    No full text
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Policy on the Prevention of Sexual Violence in the workplace based on the Minister of Manpower Decree No. 88 of 2023 in Malang City, and to assess the effectiveness of this policy from the perspective of Maqashid Sharia. A qualitative research approach was employed using an empirical juridical method, combining policy document analysis with in-depth interviews involving key stakeholders, particularly from the Malang City Manpower Office. The study identifies key challenges in policy implementation, including limited awareness and understanding among workers, insufficient supervisory resources, and suboptimal mechanisms for reporting and handling cases. The Maqashid Sharia analysis reinforces the urgency of comprehensive protection of life (hifzh al-nafs), dignity (hifzh al-'ird), and well-being (hifzh al-mal) of workers as the core objectives of the policy. Although the regulation addresses legal and procedural aspects, the holistic application of maqashid values still requires improvement to ensure the policy's effective and sustainable implementation within Indonesia's socio-cultural context. This study offers strategic recommendations emphasizing enhanced education and training for both workers and employers, strengthening monitoring systems, and adapting the policy to be more responsive to local needs and Sharia principles. The research makes a significant contribution to filling the academic gap in the application of Maqashid Sharia in labor law and proposes concrete, applicable solutions for policymakers in Indonesia

Domestic violence is a social problem that is still significantly ongoing in various levels of society, despite many efforts to provide protection to victims. One of the factors that often hinders victims from reporting violence is economic dependence on the perpetrator. This dependence creates complex situations, where victims feel trapped between the need to survive and fear worse consequences if they resist or report the violence they experienced. Economic dependence often worsens the psychological condition of the victim, affects their decision-making, and causes them to feel they have no choice but to remain in a violent relationship. This article aims to dig deeper into economic dependence factors as the main cause of why many cases of domestic violence are not revealed. In addition, this article will also explor

Strengthening Religious Moderation among Muslim Converts through Participatory Action Research: A Case Study in Aceh, Indonesia

    No full text
Religious moderation is a vital foundation for maintaining social harmony in Aceh, particularly among Muslim converts who often struggle with religious and social adaptation. This study aims to describe how converts understand and practice moderation, to explore mentoring strategies carried out by the Aceh Da’wah Council (DDA) through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, and to assess the changes in attitudes and social interactions that occurred during the program. The mentoring program was implemented over eight weeks (October–December 2024) with 35 participants, including DDA leaders and converts from different districts. Activities were organized into three stages: education and socialization, focus group discussions, and monitoring and evaluation. Data were collected through FGDs, semi-structured interviews, and participant observation, then analyzed qualitatively through data organization, coding, summarizing, and interpretation, with triangulation and member checking applied to strengthen credibility. The study found clear improvements in both the understanding and practice of religious moderation values. Converts demonstrated greater openness, respect for diversity, avoidance of extreme attitudes, and more active participation in community life. At the same time, the program reinforced the institutional role of the DDA, enhancing its capacity to provide sustained guidance for converts. The PAR approach proved relevant for fostering moderate religious attitudes among Muslim converts in Aceh by integrating Indonesia’s nine values of moderation into daily practice. While limited to the DDA setting, the study offers evidence that community-based mentoring can serve as a practical model for religious institutions and policymakers seeking to strengthen moderation and social harmony in comparable contexts

The Contribution of Islamic Philosophy and the Implementation of Islamic Education in Realizing Democratic Elections in Indonesia

    No full text
This article examines the contribution of Islamic philosophy and Islamic education to the realization of democratic elections in Indonesia. The study aims to analyze how the core principles of Hablum Minallah (tauhid and taqwa) and Hablum Minannas (adl, shura, and amal makruf nahi munkar) provide ethical and normative foundations for political participation and the strengthening of democratic values. A qualitative approach with normative-philosophical analysis is employed. Data are collected through a comprehensive literature review, including classical and contemporary Islamic philosophical works, relevant legal and policy documents, and studies on Islamic education and democratic practices. Thematic and normative analysis is used to synthesize and connect philosophical values with educational strategies and electoral ethics. The analysis shows that integrating Islamic philosophical values into educational practices—through curriculum development, extracurricular activities, and community-based da’wah and counseling—can enhance civic awareness, foster responsible citizenship, and promote integrity in the electoral process. Regulatory support from national educational policies further reinforces these efforts. Islamic education is identified as a vital mechanism for instilling democratic culture, ethical conduct, and resilience against challenges such as misinformation and identity politics. The findings suggest practical strategies for policymakers and educators to incorporate Islamic values into educational programs, aiming to support ethical democratic participation. These include curriculum integration, interactive civic education, digital literacy training, and targeted community engagement. This study offers an integrative framework that connects Islamic philosophical, normative, and educational dimensions to the practical challenges of democracy in Indonesia. By situating Islamic education as both doctrinal transmission and civic empowerment, the research provides a reference for further study and policy development at the intersection of religion, education, and democratic culture

