History and culture of "Himuro"&"Yukimuro" in Japan and their current situation
Get PDFThis thesis summarizes the history and culture related of icehouses “Himuro” and
snow cellars “Yukimuro” in Japan. In the 1st period (from ancient to Edo Period),
Chinese icehouse culture (ice collection / ice storage technology /utilization of the stored
ice) was introduced to Japan through migrants, and the upper classes in the aristocratic
and samurai society only were able to use the stored ice and snow. In the 2nd period
(from Meiji to early Showa period), the Western ice culture by Boston ice imported was
conveyed, and the supply and consumption of stored snow and ice was booming to mass
society too. The present age, in which the stored snow and ice is re-evaluated and tried
to be used as one of the renewable energy resources, can be positioned in the 3rd period.
In this 3rd period, the utilization of stored snow and ice is showing a new aspect with

Introducing a New Historical Source on the Story, Utatsu kataki-uchi A Tōhoku Tale with an Important Episode Set at Etchū Tateyama
Get PDFUtatsu kataki-uchi relates a tale of murder and revenge that occurs in the village
of Utatsu, in the township of Minami-Sanriku, Miyagi Prefecture. When the parents
of siblings Ofude and Jūjirō are murdered, the children search for the killer with the
assistance of their great uncle, Jihei (a.k.a. Tarikibō). Ultimately they are able to
take revenge on the criminal, Matsuoka Mondo (a.k.a. Mikumo Danjō).
In 1995 the folklore scholar Kawashima Shūichi identified eleven recensions of
Utatsu kataki-uchi. Since then, in June of 2020 another recension sold on Yahoo’s
auction website, and more recently this author acquired an additional recension,
bringing the total number of known manuscripts of the story to thirteen. This article
introduces and transcribes the complete text of the most recently discovered recension

The Meaning of “Trust” in the Theories of the Privacy as Trust — to Define the Fiduciary Duty in the Privacy Protection —
Get PDFThe purpose of this article is to discuss the meaning of “trust” for overcoming the
hurdles in introducing the theory of the “privacy as a trust” into Japanese law.
The rise of platform businesses (especially matching services) in recent years has
made it difficult to protect personal information through the informed consent (notice
and choice) model. In solving this problem, the theory of Privacy as Trust (or
information fiduciary) is useful.
There are, however, some hurdles to introduce this argument into Japan. Since the
concept of trust and fiduciary is not well known in Japan, it is not clear when and what
liability the provider shall have. To overcome it, this article discusses the meaning of
Trust in this theory.本稿の目的は、Privacy as Trust論を日本法に導入する場合に生じる課題に答えるために、trustの意義について検討することである。
近年のプラットフォーム事業（とくにマッチング型サービス）の隆盛によって、インフォームドコンセント（通知と選択）型のモデルで個人情報保護を図ることが困難になっている。その問題を解決するには、Privacy as Trustやinformation fiduciaryの理論が有用である。

Kokonoenogoshugo of Tateyama Ashikuraji shuto
Get PDF江戸時代、立山信仰の拠点集落であった山麓の芦峅寺と岩峅寺は加賀藩前田家の支配下
に置かれ、それぞれ一山と称して 38 軒の宿坊を構え、同藩の祈願所や立山禅定登山の基地
としての役割を果たしていた。
筆者は先般、Yahoo!オークションでこの芦峅寺に関わる九重御守護を購入したが、本稿
では、この作品を史料として紹介し、さらに立山信仰史研究の分野における史料的価値を
提示した。具体的には、まず作品に掲載された仏や神の図像の種類や、種子で記載された
諸尊の真言の種類を明らかにした。次に、巻頭や巻末の文言に護摩供養や般若会に関する
用語が見られ、さらに図像は釈迦三尊と十六善神などで構成されていることから、このお
守りの中心的な効験は般若会に基づくものと断定した。そこで、芦峅寺の各種祈祷や年中
行事のうち護摩供養と般若会が共に含まれる儀式を抽出し、それらの内容を分析した。そ
の結果、護摩供養と般若会が共に含まれる儀式は、いずれも、加賀藩前田家に支配される
なかで、その祈願所としての性格を持つ芦峅寺一山が、藩主の命で執行を義務づけられた
ものばかりであった。芦峅寺の九重御守護はその効験を含んだ副次的なお守りとして、一
山単位ではなく各宿坊単位で制作されたと考えられる。departmental bulletin pape
An Effort in the Practical Training prior to Clinical Practice in Hokuriku University (4)
Get PDFPractical training program which we have performed ends at this fiscal year. We took
this opportunity to assess the program, by using results of questionnaire for the students. A part of the content and assessment procedure to the students was different
from our previous report. In addition, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) influenced
our planed learning strategies. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, therefore, we
partially used Microsoft Teams as a communication tool among students and teachers,
instead of practical experience, if not ideal.
