    Models of extracurricular activities in the school library

    U ovom radu govori se o modelima izvannastavnih aktivnosti koji predstavljaju jedan oblik organiziranog načina provođenja slobodnog vremena u školskoj knjižnici. Pošto je pokrenut proces za izradu novog nacionalnog kurikuluma s manifestom suverene škole „škole za život“ vrlo je važno da i prijedlog novog takvog kurikuluma sadrži godišnji plan i program rada školske knjižnice obogaćen novim sadržajima. Kultura slobodnog vremena pojam je kojim se istovremeno bave mnogi odgojno-obrazovni znanstvenici pokušavajući pružati rješenja za kvalitetno provođenje slobodnog vremena u školi. Suvremeni, ubrzan način življenja u kojem su roditelji učenika primorani sve više raditi, a učenici stoga ostaju puno vremena sami ili u školi, stavlja pred zaposlenike škole i njihove suradnike zadaću o zbrinjavanju, odgajanju i osmišljavanju programa za djecu u tom periodu. Cilj je ovog rada istaknuti važnost uvođenja izvannastavnih programa u školsku knjižnicu kako bi se učenici svestrano razvijali na mnogim područjima ljudskih interesa te bi se uključenošću u te programe podupirao i redoviti nastavni proces s boljim učincima i rezultatima. Također, predočeni su i prijedlozi za vrste aktivnosti koje je moguće realizirati u prostoru školske knjižnice s detaljnim opisom načina provođenja aktivnosti.This paper discusses models of extracurricular activities that represents one form of organized ways of spending free time in the school library. Since the process was started to create a new national curriculum with manifest sovereign school "school for life", it is very important that the proposal of such a novel curriculum, containing the annual plan and working program of the school library, is enriched with new contents. Culture of free time is a term which at the same time deals with the many educational researchers trying to provide solutions for high-quality implementation of free time at school. The modern, rapid way of living in which the parents of the students are forced to do more work, and the students remain, therefore, a lot of time alone in school, puts in front of the employees of the school and their associates the homework care, upbringing and devising programmes for children in that period. The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of the introduction of the extracurricular program in the school library to allow students the versatile development in many areas of human interest, and involvement in those programs to be supported in regular teaching process for a better effects and the results. Likewise, there are presented suggestions for activity types that can be realized in the space of the school library with a detailed description of how to perform the activity

    Gradska knjižnica Samobor : prikaz programa i usluga

    U radu je prikazan teorijski okvir za oblikovanje i organizaciju knjižničnih usluga i programa za korisnike u narodnim knjižnicama. Primjer programa i usluga narodne knjižnice prikazan je kroz rad Gradske knjižnice Samobor i organizacije usluga i programa na Odjelu za odrasle. Uz prikaz financijskog okvira u kojem djeluje knjižnica, prikazana je i suradnja knjižnice sa ostalim čimbenicima društvenog i kulturnog života grada i njen doprinos u kulturnoj ponudi kroz programe i usluge koje nudi.The paper elaborates the theoretical frame for shaping and organizing library services and programes for it's customers (users). The example of programs and services in the public library is shown through the organization of services and programes of the Samobor city library. The financial frame, in which the library functions, is also shown as also the collaboration with other members of social and cultural community in the city and also its contribution to city's cultural offer

    Plugins for Android

    U ovom diplomskom radu prikazana je Android platforma, najpopularnija proširenja funkcionalnosti i ORM proširenja funkcionalnosti, te njihova usporedba. Na početku je objašnjeno što je Android platforma, koje su značajke operacijskog sustava, programski jezici koji se koriste, alati izgradnje, te emulatori. Nakon toga prikazana su najpopularnija proširenja funkcionalnosti za Android platformu, s objašnjenjem kako i zašto se koriste i kako olakšavaju razvoj za Android platformu. U drugoj polovici rada objašnjeno je što su ORM-i i njihovi prednosti i nedostatci. Također su prikazana najčešće korištena ORM proširenja funkcionalnosti i dva rješenja koja ne koriste ORM, te je napravljena usporedba performansa između predstavljenih rješenja.In this graduate thesis the Android platform, most popular Android plugins and ORM plugins are explained and later compared. At the beginning the Android platform is explained, what are its features, which programming languages are used along with build tools and emulators. After this the most popular plugins for Android are presented with an explanation of how and why they are used and how they make Android development easier. In the second half of this thesis ORMs are explained alongside their advantages and disadvantages. The most used ORM plugins are presented alongside two non ORM solutions, after which a detailed performance comparison is made

    Public events and a construction of space – example of Sveta Nedelja’s Cultural Summer in the Kerestinec Castle