Theological Motivation and the Mutqin Method in Qur’anic Memorization: A Case Study of Manhalun Nabighin

    No full text
This study investigates the integration of theological motivation and structured pedagogical practice in Qur’anic memorization (tahfidz) at Manhalun Nabighin, with a particular focus on the implementation of the Mutqin method. Employing a qualitative, phenomenological approach, data were collected from one program coordinator and thirteen students through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and analysis of institutional documents. The findings reveal that effective tahfidz at Manhalun Nabighin is grounded in a holistic educational paradigm, where memorization is not merely a technical pursuit but is embedded in spiritual values—such as ikhlas (sincerity), istiqamah (steadfastness), and an akhirah-oriented mindset—reinforced through daily routines, role modeling, and a supportive dormitory environment. The Mutqin method, characterized by systematic repetition (muraja’ah), rigorous evaluation, and peer support, fosters not only memorization quality and discipline but also emotional resilience and a lifelong commitment to the Qur’an. However, the research also highlights the dynamic nature of motivation, which is shaped by personal, familial, and technological challenges. The absence of formal psychosocial support points to the need for more comprehensive mentoring frameworks. These results underscore the importance of integrating theological motivation with adaptive pedagogical strategies to ensure sustainable and meaningful Qur’anic memorization. The study concludes with recommendations for educators and policymakers to develop holistic, context-sensitive tahfidz programs, and suggests future research to further examine comparative models and long-term outcomes

    No full text
Umrah, which is a form of worship in Islam, has changed practice and meaning in modern society. Currently, modern society interprets Umrah not only as worship but also as religious tourism and places Umrah as a lifestyle practice. This article discusses the trend of Umrah plus tourism in modern society, with a focus on social media and influencers in framing the perspective of society and encouraging people to perform Umrah. Mass media such as Instagram and TikTok play an important role in promoting Umrah travel, both through advertisements, and testimonials from pilgrims who describe the spirituality of the Umrah journey. In addition, influencers or even artists also play an important role in the Umrah trend in modern society, where their reviews and posts about certain Umrah travel will attract people's interest in doing the same. A qualitative approach is used as a method in analyzing content and public perceptions of Umrah as worship and religious tourism. The results of this study show that the role of social media and influencers is not only limited to promotion but also as agents of change in shaping the perception of modern society regarding the meaning of Umra

The Effect of Substituting Wheat Flour with Composite Flour (Cucurbita moschata and Daucus carota L.) on Biscuits as a Source of Beta Carotene for Stunted Children

    Get PDF
The problem of stunting in Indonesia is still quite high, namely 21,6% based on data from the 2022 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI). One of the effective measures to control stunting is through providing additional food (PMT) such as biscuits to children. Carrots and pumpkin are local foods that are rich in beta carotene. Carotenoids as a source of provitamin A are able to overcome the problem of vitamin A deficiency (VAD), which is the cause of growth disorders in children. This research aims to determine the effect of substitution of yellow pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata) and carrot (Daucus carota L.) composite flour on organoleptic characteristics including color, aroma, taste, texture and nutritional content (beta carotene, carbohydrates, protein and fat). This research used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 3 treatments, namely formula 1 (150 grams of wheat flour, 50 grams of pumpkin flour and 50 grams of carrot flour), formula 2 (50 grams of wheat flour, 60 grams of pumpkin flour and 50 grams of flour carrots) and formula 3 (50 grams of wheat flour, 50 grams of pumpkin flour and 150 grams of carrot flour) with 3 repetitions. The research results showed that formula 3 biscuits were the best formulation in terms of organoleptic characteristics with the highest beta carotene content compared to F1 and F2. F3 biscuits contain 30,97 mg beta carotene, 7,45 grams of carbohydrates, 3,22 grams of protein and 8,89 grams of fat. The conclusion of this research is that the substitution of wheat flour with composite flour (Cucurbita moschata and Daucus carota L.) has an effect on the nutritional content (beta carotene, carbohydrates, protein and fat) of biscuits. Consuming pumpkin biscuits per 100 grams can qualify as a good source of the antioxidant beta carotene