Although verification of results is not enough at the present, we incorporated outcome-based education (OBE) based on the revised model core curriculum (2013). We
applied rubric to assess performance, and behavior of the students.
We guessed we could embody the concept of something helpful to clinical practice in
pharmacy and hospital, on the other hand, there were some students who felt our description was complicated, according to questionnaire.

The Ideology Implied by the Buzzword "Self-Responsibility"
Get PDFThis paper grasps the meaning and appearance of the buzzword "self-responsibility"
and points out the ideological implications behind its use in the media, through a
quantitative and qualitative survey of headlines of magazine articles.
As a result of a text mining survey using KH Coder, the articles with the buzzword
"self-responsibility" were roughly divided into "articles related to money" and "articles
related to the Japanese hostage incident in 2004".
The former forms the context that "it is the person who bears the risk of losing money",
that is, focuses on the risk. On the other hand, the latter is further divided into "articles
about hostage cases" and "articles about 'self-responsibility' itself", both of which form
a critical context.
In the "article on the hostage case", in addition to the meaning of "self-help", the
criticism of the victim "do not bother others" is implied in the word "self-responsibility".
And, in the "article about 'self-responsibility' itself", there are discourses that
criticizes "self-responsibility" as a kind of idea and its supporters as "government
supporters". Also, there are discourses that criticize those who deny the idea of "selfresponsibility" as "anti-government supporters".本稿では、流行語「自己責任」の意味内容と出現様相を把握し、雑誌記事見出しの量的および質的調査を通じて、メディアでの使用の背後にあるイデオロギー的意味を指摘する。
KH Coderを使用したテキストマイニング調査の結果、「自己責任」という流行語の記事は、「金銭に関する記事」と「2004年の日本人質事件に関する記事」に大別された。
前者は、「お金を失うリスクを負うのは人である」という文脈を形成し、リスクに焦点が当てられている。
一方、後者はさらに「人質事件に関する記事」と「「自己責任」そのものに関する記事」に分けられ、どちらも批判的な文脈を形成している。「人質事件に関する記事」では、「自己責任」の意味内容として「自業自得」に加え、被害者に対する「他人に迷惑をかけるな」という批判的ニュアンスが含まれている。そして、「『自己責任』そのものに関する記事」では、一種の思想としての「自己責任」を指示する人々を「政府の支持者」として措定し、彼らを批判する言説が認められる。また、「自己責任」の考えを否定する人々を「反政府支持者」として措定し、彼らを批判する言説も認められる。departmental bulletin pape
A study on the differences of “Isomorphic Synonyms ” between Chinese and Japanese from the perspective of collocation
Get PDFAs is known to us, there are numbers of homographs in Chinese and Japanese
languages, and these words can be, based on their meanings, classified into isomorphic
synonyms, homonyms and isomorphic near synonyms. They are playing a special role
in the Contrastive Study of Chinese and Japanese because of their similarities in form
and conceptual meaning, and their advantages in quantity and proportion. Especially
Isomorphic Synonyms, because of their highly similar conceptual meaning, we can not
fully and objectively grasp the differences between Chinese and Japanese only by
means of dictionaries and introspection. This study uses the corpus to investigate the
differences of Isomorphic Synonyms between Chinese and Japanese from the
perspective of collocation. At the same time, it also summarizes the investigation
methods, steps and precautions in operation from three aspects:1) Constraints on
syntagmatic relation and combination, 2) Analysis of co-occurrence words ,3) Combined
strength and characteristic collocation. Through these practical investigations and the
summary of methodology, it is expected to be helpful to the understanding and use of
bilingual users and the front-line educational activities of Japanese linguistics.中日両言語には数多くの中日同形語が存在し、意味の異同に基づいて主に同形同義語、同形類義語、同形異義語という三種類に分けられる。その形態上・概念的意味の類似性、及び量的優位性により、中日対照研究においては特徴的な語彙グループとして取り扱われている。その内、特に中日「同形同義語」は概念的意味に高度な類似性を持っているため、辞書頼りや内省のみで、対象語の相違性を網羅的・客観的に把握することは無理がある。本研究はコロケーションの視点から言語事実に潜まれる両語の相違点や特徴性を考察している。さらに1）統語的繋がりや組み合わせの制限要因、2）共起語の性質分析、3）結びつきの強さや特徴的なコロケーションという三段階に分けて、実際に調査を行う際の方法、段取り及び注意事項をまとめている。このような方法論のまとめによって、二言語併用者の理解と使い分けのみならず、日本語教育現場での語彙指導教育までに役立つと期待できる。departmental bulletin pape
A survey of learners’ awareness of tasks in online Japanese language education
Get PDFIn this survey, I was able to clarify from the questionnaire survey what level of
awareness students had when working on tasks in classroom activities.
