A Study of Onomatopoeia in Dangibon : Focus on Seven Works, including “Imayou-Hetadangi”, “Nenashigusa” and “Furyu-Shidokenden”.
『田舎荘子』『当世下手談義』『根南志具佐』『根無草後編』『風流志道軒伝』『当世穴さがし』『成仙玉一口玄談』の七作品を対象に談義本に見られるオノマトペの特徴をまとめ、滑稽本との違いや関連を考察した。漢文訓読調を基本とするため和語のオノマトペは少ないが、漢語のオノマトペは滑稽本よりも多く見られた。漢文訓読的な固い文体の中に俗語的なオノマトペを用い、一般的な擬古文体では適宜和語のオノマトペを用いて滑稽味を醸し出している。格調高い場面や芝居風に描写する際は軍記物語に多用された古いオノマトペを用いるが、セリフには当時の会話のオノマトペを用いて新鮮味を出し、教訓臭をなくして身近な印象を与えている。滑稽本とは異なり、談義本では人物の心情や情景描写を慣用的な漢語で表す例が見られる。セリフに当代語を入れる点、芝居めいた人物描写がある点、俗語のオノマトペを用いることで生まれる面白み、擬音語を効果的に用いることで生まれる臨場感等が滑稽本のオノマトペに関連すると思われる。論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
Serum Periostin is Able to Stratify Type 2-Dominant Ulcerative Colitis
Background: Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a heterogeneous disease composed of different endotypes. It is important to develop useful biomarkers for endotyping UC; however, available biomarkers are insufficient. We have already established that periostin is a surrogate biomarker of type 2 inflammation. In this study, we examined the usefulness of periostin as a biomarker of UC and the role of periostin in its pathogenesis.
Methods: We examined periostin expression in the colons of UC patients. We next investigated serum periostin in UC patients and its correlation with eosinophilic infiltration in their colons. We then examined whether serum periostin could predict the efficacy of oral prednisolone. Finally, we investigated the role of periostin in UC pathogenesis by creating its genetic deficiency using dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-treated mice.
Results: Periostin expression and serum periostin were significantly high in UC patients compared to healthy controls; however, both were diverse, showing heterogeneity of the underlying mechanism of UC. Both serum periostin and tissue periostin expression, but not blood eosinophils, were significantly associated with eosinophil infiltration. Type 2-dominant UC patients as defined by serum periostin showed significantly higher clinical remission rates for the treatment with oral prednisolone. Genetic deficiency in periostin improved colonic inflammation in a DSS-treated mouse model.
Conclusions: Periostin can be a useful biomarker to stratify type 2-dominant UC patients, thereby predicting the efficacy of oral prednisolone. Moreover, periostin plays an important role in the setting of type 2-dominant UC.論文(Article)[Notice]

Recognition of Papers Published in 2024 on School Social Workers
本研究では、最新の研究である2024年に刊行されたスクールソーシャルワーカーに関する論文の見解を検討した。その結果、各地域の学校の職務内容が異なることが、教職員におけるスクールソーシャルワーカーの職務内容に対する理解を困難にしている。管理職にスクールソーシャルワーカーの動きや情報収集の重要性を理解してもらい、直接情報にアクセスできる枠組みを意識すると、活動の拡大に効果的である。スクールソーシャルワーカーが効果的に機能するためには、学校組織全体のダイナミクスや方針に積極的に関与し、働きかける必要がある。小中高等学校と特別支援学校で共通して重視される役割は、仲介の役割、関係機関との連絡調整、支援体制の構築で、各学校で特徴的役割がある。特別支援教育で活用するためには、効果的支援を実現させるマニュアルや実践モデルの提示が求められる。これらの見解等が見いだされた。スクールソーシャルワーカーが学校や関係機関と連携して機能するためには、上記の見解を踏まえて検討する必要があると示唆された。論文(Article)journal articl
Modulation of Antimicrobial Activities of Aib‐Based Artificial Amphipathic α‐Helical Peptides by Incorporating Histidine Residues
