find the image of female figures contained in the kumpulan Dongeng Klasik Nusantara oleh Cerviena Susilo and identify the implications of discussing kumpulan Dongeng Klasik Nusantara oleh Cerviena Susilo on Indonesian language and literature learning in schools. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results show that the image of women that emerges is the self-image of women and the social image of women. The self-image of women is divided into two parts: the physical image of women and the psychological image of women, while the social image of women is divided into the image of women in the family and the image of women in society
The Impact of Green Accounting on Firm Value in the Basic Materials Sector
Get PDFIndustrial activities in the basic material sector have caused significant environmental damage, thereby driving the implementation of green accounting concepts to reduce negative environmental impacts while enhancing corporate value. This research seeks to analyze study delves into how expenditures dedicated to environmental initiatives, the effectiveness of a company’s sustainability practices, and the extent of its ecological transparency contribute to shaping its overall market valuation within the sector examined in operating as listed entities on the Indonesian capital market during the 2021-2023 period. This investigation adopts a quantitative methodology by utilizing multiple linear regression techniques to examine the relationships among the variables under study on secondary data sourced from the annual and sustainability reports of companies. The research sample includes 89 companies selected based on specific criteria. Data analysis reveals the findings reveal that expenditures on environmental activities, along with sustainability performance, contribute positively to a firm’s value, while the degree of environmental reporting appears to have no notable effect. The study results confirm that corporate investment in environmental management can enhance legitimacy before stakeholders, which strengthens institutional theory. However, transparency in environmental information disclosure has not yet become a primary consideration in investment decisions, thus it does not impact corporate value. Theoretically, this study strengthens the institutional theory by proving the role of environmental investment in creating legitimacy and value creation. Practically, this study provides current perspectives for both companies and investors on the significance of environmental investment compared to mere disclosure in enhancing corporate value
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FACTORS OF MSME CREDIT GROWTH IN INDONESIA : A MARKOV SWITCHING APPROACH
Get PDFMSME Credit Growth in Indonesia experienced a downward and upward trend during the period 2017 - 2024. This study aims to determine the effect of internal factors Non Performing Loan (NPL), Return on Asset (ROA), and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) as well as external factors BI Rate, Inflation, and Exchange Rate on MSME credit growth in Indonesia. This study uses the Markov Switching approach to capture changes in the dynamics of MSME credit growth in various credit growth conditions. The results of this study indicate that in high credit growth conditions, MSME credit is positively influenced by BI Rate, Exchange Rate, and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and is negatively influenced by Inflation, Non Performing Loan (NPL), and Return on Asset (ROA) to MSME credit growth in Indonesia. However, in conditions of declining credit growth, MSME credit is only positively influenced by inflation and ROA to MSME credit growth in Indonesia. This study illustrates that the factors that influence MSME credit growth in various conditions are different. These findings can be used as a basis in formulating policies in various conditions of credit growth