Due to the coronavirus, I conducted activities to enable learners to interact with
people outside the classroom and connect online with society in Japan including
international students who cannot enter Japan. However, I began to wonder if
classroom activities that seemed to be connected to society might not actually be
connected to society. Learners interact with people outside the classroom, but is there
a sense of "relationship with society"? Although classes were connected outside of the
classroom, I was wondering if the learners were conducting classroom activities with
the aim of "connecting to society." Online Japanese language education is also
connected to society, but learners are mainly interacting with teachers, and are they
aware that they are involved in society?
I was able to clarify from the questionnaire survey the level of awareness we were
working on regarding issues in the classroom activities. As a result, it became clear
that the learner's consciousness was inside the classroom. Although it seems that they
were trying to get involved outside the classroom, the main purpose was to receive
credits and improve their Japanese proficiency, and many learners did not have much
awareness of "connecting with society."本調査では、教室活動での課題についてどのような意識を持ちながら取り組んでいたのかをアンケート調査から明らかにした。
コロナウイルスにより、来日できない留学生に対してオンラインで学習者が教室外の人々と関り、社会とのつながりを持つことができるような活動を行った。しかし、社会とは一見つながっているような教室活動は実際の社会にはつながっていないのではないだろうかと考えはじめた。学習者は教室外の人々との交流はあるが、そこに「社会と関わる」という意識はあるのだろうか。教室外とつながってはいるが、学習者が「社会につながること」を目的としながら教室活動を行っているのかについて疑問を感じた。オンラインでの日本語教育でも社会につながっているが、学習者は教師とのやり取りが中心になっており、学習者に社会と関っているという意識はあるのだろうか。
そこで、本調査では、教室活動での課題についてどのような意識を持ちながら取り組んでいたのかをアンケート調査から明らかにした。その結果、学習者の意識は教室内だったことが明らかになった。教室外と関ろうとしていた様子はうかがえるものの、それは単位をもらうことや日本語能力の向上が主な目的であり、「社会とつながる」という意識はあまりない学習者が多かった。departmental bulletin pape
A Study of the Use of Pronouns in Japanese TV Programs
Get PDFThe aim of this article is to consider the use of Japanese personal pronouns in TV programs.
Todoroki (1998) shows that there are differences between personal pronouns in Japanese
and those in English. According to Todoroki (1998), Japanese personal pronouns are rarely
used in TV news programs or newspapers. This is one of the characteristics of Japanese
personal pronouns. Including this linguistic phenomenon, Todoroki (1998) compares personal
pronouns in Japanese with those in English, which provides an analysis of personal pronouns
based on the theory of territory of information developed in Kamio (1990) and proposes a
functional constraint on the occurrence of personal pronouns in Japanese.
However, personal pronouns are sometimes used in Japanese news programs as of 2021.
This article considers why there is a change in the use of personal pronouns in Japanese
TV news programs and clarifies the reason personal pronouns sometimes appear in TV news
programs unlike newspapers, by comparing TV news and entertainment programs. A lot of
TV news programs have been changed to be similar to entertainment programs, especially,
to TV drams. The number of personal pronouns used in TV drams has been increasing in
recent years. This affects the language used in news programs and causes personal pronouns
