There is a decreasing trend in rabbit meat production because production costs are very close to the revenues obtained, mainly due to the increase in feed prices, which represent up to 70% of the expenses in farms. Therefore, ensuring that animals efficiently utilize feed is a characteristic of interest to producers. This is the main criterion for selecting terminal males in genetic improvement programs, where a three-way crossbreeding is used to take advantage of heterosis and obtain more productive hybrids, selected for feed efficiency. This study compares the R Line, selected for growth traits, with the LP Line, selected for maternal traits, with the aim of finding differences between them in a semi-open system where environmental conditions are not controlled. The weight and feed consumption of 150 rabbits were monitored during the fattening period, and differences in weight gain, average daily gain, and feed conversion ratio were compared between the two genetic lines. The analysis showed significant differences in productive traits in a season with moderate temperatures, always favoring the R Line, which had a higher final weight, an average daily gain 11.4 g/day higher, and a feed conversion ratio 26.31% lower compared to the LP Line.Veterinari

classified by the WHO as postviral fatigue syndrome (ICD-11 8E49 code). Diagnosing ME/CFS,
often overlapping with fibromyalgia (FM), is challenging due to nonspecific symptoms and lack of
biomarkers. The etiology of ME/CFS and FM is poorly understood, but evidence suggests viral
infections play a critical role. This study employs microarray technology to quantitate viral RNA
levels in immune cells from ME/CFS, FM, or co-diagnosed cases, and healthy controls. The results
show significant overexpression of the Torque Teno Mini Virus 9 (TTMV9) in a subgroup of ME/CFS
patients which correlate with abnormal HERV and immunological profiles. Increased levels of
TTMV9 transcripts accurately discriminate this subgroup of ME/CFS patients from the other study
groups, showcasing its potential as biomarker for patient stratification and the need for further
research into its role in the disease. Validation of the findings seems granted in extended cohorts by
continuation studies. This study was funded by an ME Research UK (SCIO charity number SC036942) grant, and

All authors have read and approved the final manuscript. The philopatric and sedentary nature of female S. canicula, its high abundance as a bycatch and resilience to regular exploitation by bottom trawl fisheries and its widespread distribution, makes it a potentially good candidate as a biomonitor species. To evaluate this potential, microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) and Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (GF-AAS) were used to analyse Pb, Cd, and Cu in muscle tissue of individuals captured in the Western Mediterranean (Alicante, Spain). A monthly assessment of the concentration of these three analytes was conducted from November 2019 to November 2020 with 300 individuals. Results showed the existence of slightly higher mean concentrations during warmer seasons for Pb and Cd with mean concentrations for Pb and Cu peaking in Autumn 2019 and during Spring 2020 in the case of Cd. Significant differences in analyte concentrations found between non-consecutive months suggested gradual variability in time. Although space-wise, time-persistent concentration hotspots were observed throughout the sample area, the magnitude of these appeared to be variable in time and should be evaluated in future studies. This study forms part of the ThinkInAzul program and was supported by MCIN with funding from the European Union NextGenerationEU (PRTR-C17.I1) and by Generalitat ValencianaThis study was also supported by the Catholic University of Valencia through an EDUCV PRE-2019–002 grant for in-training predoctoral research personnel as well as the 2021–159-001 and 2022–170-006 research aids.Ciencias del Ma

experimental and one control) to explore the effects of the Mediterranean diet and respiratory
muscle training on ventilatory fatigue, stress, and emotional performance of woodwind musicians. 70 students from the Valencia Conservatory of Music were recruited and randomized into
three groups: respiratory training group + nutrition program (RTG; n = 17), control group (CG; n
= 35) and nutrition program group (NPG; n = 18). The nutritional program was based on
Mediterranean a diet. Body composition, emotional intelligence, physiological stress and ventilatory response were assessed for all groups before and after intervention. Mixed ANOVA showed
main effects of diet and training interventions on emotional attention (F = 8.042; p = 0.006),
clarity (F = 9.306; p = 0.003), repair (F = 5.527; p = 0.022), Forced-Expiratory-Volume (F =
30.196; p < 0.000) and Forced-Vital-Capacity (F = 21.052; p < 0.000), with both interventions
improving emotional intelligence and ventilatory variables. Bonferroni post-hoc analysis revealed
significant differences of RTG and CG for emotional attention (MD = 4.60; p = 0.023),
comprehension (MD = 5.734; p = 0.005), repair (MD = 8.576; p < 0.000), FEV1 (MD = 0.862; p
= 0.005), and FCV (MD = 1.608; p < 0.001); with similar results when comparing NTG and CG:
emotional attention (MD = 4.156; p = 0.041), comprehension (MD = 4.473; p = 0.033), repair
(MD = 6.511; p = 0.001), Forced-Expiratory-Volume (MD = 1.608; p < 0.001), and Forced-Vital-
Capacity (MD = 1.183; p < 0.001). No significant effects of experimental groups were observed
for physiological stress variables (p > 0.05). This results suggests that respiratory training enhances emotional intelligence and lessens respiratory fatigue in musicians, and a combination of a
Mediterranean diet and respiratory muscle training further boosts emotional intelligence, albeit
with limited impact on physiological stress. This study represents a novel investigation into the
approach by dietary interventions and respiratory muscle training in wind musicians since there
are no studies that analyze it.Ciencias de la Actividad Física y del Deport

