Georgie Hurst Franks (1924-2001) lived all her life on the sound and at Wrightsville Beach, NC. She grew up by Shell Road, near Airlie. Her husband's family, the Franks, had a seafood market on Greenville Loop Road that was well-known for delicious seafood. She worked for 14 years at Babies Hospital and 35 years for the Howard Penton family