    Rad se bavi analizom korištenja prostora dvorca Kerestinec u kontekstu manifestacije Svetonedeljsko kulturno ljeto. Polazeći od teorijskih postavki antropologije festivala i antropologije mjesta i prostora, autorica istražuje različite načine konstrukcije i korištenja prostora dvorca kao zaštićenog nepokretnog kulturnog dobra upisanog u Registar kulturnih dobara Republike Hrvatske. Putem etnografske metode promatranja sa sudjelovanjem i polustrukturiranih intervjua, propituju se prakse i narativi aktera okupljenih oko javnih događanja u dvorcu (organizatori, izvođači, publika). Kroz problematiku obnove i revitalizacije dvorca, istražuje se i uloga kulturne politike.This thesis analyses the use of Kerestinec Castle’s space in the context of the manifestation Sveta Nedelja’s Cultural Summer. Starting from theoretical framework of anthropological festival studies and anthropology of place and space, the author analyses different ways of construction and usage of castle’s space as protected immovable cultural good listed in the Registry of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia. Relying on the participant observation ethnographic method and semi-structured interviews, the thesis questions practices and narratives of the actors gathered around public events in the castle (organisers, performers, audience). The role of cultural politics within the problems of the renovation and revitalisation of the castle is also analysed

    The Role of Mothers' Metaemotion in Socioemotional Competence of Preschool Children

    Cilj ovog istraţivanja bio je ispitati povezanost metaemocija majki s emocionalnom i socijalnom kompetencijom njihove djece predškolske dobi. Uz to, ţeljeli smo provjeriti postoje li razlike u metaemocijama majki s obzirom na rod njihova djeteta, postoje li rodne razlike u socijalnoj i emocionalnoj kompetenciji djece predškolske dobi, te koja je uloga roda u povezanosti majčinih metaemocija s emocionalnom i socijalnom kompetencijom njihove djece. U istraţivanju je sudjelovalo 106 djece, od čega 49 dječaka i 57 djevojčica, njihove majke i odgajateljice. Za ispitivanje majčinih metaemocija korištena je prilagoĎena verzija Upitnika strukture roditeljskih metaemocija (Brajša-Ţganec, 2002), a kao mjeru dječjeg emocionalnog prepoznavanja i razumijevanja koristili smo Intervju emocionalnog prepoznavanja i razumijevanja (Brajša-Ţganec, 2003). PrilagoĎena verzija upitnika Iowa Scales of Emotional Expressivity (Humrichouse, 2010) bila je mjera dječje emocionalne ekspresivnosti, a Upitnik odnosa s drugima mjera socijalne kompetencije konstruirana u svrhu ovog istraţivanja. Podatke su na posljednja dva instrumenta davale odgajateljice. UtvrĎena je značajna pozitivna povezanost izmeĎu dječje emocionalne ekspresivnosti i socijalne kompetencije, dok majčine metaemocije nisu bile povezane ni s emocionalnom niti sa socijalnom kompetencijom djece. Spomenuta povezanost nije se značajno razlikovala za dječake i djevojčice. Od rezultata na subskalama specifičnih emocija istaknula se povezanost pozitivne emocionalne ekspresivnosti sa socijalnom kompetencijom. Nadalje, utvrĎena je rodna razlika u emocionalnoj ekspresivnosti, pri čemu su dječaci, suprotno pretpostavkama, procijenjeni emocionalno kompetentnijima od djevojčica.The objective of this study was to examine the relationship of mothers' metaemotion with social and emotional competence of their preschool children. Furthermore, we wanted to examine if there are differences in mothers' metaemotion regarding their child's gender, gender differences of preschool boys and girls in social and emotional competence, and the role of gender in the relationship between mothers' metaemotion with social and emotional competence of their children. 106 children participated in the study, from which 49 were boys and 57 were girls, with their mothers and kindergarten teachers. The measure of mothers’ metaemotion was an adjusted version of Parental Metaemotion Philosophy Questionnaire (Brajša-Ţganec, 2002), child’s emotion recognition and understanding was measured with Emotion Recognition and Understanding Interview (Brajša-Ţganec, 2003), child’s emotional expressivity with an adjusted version of Iowa Scales of Emotional Expressivity (Humrichouse, 2010), in which kindergarten teachers assessed the children, while the Questionnaire of Relationship with Others, which was constructed for the purpose of this research, was the measure of social competence (the children were also assessed by their kindergarten teachers).A significant connection was observed between emotional expressivity and social competence, while mothers’ metaemotion were not connected to emotional, nor social competence. The mentioned relationship was not statistically different for boys and girls. From subscales of specific emotions one connection stood out – positive emotional expressivity was positively related to social competence. Furthermore, a gender difference in emotion expressivity was observed – boys, contrary to our expectation, were assessed as emotionally more competent than girls

    Comparison of patterns of obssesions and compulsions in digital and non-digital setting

