THE TED TALK APPROACH: EFL STUDENT PERCEPTIONS OF ITS IMPACT ON LISTENING COMPREHENSION
This study examined the effectiveness of TED Talks as a learning tool to enhance listening comprehension among senior English Education majors in Indonesia. The objective was to identify whether TED Talks videos helped enhance the listening proficiency of this particular student group. A mixed-methods research study was employed in order to accomplish the aforementioned objective. Students of the English Education departments in semesters six and eight constituted the target population. A voluntary sample of 30 students was selected for participation. Data were gathered through interviews and questionnaires. Quantitative data from the questionnaire were calculated using IBM SPSS 25, and interview data were examined using thematic analysis. Quantitative data showed mean scores ranging from 2.34 to 3.67, categorized as ‘moderate.’ This indicated the general agreement among respondents that TED Talks videos contributed towards an improvement in listening skills. This represented a favorable perspective on the usefulness of the application; however, the ‘moderate’ categorization signaled a need for a deeper investigation into the practical application and optimization of TED Talks. Further, qualitative interview data provided a richer context, complementing the quantitative findings

PROJECT-BASED LEARNING AND RALLY TABLE: EFFECTS ON ELECTRICITY LEARNING OUTCOMES IN HIGH SCHOOL
The implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in physics instruction is aligned with topics that have direct applications in daily life, such as electricity. One of the projects that students can undertake is constructing a simple household electrical installation. However, PjBL has a limitation in which students only focus on the final product of the project rather than the underlying concepts required to complete it. This condition leads to decreased student engagement during the learning process, which in turn may increase the probability of a decline in learning outcomes. This weakness can be addressed by integrating the Rally Table learning strategy. Therefore, this study aims to measure the effectiveness of PjBL combined with Rally Table in improving the learning outcomes of 12th-grade students on the topic of electricity. The study employed a one-group pretest–posttest design with a sample of 72 students. The findings indicate an improvement in learning outcomes by 37%. In addition, classroom observations revealed that proper time allocation between regular learning activities and project work is essential to foster active student engagement throughout the learning process
THE INFLUENCE OF USING THE SECIL APPLICATION IN INDONESIAN LANGUAGE LESSONS ON THE BEGINNING READING ABILITY OF CLASS II ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTSFIRST
This research is motivated by the low initial reading ability of students and the lack of interesting learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Secil application on the initial reading ability of second-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Jauharotunnaqiyyah Priuk. This study uses a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design in a pre-experimental approach. The subjects of the study were all 30 second-grade students with a saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out through oral tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Data analysis was carried out through prerequisite tests in the form of Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality tests, hypothesis tests using paired sample t-tests, and Normalized Gain (N-Gain) calculations to determine the level of effectiveness of using the Secil application. The results showed a significant increase in initial reading ability after using the Secil application, with a significance value of the paired sample t-test of 0.000 <0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. In addition, the average N-Gain value of 0.7253 was included in the high category. These results indicate that the Secil application has a positive and effective influence as a learning medium in improving the initial reading skills of lower grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila Menggunakan Articulate Storyline dengan Model Kontekstual untuk Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar
Pancasila Education within the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the development of students’ critical thinking skills; however, instructional practices at the elementary school level continue to face challenges related to the analytical nature of the content, the potential for conceptual misconceptions particularly in distinguishing the second and fifth principles of Pancasila and the limited variation of learning media and integration of educational technology. Although previous studies have reported the effectiveness of Articulate Storyline and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) when implemented separately, research that systematically integrates both approaches in the context of fourth-grade Pancasila Education, especially for Chapter 4 “Pancasila Dalam Diriku”, remains limited. This study aims to develop Pancasila Education learning media assisted by Articulate Storyline integrated with the CTL model and to examine its feasibility through expert validation involving content, media, and language specialists. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model proposed by Branch, implemented up to the formative evaluation stage through expert validation, without conducting classroom implementation or student trials. The developed media, named Pandaku, incorporates trigger videos, interactive content, quizzes with automated feedback, contextual examples, summaries, and reflective activities. The validation results indicate that the media is highly feasible, achieving feasibility percentages of 95.38% (media expert), 96.92% (content expert), and 96% (language expert). Theoretically, this study contributes to the development of instructional design in Pancasila Education by offering a systematic integration of interactive digital media and CTL for value-based content that is prone to misconceptions. Practically, the developed media has the potential to enrich teachers’ instructional resources and support technology-based contextual learning in offline formats. Nevertheless, improvements in students’ critical thinking skills remain an anticipated potential that requires empirical verification through field implementation and effectiveness testing in future studies.

A SPEAK CUSTOM: HOW THE MARKOBAR TRADITIONAL CEREMONY AFFECTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER EDUCATION STUDENTS' SPEAKING SKILL
Speaking is one way to convey messages and mandates verbally. In this process, the speaker acts as an encoder, using language codes to send messages and mandates. These messages are then received by the listener who serves as a decoder, breaking down the codes conveyed to provide meaning and interpretation. This communication process occurs interactively, with speakers and listeners alternating roles, creating a dynamic reciprocal communication flow. The goal of this research is to ascertain how the application of the Markobar custom be learning strategy impacts the speaking abilities of fifth grade Elementary School Teacher Education. Markobar, an oral tradition from the Mandailing culture, was transformed into a learning strategy that focuses on delivering messages in turns, with politeness and structure. A quantitative approach with an experimental design was employed in this study. Class A, the experimental group, received a learning intervention using Markobar, and Class B, the control group, utilized the lecture method. The data collcetive involved a speaking skills observation sheet that comprised indicators of expression, fluency, sentence structure, word choice, and content accuracy. The outcomes of the tests for normality and homogeneity indicated that the data followed a normal distribution and was homogeneous. The significance value for Hypothesis was 0.000 < 0.05. it means, the use of Markobar significantly affected the enhancement of students' speaking skills. This study's findings suggest that the Markobar strategy is effective for enhancing students' speaking skills and serves as a significant initiative for local culture preservation in education. Deviations from expected outcomes—such as persistent student passivity—can be attributed to heterogeneous student backgrounds, where not all comprehend Mandailing language/terms, coupled with limited rehearsal time for markobar exercises, preventing universal achievement of advanced proficiency levels.