the manuscript.Intermittent fasting (IF) is a dietary approach that has gained popularity in recent years.
More and more Spanish people are following this eating pattern, which consists of alternating periods
of fasting with periods of food intake. Its benefits include improved metabolic and vascular health
and weight loss. Objectives: 1. To study the prevalence of IF among the Spanish population. 2. To
explore how demographic factors influence the choice to adopt this dietary approach. Methods: A
descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on the Spanish population using the NutSo-HH
questionnaire, which was constructed, validated, and disseminated by the research team through a
non-probabilistic snowball sampling approach, collecting socio-demographic data and nutritional,
social and lifestyle habits of the population. Results and conclusions: A valid sample of 22,181 people
participated, of whom 4.59% (n = 1018) said they practiced IF. The data show that more middle-aged
men than women practice IF. In addition, individuals who follow IF methods are less likely to have
no control over their food intake, are less scared to gain weight and have a higher body image, but
no differences were found related to unhealthy food and nights out. There were also no significant
differences in terms of the level of education, income, size of municipality, or region of residence. In
conclusion, a person who practices IF seems to have adopted a healthier lifestyle and social habits.Universidad Católica de Valencia San Vicente MartirNutrición humana y dietétic
Prevention of sacituzumab govitecan (SG)-related neutropenia and diarrhea in patients (pts) with triple-negative or HR+/HER2- advanced breast cancer (ABC; PRIMED): A phase 2 trial
SG is a Trop-2 directed antibody-drug conjugate approved for pts with advanced,
pretreated, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and HR+/HER2- breast cancer. The most
common SG-related adverse events (AEs) are neutropenia and diarrhea which can lead to
treatment modifications. Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and loperamide (L)
are frequently used for managing these AEs. PRIMED is assessing if primary prophylaxis with
G-CSF and L can improve the tolerability of SG.Medicin
Effect of exercise and manual therapy or kinesiotaping on sEMG and pain perception in chronic low back pain: a randomized trial

of the manuscriptThe importance of incorporating lumbo-pelvic stability core and controlling motor exercises in patients with
chronic low back pain (CLBP) reinforces the use of strategies to improve biopsychosocial beliefs by reducing
biomedical postulations. However, clinical practice guidelines recommend multimodal approaches incorporating
exercise and manual therapy (MT), and instead reject the application of kinesiotape (KT) in isolation. Therefore, the
objectives of this study were to analyze the effects of 12 weeks of exercises combined with MT or KT on perceived
low back pain using the visual analog scale (VAS) and muscle electric activity measured with electromyography
(EMG) of the rectus abdominis and multifidus in CLBP (mild disability) and to explore the relationship between
the rectus abdominis and multifidus ratios and pain perception after intervention. A blinded, 12-week randomized
controlled trial (RCT) was carried out, involving three parallel groups of patients with CLBP. The study was
registered at Clinicaltrial.gov and assigned the identification number NCT05544890 (19/09/22). The trial underwent
an intention-to-treat analysis. The primary outcome revealed a multimodal treatment program supplemented
by additional therapies such as MT and KT, resulting in significant reductions in perceived low back pain. The
subjective assessment of individuals with CLBP indicated no discernible distinction between exclusive core stability
exercises and control-motor training when combined with MT or KT. Notably, our findings demonstrated positive
alterations in both the mean and peak EMG values of the right rectus abdominis in the exercise group, suggesting
a beneficial impact on muscle activation. This study focused on assessing the activation levels of the trunk
musculature, specifically the rectus abdominis (RA) and multifidus (MF), in individuals with CLBP exhibiting mild
disability according to the Oswestry Disability Index. Importantly, improvements in the VAS values were observed
independently of changes in muscle electrical activity.Fisioterapi
Valencia CF and the recovery of sports relations between Spain and Mexico (1954-1966)
Between 1963 and 1966, the Spanish club Valencia Club de Fútbol visited Mexico on two occasions, a country with which Spain had not maintained diplomatic relations since the end of the Civil War in 1939 and where numerous Spanish Republican exiles lived. In the expatriate colony, the presence of Valencian citizens stood out, organized in a Regional House, who, in coordination with the Valencia board of directors, promoted the visit of the club from their city of origin. Among the most outstanding milestones of these two expeditions, on the sporting level, the participation of the club in the inauguration acts of the Azteca Stadium and, on the social and political aspect, the resumption, in the midst of the Franco dictatorship, of relations with the exiled. This work is based on the analysis of private archives, Spanish and Mexican newspaper sources and abundant bibliography on the Spanish exile in the Central American country and allows us to conclude that the two tours were essential to normalize sports relations between both countries.Ciencias de la Actividad Física y del Deport