    S obzirom na kontinuirani porast broja korisnika interneta, društvenih mreža i digitalne tehnologije, sve više svakodnevnih aktivnosti migrira u virtualni svijet. Jednako tako su se brojna istraživanja u psihologiji posvetila ispitivanju ponašanja osoba koje boluju od psihičkih poremećaja u virtualnom svijetu i međuodnosa korištenja interneta i tehnologije s razvojem psihičkih poremećaja. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je opisati i usporediti obrasce opsesija i kompulzija u digitalnom i nedigitalnom okruženju te ispitati međuodnos korištenja tehnologije i interneta i opsesivno – kompulzivnog poremećaja u tri dobne skupine. Korištena je kvalitativna metoda dubinskih intervjua, s 9 sudionika, po troje u svakoj dobnoj skupini, od toga 7 žena i 2 muškarca. Dobiveni rezultati sugeriraju da se kod sudionika isključivo s opsesijama ne javlja projekcija u digitalno okružje, dok se ona kod sudionika s opsesijama i kompulzijama javlja i to pretežito u kompulzijama. Dodatno, internet i tehnologija značajno utječu na razvoj opsesivno – kompulzivnog poremećaja. Pritom većina sudionika izvještava o javljanju novih opsesija ili kompulzija, dio sudionika navodi kako se nisu javili novi obrasci OKP-a, no da poremećaj zahvaća značajno veći dio njihovog života, dok je najmanji udio sudionika naveo da su se javile kratkotrajne promjene koje se nisu dugoročno ugradile u opsesivno – kompulzivni poremećaj. Također, većina sudionika izvještava o značajnom utjecaju interneta i tehnologije na svakodnevni život. Ovakvi trendovi sugeriraju da se psihoterapijske intervencije trebaju usmjeriti i na digitalni aspekt opsesivno – kompulzivnog poremećaja.With the continuous growth in number of Internet, social media and technology users, more and more everyday activities migrate towards virtual world. Similarly, more researches in psychology are devoted to examining the behavior of people suffering from different psychological disorders in a digital world and correlation between internet and technology usage and the development of psychological disorders. The aim of this research was to describe and compare the patterns of obsessions and compulsions in digital and non-digital setting and to examine the correlation of technology and internet usage and obsessive – compulsive disorder in three age groups. Qualitative method used was the semi-structured interview, with 9 participants, three in each age group, 7 women and 2 men. The results suggest that participants with obsessions only don't project them into digital setting, while participants with both obsessions and compulsions project mainly compulsions. Additionally, the research shows that internet has a significant influence on the development of obsessive – compulsive disorder. Most of the participants report developing new obsessions or compulsions, part of them report that they haven't developed new OCD patterns, but that the disorder affects a significant part of their life, while the least participants report that they've experienced short-term changes which haven't had a long-term impact on their obsessive – compulsive disorder. Most of the participants also report that internet has a significant influence on their everyday life. These trends suggest that psychotherapeutic interventions should also consider the digital aspect of obsessive – compulsive disorder

    Connection of conflicts at work with personality traits of the Five-factor model and intent to turnover

    Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati povezanost osobina ličnosti Petfaktorskog modela s interpersonalnim konfliktima na poslu te ispitati povezanost interpersonalnih konflikta na poslu s namjerom napuštanja organizacije. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 360 sudionika, podjednako muškaraca i žena, zaposlenih minimalno jednu godinu u organizaciji. Sudionici su ispunjavali Upitnik o demografskim i radnim karakteristikama zaposlenika, jedan petfaktorski upitnik ličnosti, Skalu interpersonalnih konflikata na poslu i Skalu namjere napuštanja organizacije. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su kako neuroticizam značajno, ali nisko korelira s interpersonalnim konfliktima na poslu, dok ostale osobine Petfaktorskog modela ne koreliraju s interpersonalnim konfliktima. Regresijska analiza je pokazala kako je samo neuroticizam značajan prediktor interpersonalnih konflikata na poslu, dok sociodemografske varijable nisu značajni prediktori. Drugom regresijskom analizom potvrđeno je kako su dob i spol značajni prediktori namjere napuštanja organizacije, kao i neuroticizam te interpersonalni konflikti.The aim of this study was to examine the association of personality traits of the Five-factor model and interpersonal conflicts at work and to examine the association of interpersonal conflicts and intent to turnover. The study included 360 equally male and female, employed at least one year in organization. Participants filled out the Employee Demographic and Work Characteristics Questionnaire, one personality traits questionnaire, Interpersonal conflict at work scale and Turnover Intentions scale. The results show that neuroticism has significant low correlation with interpersonal work conflicts, while other personality traits of the Five-factor model do not correlate with interpersonal conflicts. Regression analysis has shown that only neuroticism is significant predictor of interpersonal conflicts, while sociodemographic variables are not. The second regression analysis confirms age and sex as significant predictors of intent to turnover, as well as neuroticism and interpersonal conflicts

    Jezična obilježja filipinskog engleskog u emisiji “Tonight with Boy Abunda”

    This paper deals with the linguistic features of Philippine English on different levels of linguistic analysis, based on the corpus of three interviews from a Filipino talk show. The most important features of PE, as described in the literature on the subject, are summed up in the theoretical part of the thesis. The empirical part illustrates that apart from the well-known features found in the literature, there are also some other features, noticed in the present corpus, while some are in contrast with the assumptions from the literature on the subject. Some general conclusions were reached, especially on the phonetic level, based on the number of examples of one characteristic, while most of the other generalizations would have to be based on more extensive research