FEMINISM MOVEMENT AND THE CHALLENGES OF PATRIARCHY IN INDONESIAN MASS MEDIA
This study examines the dynamics of the feminist movement in confronting patriarchal challenges within Indonesia’s mass media. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations involving five key informants active in both media and feminist advocacy. The findings indicate that feminist representation in mainstream media remains limited and often biased. Feminist narratives are frequently simplified or distorted, reinforcing stereotypes that align with patriarchal norms. Feminist activists continue to encounter significant barriers, including restricted access to mainstream platforms, editorial limitations, and digital harassment. Despite these obstacles, social media has become an important alternative space for advancing gender equality discourse and amplifying women’s voices. The study emphasizes the urgent need for critical communication strategies, the empowerment of alternative media, and the enhancement of digital literacy to challenge patriarchal dominance. Ultimately, this research underscores the ethical responsibility of the media to construct fair, inclusive, and consistent narratives that support feminist movements and promote gender justice in Indonesia
Digitalizing Halal Assurance: An Integrated Framework of Blockchain, IoT, and Laboratory Verification
The growing complexity of global halal supply chains has exposed structural weaknesses in conventional halal certification systems, particularly in ensuring traceability, transparency, and scientific verification. This study aims to propose an integrated conceptual framework for strengthening halal product assurance by combining blockchain technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), and laboratory testing within a unified governance model. Using a conceptual and theory-driven approach, the framework systematically maps each technology to specific stages of the halal value chain—from raw material sourcing and processing to logistics and certification—thereby forming a closed-loop compliance monitoring system. Blockchain enables immutable and transparent data recording, IoT supports real-time monitoring of environmental and logistical conditions, and laboratory testing provides empirical validation of product composition. The integration of smart contracts further automates compliance verification, reducing human error and increasing operational efficiency. The framework is theoretically grounded in traceability systems theory, socio-technical systems theory, and the objectives of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharīʿah), ensuring both technological reliability and Shariah alignment. The study’s implications highlight the potential of ethically aligned digital innovation to enhance trust, accountability, and governance in halal assurance, offering strategic insights for certification bodies, industry actors, and regulators navigating halal governance in the digital era.

Toward a Maqasid-Based ESG Framework: Reconceptualizing Sharia Investment Screening for Sustainable Finance
ABSTRACT – The growth of Sharia-compliant investment reflects increasing Muslim awareness toward aligning financial decisions with Islamic principles. However, current screening mechanisms predominantly focus on formal halal–haram criteria without adequately addressing sustainability dimensions, while Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks have emerged globally as key instruments for evaluating corporate sustainability and ethical conduct. This article aims to develop a conceptual analysis examining how ESG criteria can be integrated into Sharia investment screening through the theoretical lenses of fiqh muamalah and maqashid sharia. Employing a qualitative methodology with a normative-juridical literature review approach, this study analyzes classical fiqh literature, maqashid theory, Indonesian Sharia capital market regulations, and contemporary ESG research. The findings reveal that ESG principles share substantial conceptual alignment with fiqh muamalah fundamentals, including the prohibition of riba (usury), gharar (uncertainty), and maysir (gambling), as well as the imperatives for justice and transparency; furthermore, ESG supports the realization of maqashid sharia encompassing the protection of religion (ḥifẓ al-dīn), life (ḥifẓ al-nafs), intellect (ḥifẓ al-'aql), lineage (ḥifẓ al-nasl), and wealth (ḥifẓ al-māl). The study concludes that ESG should function as a secondary filter applied only after Sharia admissibility is established, cannot override categorical prohibitions such as riba, gharar, and maysir, and must be operationalized through Maqasid-based indicators without employing cross-domain composite scores that might offset daruri (essential) violations, while acknowledging implementation challenges related to measurement standards, greenwashing risks, and regulatory limitations.

THE ROLE OF WILAYATUL HISBAH IN PREVENTION OF KHAMR: Study In Simeulue District
Efforts to prevent the abuse of khamr in Simeulue Regency refer to the Aceh Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 10 of 2005 which regulates the supervision and prosecution of the circulation and consumption of khamr. In the regulation, it is stated that one of the elements that have an important role in supervision is Wilayatul Hisbah (WH). This research is a type of empirical legal research or known as nondoktrinal research which is qualitative in nature that emphasizes the process and operation of law in society. The results of this study indicate that so far the role of Wilayatul Hisbah Simeulue Regency has not been running optimally, due to various internal and external obstacles faced by Wilayatul Hisbah, such as limited personnel, lack of operational budget, and lack of cross-sector coordination with related agencies. Therefore, to maximize the role of Wilayatul Hisbah in preventing khamr cases, several strategic steps are needed, including: increasing the capacity of WH human resources, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, and strengthening coordination between WH, police, and community leaders. In addition, an educative and preventive approach is needed, not only repressive, to build public awareness of the dangers and prohibitions of khamr consumption according to Islamic law and positive law in Aceh