Cationic antimicrobial peptides (CAMPs) exhibit potent antibacterial activity by disrupting bacterial membranes. We investigated the effect of histidine incorporation on BKBA-20, a designed amphiphilic helical peptide composed of alternating 2-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) and lysine. Substitution at lysine sites (1a–1e series) reduced net charge and antimicrobial activity, though certain analogues (1c, 1d) demonstrated minimal antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli. In contrast, substitution at Aib sites (2a–2c series) preserved some extent of helical structure and improved activity under acidic conditions. Notably, substitutions at the terminal of the peptide were more effective at acidic pH, while the slightly medial side of the peptide favored activity at neutral pH. Hemolysis assays confirmed low cytotoxicity of the modified peptides. These results suggest histidine incorporation as a promising strategy to broaden the spectrum of CAMPs, particularly against Gram-negative bacteria, without increasing toxicity.論文(Article)[Notice]

Thoughts and Expressions of Tadahito Mochinaga in His Handwritten Notebook “Animator’s Jobs”(IV)
The authors have submitted “Animatorʼs Jobs” (I), (II), and (III) in succession. This is the last of the four reports. Previous journals (I) and (II) were written in two parts from handwritten notes (1), journal (III) was handwritten notes (2), and this journal (IV) is handwritten notes (3). These notes are written in a memo-like style. These are English translations of the contents of three volumes of handwritten notes titled “Animatorʼs Jobs” left by Mochinaga Tadahito, making use of the original text as much as possible. However, some of the meaning cannot be understood from the original text, and due to subtle differences between Japanese and English, this is more of a free translation rather than a literal translation. It is a clear image of how Tadahito Mochinaga was contemplating puppet animation production and filmmaking from 1957 to 1962.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
Survey of Original Materials Rerated to Creative Activities in the Puppet Film Production : 7 Production Diaries
本報告は佐賀大学に保管されている持永只仁に関する原資料のうち、1955年から1960年までの5年間に、人形映画製作所のスタッフによって書かれた7冊の制作日誌の調査結果である。本報告ではこれらの制作日誌の記載内容を精査し、日々の作業内容や来訪者、イベントなど、当時の人形映画製作所での制作状況を明らかにした。
各制作日誌の記載期間と主な記載内容は以下の通りである。制作日誌1:1955年9月、1956年1月〜6月(『五匹の子猿たち』『ビールむかしむかし』)、制作日誌2:1956年6月〜9月(『ビールむかしむかし』『五匹の子猿たち』『ちびくろさんぼのとらたいじ』)、制作日誌3:1957年4月〜8月(『ふしぎな太鼓』「大洋漁業」CM)、制作日誌4:1957年8月〜1958年7月(『こぶとり』「中外製薬」他CM制作)、制作日誌5:1958年9月〜1959年7月(『王様になったきつね』CM制作)、制作日誌6:1958年9月〜1960年9月(助手会と職場会の議事録)、制作日誌7:1959年1月〜1960年7月(『王様になったきつね』『ピノキオの新しい冒険』CM制作)。制作日誌では記録の抜けている日付や記載内容に多少の濃淡がありながらも、当時の制作状況を窺い知ることができる貴重な資料となっている。論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
Practical Research on the Production Trial of a Recycling for Waste Ceramics at the Arita Campus.
SDGsは事業者や個人が取り組むべき社会課題として周知されている。有田焼をはじめとする陶磁器を生産する肥前窯業圏においても,大気汚染,水質汚染,生物多様性の危機,資源の枯渇などといった環境問題等,社会課題への自主的,積極的な取り組みは,企業の存続や活動といった事業経営の面からも切り離すことはできない。有田キャンパスはその肥前窯業圏の有田町に位置し,日々焼き物教育や研究を行っている。有田キャンパスでもこうした社会課題へ取り組むべく,キャンパスで排出される陶磁器の廃棄物に着目し,それを再資源化し,廃棄量削減に繋がるキャンパス内資源循環サイクルの取り組みの可能性を探る。The SDGs are well known as social issues that businesses and individuals should address. In the Hizen ceramic industry district, which produces ceramics such as Arita-yaki, voluntary and proactive efforts to address social issues such as air pollution, water pollution, biodiversity crisis, resource depletion and other environmental problems cannot be separated from the aspect of business management, such as the survival and activities of companies. The Arita Campus is located in the town of Arita in the Hizen ceramic industry district, where ceramics education and research are conducted on a daily basis. In order to tackle these social issues at the Arita Campus, we will focus on the ceramic waste generated on campus, recycle it and explore the possibilities of a resource recycling cycle on campus that will lead to a reduction in the amount of waste.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
